I've been to ruins of the Colosseum in Rome and they're are still quite impressive, this movie does a great job of capturing what it must have been like in ancient times.

Fun/ gross fact. Maggots are still used to this day in hospitals to clear dead flesh. You see them used most often in burn wards. They only eat dead stuff, so any healthy tissue they will leave alone.

Vince & Shoshana, Been a patreon for a few months and I've gotta say. You guys just continually put out some of the best reactions! The acting in this movie is phenomenal. Joaquin Phoenix plays Commodus in such a way that you hate him but at the same time feel sorry that he never felt loved by his father. Russell Crowe plays Maximus with such a reserved quiet ferocity that commands respect. Anyways just a bang up movie and reaction. Aloha!

I love how the Ceasar told Maximus he is the one who should rule because he is the one who doesnt want to rule but is capable and commands respect. Something we could learn from still today.

Another awesome reaction. If you enjoyed Russell Crowe in this another amazing film of his is Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. It's alot more under the radar than Gladiator. But, just as good.
