The best performance rider has ever had in any fate series, now that you finish with this i recommend you to watch fate grand order, for the great fight sequences and to know more lore from the gigachad gilgamesh.

I would highly recommend checking out some of the other Fate Spin Offs as well like: 1.) Fate/Grand Order (This need its own watch order entirely if you want to get into that ☠️) 2.) Fate/Strange Fake (Episode 0 came out last year and its actual anime is starting this year I believe) 3.) Fate/Apocrypha 4.) Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files (This takes place shortly after Fate/Zero with Waver as the Main Character! Its basically crime and investigation the anime but with magic) 5.) Kara No Kyoukai AKA The Garden Of Sinners (This takes place in the same universe as the Fate Series and also written by the same person who did Fate/Stay Night. The woman with red hair that you saw Sakura & Rin pass by in that alleyway is in it and as a major character. It would help you better understand her abilities for how Shirou came back with a new body.)

You should watch Lord El-Melloi and Fate/Apocrypha before starting to watch any other Fate.

There is a Fate universe series that released before Stay/Night and Zero called Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners. It is animated by Ufotable also and looks just like Fate's animation. The series is not about a Holy Grail war but it retains the magic system and the lore of the universe. Genre wise it is a Thriller/Murder mystery/philosophical/psychological/romance series of 9 movies ( two 2hr, six 1hr, and a 1.5hr) The 3rd and 7th movies are the only ones with nudity but I think it would work great as a Patreon anime after Code geass is over. It might not get as many votes since it is an older anime and less well known, but it is my personal favorite Anime and is very high quality like Fate HF was. I really hope you watch his amazing series at some point!

I started FGO with Babylonia, it was honestly fine. Start was a bit confusing, but it got better. We'll need to vote these series next Sunday during anime tournament. Haven't seen Garden of Sinners, but IIRC some people were saying it has some nudity, so not Twitch safe. Is this true?

2024-01-22 19:36:47 Regarding the Avenger, Angra Mainyu... (=the reason why the grail seems so dark and evil) you'd have to play Fate/hollow ataraxia. To really know the original story of Fate, you need the entire original trilogy (in that order): Fate/stay night (the 3 routes: fate, UBW and Heavens Feel), Fate/hollow ataraxia and then Fate/zero. The rest are alternative stuff created later, but that trilogy was the story planned by Nasu from the start.

Rider is reasonably strong with Sakura as her master. She was weak in fate and UBW because Shinji was technically her master, which nerfed her, kinda like Saber with Shirou.

I suggest watching either Kara no Kyoukai for better understanding of Fate universe or Fate Kaleid Liner for more Illya! Regarding the rest like FGO, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Extra - these really fall short of the standard set by the original series, imho.

For the record, there's also the old Fate/stay night TV series, which mainly adapted the first route of Fate/stay night (normally the introduction to the Fate world), with a kinda filler in the middle (like 5 or 6 episodes) inspired by a part the UBW route but made differently (it's essentially the battle with Caster, which normally died very quickly in the first route of F/sn so they extended). The first route was mainly about Saber, the same way UBW is Rin's route (and Archer), and HF is Sakura's route (and Ilya).

Hopefully, you eventually watch the other Fate series. There's stuff like Apocrypha, Grand Order, etc. If you just want more Shirou Emiya, there's the Oath Under Snow movie which shows a version that takes Heaven Feel's Shirou's rejection of heroism a step further.

Hey Luke! After watching this I'll definitely join for the tournament next but I just wanted to let you know about this movie since I don't think this will win the vote. Personally while rewatching the Heaven's Feel trilogy I would suggest to watch Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Vow in the Snow. That is a kind of prequel to the magical girl Illya series with another badass Shiro. I felt really bad after Illya's death in Heaven's Feel so I went to watch more of that. I think this would be best to watch after heaven's feel.

Iirc when ubw was airing and when he barely had screen time in ubw, he was voted as the favorite character of the series. Tbh I prefer fate/zero over ubw since I think the characters are just too good. Each servant and each master are great

I do get where you're coming from. But if Luke has the knowledge that this is a parallel world, he should be able to get most of what's going on for the movie alone. At least I believe he can.

Would love to see you react to some more Fate Luke! You're clearly loving it! Judging by chat a lot of people want to see you watch the cooking spinoff 😂Other ones you could check out next could be the 2006 Stay Night (This mostly covers the other Route you haven't seen), Prisma Illya (A series dedicated to Illya in an alternate reality, this includes a lot more "slice of life" style but mixes in the good old fashioned fate formula too), or Lord El Melloi case files (This follows Rider's master from Fate/Zero and details what happened to him after the war). These all have familiar characters and settings to you so won't be a leap into the unknown with a lot of new things to learn

haha you think so? 😂 Obviously there's the sus scenes, but they're no worse than HF II and most of it is for comedic value anyway. I feel like he'd enjoy the more slice of life take and the comedy too, plus he clearly loves Illya, so i don't see why not. Sus scenes aside Prisma Illya goes hard, its underrated cuz its about magical girls at its core. Besides it all returns to the normal Fate feeling by Season 3 and Oath Under Snow

If you ever have the chance (on your own time of course, not as a reaction), I think these movies are honestly even better on a rewatch, just because of how dense they are. There's so many more things you'll pick up on and it all flows together so well.

Yea, I have a few things to say but keep in mind I haven't watched Kaleid and have a rough idea about what goes on. Personally, I thought there weren't any major spoilers just tiny references to the show which makes sense and give intrigue and I thought that would be good start for someone new.
