These are really fun seeing you pickup on all the foreshadowing and frames where some characters get shown like Elsa or the witch cult. I’d even be down for a Re:Watch. AOT and Re:Zero have one thing in common which is the incredible rewatchabily it’d be interesting to see how you feel about Subaru from after the fight with Emilia till the conversation with rem and the episode where Subaru says goodbye to his parents with context Hope “what you don’t know” from episode 23 will also be coming soon as well as the endings! Nooo without lyrics 😭 It doesn’t play over a scene you might got it confused with theater d or straight bet because they’re also myth & roid but they’d osts not openings or endings I think the hands actually represent Betelgeuses unseen hands since there’s many of them Stella’s hand usually only is represented as one hand I think on one occurrence maybe as two reaching out I think season 2 is just a lot to process while watching because while answering questions it raises 10 more at the same time and problems just keep piling up while in season 1 you have 3 very distinctive arcs with distinctive situations Subaru has to tackle Not gonna spoil any specifics but your wish with season 3 might be granted it starts a bit slow like season 2 but then it’s non stop till the very end I really understand your impatience haha but white fox the studio that’s making Re:Zero is on the smaller side and im glad they got to take their time this season and release a product they can be proud of and stand behind. Season 2 was quite plagued by staff shortage and a short production period where they had to draw scenes from home starting at episode 6 and split the season up in 2 parts. Realistically fall so half a year from anime Japan in March if we get an official announcement What you read was Anime Japan the biggest anime event where new seasons and other news get announced for anime. Re:Zero is on the Red stage again which is the biggest stage with most of the big the voice actors for the characters that play a role in arc 5. Last year that’s where season 3 and the teaser you watched got announced there so in 2 months hopefully we know when, the official announcement of the studio, the staff involved and how many parts it will be because supposedly it’s enough episodes for 3 cours so 3 11-13 parts for season 3 since it adapts arc 5 which is on the shorter side and arc 6 that’s only a bit shorter than arc 4 that also took up a whole 2 cour season with episodes stretched to 29 minutes So without opening and ending if we say 22 minutes is the norm 11 more minutes of content each episode To explain the long waiting times the studio didn’t expect it to be such a big success but also there was no content to adapt. Being a Re:Zero fan is suffering indeed. For this season white fox had to restructure itself first to take on such a big project end of 2022 they also moved to a new studio and been constantly hiring. The light novel is currently at arc 8 so after this season ends there’s enough material for at least another season so this time if season 3 is successful there should be nothing in the way from starting production sooner for a 4th season No worries loving this series almost enjoying it more than your initial reaction haha

Still of opinion that not watching even once opening when reacting to the show, makes you miss something special. Like season 2 first opening is so amazing to see before hitting a episode of Subaru getting eaten by bunnies.

Season 2 openings are what I call Schrodinger's spoilers. You never know how spoilerous the openings are even if you don't skip them in episodes, until people scream at you how many spoilers are there, as a result making it spoilerous themselves. I do very much enjoy re-watching stuff with context. If anything, I find the initial opening reactions without rewatching absolutely pointless, as you only get to appreciate visuals and music, but no context to fully appreciate it. If it was only one or the other I would very much rather only get openings reaction for after the show is finished than before. Rewatching your reactions to those openings instead of just raw openings again could be neat too. It would make it extra entertaining to have you comment on your original confused "sweet summer child" impressions on top of everything else.

White Fox is currently releasing an anime that has 30 more episodes so s3 is probably not gonna come out until after that one ends, unless it's by a different studio or something. The Re Zero endings are also really good.

Season 2 started with Rem fighting the 2 Sin Archbishops of Greed and Gluttony then everything in the sanctuary If I had to be 100% honest, I wouldn't mind rewatching RE:Zero for a second time with you ... Fun fact: Re:Zero ending 2 (the second ending song in season 1) is sung by Rie Takahashi (voice actor of Emilia/Megumin). Also, Rem's voice actor Inori Minase has sung an insert song (it played during episode 18 of Re:Zero in season 1 during Subaru and Rem's talk). The voice actors of both characters are actually veryyy talented at singing, you should check out both the insert song and ending full versions with lyrics (the lyrics are in tune with the anime) Also, it's almost certain that Season 3 will be released this year since the #1 most reliable leaker who has connections with the Re:Zero anime studio, has stated that production is going very smoothly and there has been 0 delays. He also stated that they started working on Season 3 before Season 2 even started airing. They are putting a lot of time and effort into Season 3. That season will cover arcs 5 and 6 which will most definitely break the internet and blow your expectations out of the water. (As a person who read the Re:Zero novels, arc 6 is peak fiction and it's gonna be insane to see it animated). Also, yes Luke, you're in Season 3 and I can't wait to see you. Forgot to mention, Season 3 will have 40ish episodes (super duper hype) For fellow novel readers: Luke is the chopsticks guy ;)

I'm frankly glad that White Fox was the studio that got this anime, they put a lot of love in their projects and take their time to make any anime. (I'm interested to know about working conditions there, even if they're not on KyoAni level)

I totally recommend watching Re Zero second time. Because you gonna get so many new information and understand everything that you didn't before. Re Zero just has such a good rewatching potential. I watched it 4 times and still manage to open some things that I didn't understand before. But I don't know if you should do it as a video reaction. I know that editing such long videos are hard for you so I don't know. lf you really want to though, maybe do it on stream? You wouldn't have to do a lot of work this way, so I think it's a good compromise

Yeah same! There’s a animation blog called sakuga blog there’s a few Re:Zero articles on there I know one staff member had to be hospitalized due to overworking and eye strain during season 2 but other than that I don’t really know about anything else in terms of working conditions positive or negative

I love watching reactions to shows I love, it's so fun to see people new to them react to the scenes I remember. And also to hear what theories they form throughout the series that I may or may not know if they're correct or not. I'm so glad you keep your Patreon at only $1 though, so many others charge up to like $20/month just to be up to date with their reactions and that's just not feasible to pay.

