ABOUT

This update is focused on trying to improve expressions realism. All the emotion states (in the Head screen) should work now a bit better and be more useful. There is also a big update for eyes, eyelids in particular, in this release. Eye movement is tricky to replicate procedurally, (shoutout to bethesda). I've been at it for a while, trying many things. In this version I ended up remaking the system from the ground up and also bypassing vam's own eyelid morph system which was causing me some problems. In v62 there's more movement to the eyelids and the eyes in general based on where the model is looking. There's also a few settings to customize things.

Awesome! Great work. Defiantly one of my favorite plugins. Sorry if this has been covered before.. Another of my most used plugins is AutoJuice by Awas. I can't seem to get it working properly with Alive. Once both plugins are enabled, the model starts rocking back and forth, almost like BJ animation. Anyone else experience this, and have any suggestion to fix?

I think AutoJuice is doing similar things, trying to control the body. You can try disabling Alive's body movement in Alive Settings: - Body vibration - Idle movement & Idle movement extra - Vision This should allow other plugins to do the body movement

Jep same here. My model also stops moving her head (gaze) when AutoJuice is loaded. Fix for this is to use a gaze-plugin. (EasyGaze). But yeah, I also experience this BJ-animation thing. Also, sometimes it seems, you can't open the mouth of the model by moving your VR-Fingers towards her mouth.

Multiple plugins can't apply animation on the same things at the same time. The way to combine multiple plugins that work in a similar way is to disable conflicting features on one of them. With Alive it's possible as mentioned above. The mouth automatically opens based on jaw touches, not object proximity to the mouth

I’ve been using VAM with pass through and would love to incorporate Alive but it seems to break the background color fix, any plans to make it compatible with pass through?

Vam's background color can be changed in Alive from Settings > Background Color. If passthrough is set to work with green screen for example, you just have to place there pure green (#00ff00)

key info, thanks. Yeah the passthrough with oobabooga chatbot is why I just subscribed. Going to try this out. Any chance this has animations like the c & g passthrough demo? Would be awesome if the animations responded to your movement in realtime and they just did what they wanted, but you can click little settings if you want to change their intention like in the demo. Edit: Feedback, I would incorporate more of the chatbot talking in these little trailers, it's so cool.

Of course, no problem. It is possible to trigger anything from vam via chat. If you say "trigger My Button Test", Alive will look for a button atom with the name "MyButtonTest" in the scene and will trigger it if it finds it (old video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aFm2TZ4ITE). So you could do something like a "Dance" button and when you say 'trigger dance' it should set that action, connect it to Timeline or anything else in vam. Character limit does not appear to be working when set to 300 for elevenlabs v2. It cuts of the bot's reply still, also getting a lot of mispellings even with spellcheck on. I am willing to beta test things if you need a helper. Sent PM

The issue is I think related to OB extensions you might have enabled. You don't need any extensions for TTS or STT, Alive does that on its own. Some OB extensions break things for the API, alter the AI response to include their html code that's meant for the OB frontend. I'm not sure what the spellcheck thing is. Is that an oobabooga extension? I don't recommend using any extension in the OB instance used with Alive. People make them for the frontend (using OB in the normal way, in the browser), they might not work with API and break things

Any model I add this to there's a strange issue where the hips can't bend in and the lower back always arches upward, so it looks awkward in certain positions. Is there a way to alleviate this?

turn off alive settings > vision > body follow vision & hands follow chest otherwise the body will be animated to follow vision (head gaze direction)
