Audrey Hepburn is my all time favorite of the classical movie genre. She is phenomenal. My fair lady is one of her best. Followed by Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Great choice! "Come on, Dover! Move your bloomin' arse!"

Loved your reaction to My Fair Lady. Although she had a pleasant singing voice most of Audrey Hepburn's singing was dubbed by Marni Nixon who was used to dub the singing in many films including for Natalie Wood in West Side Story (1961). The film My Fair Lady (1964) was based on a stage musical My Fair Lady (1956) which was based on a stage play Pygmalion (1913) and it's film version Pygmalion (1938). The original play was inspired by a story from Greek mythology of a sculptor Pygmalion who made a statue so beautiful he fell in love with it and the goddess Aphrodite (known as Venus in Roman mythology) turned the statue into a real woman. Julie Andrews was Eliza Doolittle in the 1956 stage musical but the part in the film was given to Audrey Hepburn instead because she was already a well known film actress. However, Julie Andrews got the part of Mary Poppins (1964) and she won the Oscar for best actress. Wikipedia and IMDB have much more information and trivia on the film.

Hello from Vancouver, Canada! I saw My Fair Lady on Broadway with my daughter in 2019! It is something that I will never forget, it was so good. I'm so glad you two enjoyed it.
