Do you guys ever watch Golden Age Classics like Hitchcock films? It’d be fun to see you watch some of his best thrillers like Rear Window or North by Northwest.

i second this. I love hitchcock films after i took college course on him and his impact on filmmaking. hehe

so just to clarify, since it seemed like you were getting confused during the prison break scene. the people with the turtle ship are the koreans (the good guys) in this film. and the people who were freeing the other prisoners are the other japanese soldiers (the bad guys). i think another way you can distinguish is that korean soldiers had mainly blue flags atop their ships while the japanese had red. and to put my opinion on this film, i thought this film was good. i actually watched it last night. lol. however, i didnt find it as enjoyable as The Admiral: Roaring Currents. I'm not sure why, maybe because i didnt feel as emotionally invested as i did with the other one. While I felt that the actor they got to play Yi Sun-shin did a wonderful job, i dont think he had the same gravitas to the character as Choi Minsik did as Yi-Sunshin. I think one thing this film does well is show the other stuff happening while this particular event took place. So we got to see more of the infantry side of things as well. I will say though, that its kinda hard to top Choi Minsik's performance as hes one of the best older actors in the Korean acting world so the other actor must have felt intense pressure. He still did a good job though. I cant wait to see you guys react to The Admiral: Roaring Currents. I'd love to see you guys compare the two films. Nevertheless, I still give Hansan: Rising Dragon a solid 8/10
