I still remember seeing this movie in theatres and when Cap pencil dropped into the middle of the ocean in that first scene I was sold, I turned to my boy and said “this man about to be on one” lol

dabbingcannasseur

Gotta hit the gym, but it's great knowing that this is here waiting for me when I get back! Will have some other things to comment, but for now I'll just leave it with the simple: This is still hands down my favorite MCU movie thats been put out.

Jasmine Reigns

This movie is easily my favorite mcu movie from beginning to end 🔥

William Darling

Yes u two are now starting phase 2 of the MCU and Vince u are correct. The next movie is Avengers Age of Ultron.

Zach Bogren

Guardians of the Galaxy is next!

William Darling

What I meant to say was this is where phase 2 really picks up. Me personally I liked Iron Man 3 and Thor The Dark World but they felt kinda “meh” to me.

SavageDiplomat

Guardians of the Galaxy is the next one before Avengers Age of Ultron.

Fujipredator

Yeah guardians is next and be ready it’s not like any marvel movie you’ve seen so far. But in a good way.

Christian Hoff

Guardians of the galaxy is the nest one. Avengers age of Ultron is after that. Loving the reactions keep it up.

Rashad Walker

Top 3 MCU film and knew you would love it! ... guardians of the Galaxy is next

Alex

ahhh i’m so excited for Guardians of the Galaxy!! one of the better mcu films imo

The French guy that fights 1 on 1 with Captain at the very beginning is a very famous and accredited UFC fighter George St. Pierre. He's considered a top 3 of all time and comes from (EDIT: French-Canada) so they kinda credited him well with giving him a french crew and getting a few punches in on a superhero! :) Watch his fights, he kicks nasty like in the fight!

dabbingcannasseur

So they start us off by giving us Captain America vs UFC legend GSP. I've always jokingly called it 'Captain America vs Captain Canada'. And just generally, it's always amusing to me when actors get to beat up actual savages. GSP could straight up cripple Chris with one of his kicks IRL. But then when they get into the heart of the story, it's a conspiracy theorists wet dream of a movie. And the way they mixed in actual history to fit their stories... 'Operation Paperclip' was a very real thing where the US saved, and then employed, a whole lot of pretty evil Nazis. Hell, NASA wouldn't exist without the Nazis. Brilliant of them to use that actual thing to fit the Hydra takeover plot. Throw in a little evil/muderous 'AI', mind controlled super soldiers... it's just all so fun. And then major props to them for how well they hid the Bucky thing. The reveal was perfection. Oh, and even though they're borderline cheesy, I can't help but love Cap's speech/"Captains orders" scenes. Plus the Pulp Fiction nod on Fury's headstone. Love this movie so much. Best the MCU has to offer.

dabbingcannasseur

FWIW... GSP isn't from France, he's from Quebec. He certainly was a savage with his kicks though. If you look close, you can actually see one of the techniques Joe Rogan had taught him a few years earlier on one of the kicks to the shield haha.

Chriis Josiiah

which of the sequels are you guy's favorite out of the Trinity (Thor, iron man, and Cap)

Carolyn

Guardians of the galaxy is next to watch

ImTorchhh

MachhJuann

Guardians of the Galaxy is next! Thing at the end was just for the future.

Lorenzo Baxter

Yeah I knew you guys would love this movie. Captain America is probably my favorite character of the original 6 Avengers. This movie really showed a lot of who Steve Rogers is. I love how selfless he is. In his second movie, he lays his life down on the line when the ships were all connected, he told Hill to fire now, even thought he could easily get killed. This movie flipped the script on who Captain America is. Until now, he's always been the one who follows orders. America's Golden Boy, and he's always going by the book. But here, his faith in government is completely eradicated. He now is questioning everything, and is loyal to his principles, rather than one form of authority. That was super unexpected, cause normally Cap isn't like that at all. The final fight with Bucky and Steve was super heartbreaking as well. I loved how Steve believed in Bucky that much, that he would let himself get beaten to near death, to try and get through to him. That's some real friendship. Also, the fight scenes in this movie are easily some of the best in the MCU. Especially, the Highway fight scene between Steve and Bucky. The knife work and the intensity of each punch being thrown, made it feel more high stakes. It wasn't just a bunch of flashy punches, Steve was fighting for his life and you can feel it. Cap kind of* needs to keep training. Obviously, the Super Soldier Serum didn't make him instantly a master in combat, and invincible. But his health, strength, speed, endurance, durability, and even his brain, are all permanently enhanced. So on that front, he doesn't have to train to keep his power. But of course, training keeps him in tip top shape in his skill and control over his strength. So of course training helps him, but he always will he incredibly strong, even if he stopped training. Fun fact, Captain America is one of the greatest psysical combatants in Marvel. Not the MCU, but the Marvel comics, which is where all this came from. There are a few people who outclassed him, but some of the people he's beaten in a fight are actually insane. So yeah, you do not want to come into a fight with Steve. 😅 Also, yeah even rubble won't break that shield. The reason is more a physics thing than a Vibranium thing lol. He's sitting on the ground, and he is enhanced in strength, with a piece of metal above him that cannot be broken, but also absorbs the force and vibrations of anything coming at it. Thats also why he survived the fall off of Shield Headquarters out of the elevator. The shield absorbed all of that impact, so his arm wouldn't be completely shattered, like it would've been otherwise. Same thing with the mini gun that he fights against. The force is absorbed, so he can do a full sprint against the guy, and the bullet force won't knock him off of his feet or anything. The shield, is in that case, the immovable object. But because he was standing, and wasn't fastened enough to the ground, the force of the grenade launcher in that close proximity, was enough to knock Steve off his feet. All this being said... this is not, in my opinion, the best movie in the MCU. Theres one that tops this. So... keep that in mind. This isn't the peak. Also, you guys have been in Phase 2 since Iron Man 3. The Avengers was the last movie in Phase 1, dealing with introducing, then bringing the Avengers together. Phase 2 is dealing with the aftermath of the events of the Avengers. Loki invading New York with an alien army. So you'll be in Phase 2 for a few more movies. The next movie is Guardians of The Galaxy. And that one, is a game changer. We've been dealing with semi tangible things on Earth. But things truly take off in a new direction. Marvel is much bigger than just the Avengers, so just keep that in mind as well. Can't wait for the reaction!

Summarized Lorenzo Baxter expresses their love for Captain America as a character in the Avengers movie, especially in how selfless he is. The movie shows a different side to Captain America, where he questions authority and remains loyal to his principles. The author also praises the fight scenes in the movie and discusses how the Super Soldier Serum enhances Captain America's physical abilities. They mention that the Captain America in Marvel comics is an even greater combatant than in the MCU. The author shares some fun facts about Captain America's shield and its abilities to absorb force and vibrations. They also mention that while this movie is not their favorite in the MCU, it is still worth watching. Finally, they encourage readers to keep in mind that the Marvel universe is much larger than just the Avengers, and the next movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, is a game-changer.

Trey Mitchell

Guardians of the Galaxy next! You both are in for a treat!

Lorenzo Baxter

It's not that much when you look at it, and if typing takes that much effort for you, then I don't know what to tell you homie. Sorry I'm passionate and took 5 minutes of my time 😅

FatJuggernaut

Nah son. If the one you're mentioning a film that is above this, being Infinity War, that is still the second best film. Winter Soldier tops it.

Lorenzo Baxter

Sorry, but thats just false. Infinity War is the better movie. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe people like Winter Soldier more, but that doesnt mean it's better. It's just the more popular. But the truly greatest MCU movie is Infinity War.
