I remember seeing this film in cinema. I was so hyped then the movie finished and the group i was with went to a bar and sat in silence for about 10 minutes. Thats how trash we thought it was.

This film is a metaphor for our country’s media the way they can cause hate, fear and more. This shows how much goes on behind the scenes and what little the average person knows about big events. How the media can convince Superman he’s worthless and not doing enough is crazy.

Why a lot of people hate these movies is because they’re so dark, they think Superman isn’t supposed to be this dark. But there are literally comics called justice league dark / elseworlds where so many bad things happen and everything isnt all happy. The directors took that rout because it’s different in super hero movies, and I personally think it works.

LOL, this is actually my third time watching this movie now and the ultimate cut is definitely better, I just couldn’t get into this movie at all, i felt like Ben affeclks Batman should’ve had a solo movie first before they did this film

They do have a fight between Thor and Superman on YouTube. It's pretty cool! Actually they have an entire fight with Marvel vs DC. It's pretty much the Avengers vs Justice League. It's awesome.

Yeah I second (third, fourth, whatever) when it's time for Justice League the Jack Snyder cut shouldn't even be a debate. You might need to record and/or release it in two parts as many reactors do...but the Snyder cut makes the theatrical release look like a college film project. Worth it.🤯

Batman doesn´t kill in the other movies or in the comics, Zack Snyder does not understand the character of Batman so he decided to do a more ´realistic´ version of Batman so that´s why he kills in this movie.

God damn that Warehouse scene still goes crazy, best Batman action scene hands down…so Wonder Woman(2017) is next, then Justice League SnyderCut, then Aquaman, and you can throw in James Gunn’s Suicide Squad last if you want but the rest of the DCEU not worth the time imo…

For as misguided as Snyder's idea of Superman is, his Batman is probably the best we'll get. The voice, the look, the branding, the brutality, Alfred. The fact that no civilian or cop has ever actually gotten a good look at him and the fact that even the people he saves are terrified of him. Might not be accurate but it's definitely the coolest portrayal. And of course, he's nowhere near as cool or intimidating in either version of Justice League. I don't suppose many would actually like a full feature film of Bruce just being brutal though.

You obviously don’t read comics lmao. Yes batman has killed in comics. Yes the main version of Batman does not kill, but there are versions of him that do. And the this movie took the different rout 🔥

Like others have said, once you reach the time for Justice League please use the Zack Snyder version and not the Joss Whedon. Zacks was the original movie as it was supposed to be before sadly his daughter took her life mid-production and he had to step away to allow himself to heal and to be there for his family. Joss Whedons version is a rushed, edited and butchered version that they put together for release.

So, a couple things. Superman didn't like Batman in the beginning because of the vigilante "justice". Batman didn't like superman because he saw him as a global threat that needed to be contained or put down. There are a few comics where batman kills but for the most of the fanbase it's a default that Batman does NOT kill. It's literally his one line he doesn't cross. personally, it's something that I like about the character because for some reason many people are bloodthirsty and want to see people die (kind of gross imo) it's weird to me that so many people are okay with murder and killing especially for revenge. "Eye for an eye makes the WHOLE world blind" revenge is a never-ending cycle of murder and shouldn't be seen as a good thing for society. Not to rant but that's one of the biggest problems with America in the modern world, prison system being a perfect example, instead of rehabilitation people just want to see "criminals" suffer or be killed. You don't fix problems with that mentality; you make it worse as shown in real life with our constantly growing prison population. As for the government being so questionable on Superman. Listen Superman is my favorite superhero of all time with no exceptions. If in real life a being like Superman existed, I would HOPE my government would find ways to ensure they could stop him if need be or to ensure he won't be playing god. same thing goes for marvel and the avengers. All I'm saying is there are VERY good reasons why vigilante justice is illegal. without "law and order" then it becomes "might makes right" and I guarantee that isn't a world you want to live in when we allow the weak/innocent or even misled to be killed because someone deems it as moral and there's no system to stop them. Not saying governments are perfect of course, but we can change governments and the structures within. You can't change a mob intent on "street justice" or control a being people worship as a god. Just want to end with saying that I love your guys' reactions and even though I may disagree with certain sentiments you hold I don't hold that against people. The whole point of America is to have different views but be able to discuss them and share your opinions while seeking progress through compromise whenever possible. Also wanted to add that the DCEU is dead now (thankfully imo) so don't worry about finishing or watching all the movies, just enjoy what you want out of it. :) I just hope yall get excited for the new DCU as I am. Seems like they are going with a much better vision than Snyder had, I'm all for it and all for seeing yall's reaction to it. Thank you for your content guys, peace and love.

I would have loved this more if it just remained in a stand alone trilogy...the ideas like having Batman being 20 years into being Batman to start the franchise and Superman dying happening in the 2nd film in the franchise is crazy...the DCEU is all over the place but there are some gems...hopefully James Gunn and Peter Safran's DCU will be more fulfilling, then DC will most likely have 3 billion dollar DC universes running rn with the Joker universe, The Batman universe, and the DCU

I soon as Batman started killing you know he does not understand what Batman is about not superman. There are so many other things wrong with this film that I couldn’t list them all or else it would be a paper. Just watch some of Snyder’s interviews on this film and they are nuts. Also I laugh everytime at the final fight between them. Why doesn’t Batman just pull out the spear at the start and just stab him lol. I guess his ego wouldn’t allow that unless he pummeled him first.

I think it’s an improvement in slight ways. But a lot of it is exactly the same. like its clear he shot a lot of the movie that was just redone with slight differences by Joss whedon. A lot of the plot holes and contrivances are still relevant to both versions. And the length as well. Look long movies I love if they have purpose. Putting 1/4 of the movie in slow mo and all the other self indulgences doesn’t justify 4 hours of movie. That being said Joss Whedons version is a Frankenstein disaster of a movie.

Batman has killed several times in the comics, and he straight up murdered people in Batman 1989 and Batman Returns 1992.

That just shows you know nothing about comics, those were the first issues of batman, that batman is nothing like the batman we see in the movies, I am talking about comics from the ultimate universe where the character of batman is truly developed, that is a campy and colurful version of Batman I don’t know if you ever heard of the 60’s batman show, that is not the dark knight version of batman we know today

What does this post even mean? You said "Batman doesn´t kill in the other movies or in the comics". David literally gave you mainstream batman comics in which he kills people. Others even chimed in with other films in which batman clearly kills. Batman essentially kills the Joker in The Dark Knight Returns, which is a more recent and "developed" batman.

Y'all HAVE to watch "Watchmen" (Director's Cut) if you appreciate Zack Snyder. The cinematography and direction is so amazing, it's practically a moving painting. I agree with the majority here in saying that the only decent remaining DCEU films are the first Wonder Woman, Justice League (Snyder Cut), and the 2021 Suicide Squad by James Gunn. I'm here for whatever y'all choose to watch regardless!

"Doomsday" the creature you saw at the end, in the comics was not related to Zod at all... and fun fact, was the 1st being to kill Superman, and as far as I know, the only one to do it by his own hands and power against Supermans.

So anyone else notice the fun fact that this movie came out the same year as season 7 of the Walking Dead and that Martha Wayne and Thomas Wayne are played by Lauren Cohen and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, AKA Maggie and Negan and well we all know how season 7 started lol I just realized that and was like oh shit.

To answer your question, no batman does not kill people and hates guns. This is the only movie where he does both. In this version hes been batman for far too long and even says himself that he’s changed into more of a criminal than a hero
