17:48 yup, I didn’t realize that was Bow Wow either until I was a bit older. A few years before Tokyo Drift, he starred in the 2003 movie Like Mike. The first time I actually heard of his name was through a song I grew up with called Shortie Like Mine.

One of my favorites in the series to be honest. Whenever I load up my, "Highschool Was Crazy, but It Wasn't THIS Crazy" playlist, Tokyo Drift always gets played right after Never Back Down lmao. Yeah my high school here in Texas had metal detectors also, but we had like 8000 students at the time. It was a pain in the ass to get to first period every morning lol.

Watching this as a kid I had no idea that the opening took place in a High School... Everyone looked like college kids, Sean was a 17-year-old who was played by a 23 year old Lucas Black. There's alot of people including myself who are in their early to mid 20s but can still pass as a teen, Black is just not one of these people or anyone else in this film. All 2000s films suffered from this. Spider-Man (2002) is a great example so it's just funny looking back at how 2000s films depicted teenagers as young adults basically. And 100% films have gotten much better at casing actually teenagers or young adults who actually look like teenagers, even during the 1980s teenage films were reasonably casted to find people who looked like Teenagers, The Breakfast Club being a great example.

When I hear about large public high schools with metal detectors I just think of the dystopian cyberpunk settings, massive mega schools filled with people within some megacity, Judge Dredd stuff. Our college was located beside a police station that was built like a prison/fort during the Troubles. So you couldn't see the police station as it was surrounded with walls, cameras, guards etc. This is the case for all police stations here tbh they look like bases rather than a station. Could only see inside the station from the top floor college windows but we couldn't open them for the safety of the officers as people could throw firebombs inside the police station. So I guess my school wasn't any better lol maybe we needed metal detectors tbh.

The movie Better Luck Tomorrow (2002), while not officially a part of the Fast universe, is actually the first appearance of the character Han. They share the same director, and he considers that Han's origin. It's a fun movie.

Great reaction guys. This franchise is its own little universe just like the MCU. This is the FFU. The first few films establish different characters backstories just like the MCU. I always loved the fact that the first few movies in particular feel completely different to each other. F1 was a more serious tone focused on a cops battle with morality whilst F2 was a more chilled Miami vibe with a more comedic element and F3 focused on an all new kind of racing (Drifting). Looking forward to Fast and Furious. Im sure you'll both love it.

I love this movie, I worked in a theater when it came out. I suggested/hyped it up so much to everyone that I sold a ticket for another movie to that the movie ended up being #1 at our theater the next two weekends lmao everyone thought it was gonna suck, but it bangs!!!

Loved this reaction guys. This one was actually my least favourite so far as well. But watching it along made me bump it from a 6.5 to a 7. And yeah DK reminds me of Tan from the 1st movie. Same vibe

I agree with you guys. Out of all 10 movies I rank this one 9th place . The next movie we get back to good storytelling . Yall won't be disappointed. And than it gets crazy after that . Fun ride ahead.

This movie unfortunately for the studio didn't do well at all when it came out & almost tanked the franchise but Vin returning allowed them to keep going. It has definitely gained alot more appreciation through the years! Just a heads up for "Fast Five" & "Furious 6" they both have post credit scenes so due stay tuned for those.

I loved this movie it’s not necessarily the main characters but if u appreciate it for what it is the rivalry within this and the realistic aspect makes it really good I had this out of ten 7.5 for sure

Love Tokyo Drift as a sort of spin off movie. Now it’s time to get back to the La Familia. The main story line of the fast franchise. No spoilers but get some tissues ready.

I have to admit this is one of the more badass endings to a movie in my opinion and I think they did it perfect but I would’ve loved if they had at least showed dom and Sean drifting just a little bit at least to close out the movie.

god dayum man i found this movie on my stepdads laptop when i was like 9 dude i had no idea it even existed as a film and it absolutly changed my world bro han meant so much to me as a kid and the red fucking evo bro so memorable and the scene with them on the mountains with the girl and sean man shit hit so diff and then the downtown scene the slow motion bro like the music during tht part the drift everything like drifting means so much to me and my homie my literal brother my dream is to own a drift 350z or r35 and have it anime decaled out jss like this movie man .... so glad to see yall react to these and bro luuuuul boww wowww foreal

This is my favorite one of these movies, even though it has nothing to do with the other movies. Seeing the Japanese car scene was a cool aspect to play into.
