Really interesting non-spoiler that is so cool. When Arya is captured in the woods by that brotherhood, the leader is the man who Ned Stark (when sitting on the iron throne) sent out to capture the Mountain. Remember, Ned told him to "assemble 100 men and bring the King's justice to the Mountain". They rode out but did not kill the Mountain. During that time, Ned died and so did Robert. So this pack of 100 men had no "banner" to follow any longer and became their own "Brotherhood without Banners". That's the gist from the books, I believe. Enjoy!