Tbh, I recommend watching Re:Zero again, there is SO MUCH YOU NOTICE on a second watch through! I still recommend Echidnut’s Re:Zero IF stories as well! I think you’ll love them! Also I did love watching your reaction and do the endings too!

yea nah, I presume they'll make arc 5 like 14ish episodes and the rest will trolly be arc 6. Also yeah the ep count was verified to be more than 24ish from Ice (the #1 reliable leaker). He said specifically "the episode count isn't 12 or 24, but it'll be enough to satisfy everyone" Which to cover arcs 5 and 6, 30ish episodes won't really satisfy either since arc 5 isn't super short and arc 6 is kinda long. 40ish seems to be that right number that'll satisfy us

Yes, I can gladly say that "you are that person" for me, if you know what I mean :D I love re zero and watching it again with you, seeing you excitement and all. It was heaven. And it's heaven again watching you revisit these Openings! It's also a lot of fun seeing you rewatch openings in general because now you're one of us watchers basically. You understand what we understand and that has it's own hype around it. Same logic comes to rewatching whole Animes. Pretty sure a ReZero rewatch would be very entertaining. Some parts I liked more after watching it because it's so deep and epic.

A lot of the people that worked on Re:Zero now work for Studio Bind (guys who do Mushoku Tensei). Studio White Fox also is pretty booked up and have an anime in the current season too. So with both of those things combined, I don't know if we'll get S3 anytime soon. Even if it was passed on to Studio Bind, they've been working on Mushoku Tensei, so that would still mean a delay in getting S3, and I don't know if I'd want a completely unrelated studio taking over. So I'm expecting maybe next Spring at the earliest for S3, unless they've created a separate studio / team just for Re:Zero, which would be too good to be true.

You should re-react to the endings as well. Also you should do a reaction to the full version of Ram's Theme/What You Don't Know and you should watch Gigguk's Re:Zero in 8 minutes. You did Gigguk's Attack on Titan in 9 minutes and you loved it.

I adore the Re:Zero openings and Endings but the amount some of them spoil is soooooooo.... UGH >.< Not including basic character showings, or stuff that'd spoils stuff that comes before: Paradisus Paradoxum: Betalgeuse is shown, as well as Crusch vs the White Whale. Realise: Shows Ryuzu clones and Elsa's return. Long Shot: Shows Emilia in ice, Elsa vs Garfield, Subaru with Beatrice in the burning mansion, The Great Rabbit vs Emilia, Subaru saving Emilia with Beatrice. Styx Helix: Shows the mabeast eyes. Huh, actually isn't as bad as I remember.

yeah, Long Shot is the only one I have a huge problem with. It's partly mitigated though because it isn't shown for the first time until over halfway through the second part of season 2. I do agree that revealing the Ryuzu clones and Elsa so obviously in the Realize opening was also a poor decision. Most everything else is out of context spoiler that will mean nothing to the vast majority of first-time viewers.

Because it's clear that Luke doesn't know what to make videos about anymore, he's already seen all the popular openings, and the others don't get as many views. He's trying to recreate the success of the reactions to popular openings, but it won't have much effect, so he'll please his old subscribers but not get new ones. He is no longer a "non-anime fan", he needs to move on to the next stage. And I'm not saying that he doesn't need to make a second reaction. I'm throwing out new ideas.

Japanese anime normally used to be created to the final episode. But next season of recent anime is often not created since anime became to be produced by production committee. I miss Rem and next season.

You should watch Re:Zero again if you want to. I'm currently watching it AGAIN (4th time) on another reaction channel (Teeaboo). You definitely get more out of it on subsequent watches - especially reaction watches as the reactor and commenters often provide insights you may otherwise miss.

Luke just be patient while waiting for any other season of any anime. Re:zero is at least in progres, there are many great animes that were not continued for various reasons. Also AoT has also 4 years gap between season 1 and 2. For rewatching shows that you already did reactions... I have a question > why would you do? What about exploring other than fantasy themes...

If I were to guess then I think re:zero will be either in October maybe even January next year. It’d be a big surprise if it does end up being July. From what I gather, for a studio like white fox, this franchise financially beneficial and important for them enough that they’ll almost complete production before it airs. There’s also tons of merchandise to get ready for it because this series, and more specifically Rem, is huge for that side of things.

I hoped that you would like the show and seeing that you genuinely did and the way you reacted to the more emotional moments brought it all back for me. You are definitely my favorite reactor for RE:Zero and pretty much all anime if I'm being honest. I didn't agree with you about some of the early season 2 "flashback" opinions, but you actually took the time to explain your reasoning and acknowledged why other people would like them. The fact that you do things like that and properly talk through your thought process is what elevates you above the others. That and you catch on to things that not a lot of other reactors do (even though sometimes you miss other details because of it, lol.) Anime can cause sensory overload though, especially when reacting, so I don't blame you. Seriously glad that I found your channel last year. Looking forward to more of your reactions!
