One special new feature from Alive v51 that I haven't mentioned yet is a new system for more lively expressions. Thanks to the awesome morphs created by AshAuryn I added a new layer of micro expressions for: eyes, brows and mouth that aims to bring a bit more life to the character.

There's also a new blinking system. I removed the old one because it was just some random blinks. The old system did the job for a while but it was not that great and I couldn't build on top of it. Now blinking is connected to more components, to character behavior, and gets triggered in more realistic ways as can be seen for example at 0:25 in the video above where the character blinks when changing focus.

In Alive Settings there are also settings for these new components for people that want to customize them more to their liking.

Looks great, also love the fact you added "strength" sliders so that we can adjust the affect per atom since every model requires different amounts of morphs to get the desired effect. Out of curiousity, will this same new "emote system" hook into the atom personality system you showcased 2 days ago? As in, when we'd select for example; "shy" as a persona, it will adjust the morphs used in above said system? Or will that use seperate morphs from the "lively" morphs?

They're general settings, not atom specific, sorry. I'm not doing atom settings anymore because I don't think stuff like that fits gameplay. I don't think a lot of people enjoy juggling presets and scenes, I certainly never did. I'd rather do character settings. But vam doesn't have a character system so that's where the android system will come in play. Android characters will have preferences and be customizable. If you set the voice for character A to be voice1 for example, it will always be voice1 when you load that character, no save presets, no load presets in every scene, etc. To me that makes more sense than having players manually do game development and set up their scenes every time they change a scene or look. For the later questions, no. There's lots of pieces working together and those are separate. These new sliders might get removed at some point too. They might get replaced with a system that automatically balances these settings based on various cases. I'd rather have an automated system that does a lot than a DIY system that does one thing and is a bit more customizable.
