Glad to see you guys enjoyed it! This has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. Only three have successfully escaped from the rock and are still on the run of they are still alive.

Fun story, Sean Connery who played John Mason also played James Bond in the first movies in that movie franchise, and there's some fan theories that John Mason basically is the same character as the James Bond character he played in those movies, with Mason maybe being one of his aliases. If you like these kind of action thrillers, then maybe consider the Jack Ryan series of movies, starting with The Hunt For Red October, which also stars Sean Connery, and a very young Alec Baldwin.

3 people escaped the Rock together, no one knows if they made it alive or if they died swimming, there were 4 people that made a plan to escape together but one was left behind and he has informed on how they escaped. FBI searched for them for 17 years before they gave up.
