Tsukihime is a visual novel work created by Nasu Kinoko (Type-Moon) same by Fate. It is supposed to be in the same universe as Fate series as some characters appeared in Fate. And the one you've watched is an OP remake of the same game. It has an anime adaptation (an old one) and many fans still hoping for the anime remake too.

This is actually the remake version of a Visual Novel (game) animated by Ufotable. Tsukihime takes place in the same universe of Fate and is of course by the same author.

Tsukihime reminds you of Fate because it's a game in the same universe, the first one in the same universe even. the openings you watched are for the remake of the game. The game is a 10/10 btw, it's also a visual Novel, just like Fate/stay night and Steins;gate

The lyrics from this season of mushoku tensei kinda fit for rudy's past self (before he died) and how he is now, in a way it talks about changing as a person while overcoming different obstacles. Just look up longman spiral on youtube, you will see the resemblance of rudy's past self immediately !

I might be wrong but i dont think the Remake is an actual anime? I remember loving the original Tsukihime anime, but i dont recall there's a Remake anime, yet? My guess is the songs you checked out are from the visual novel? Not sure. The source material for Tsukihime and Fate is by the same entity, UFOTable is one of the animator of part of Fate's stories (Zero, UBW, HF). Would definitely love to have Tsukihime remade by UFOTable. :D

When I watch the OP of Mushoku Tensei, I am concerned about the birds and feathers. Red, Blue and Green. In the End, the green bird changes to white while flying and Rudy is reacting particularly to the same bird.

I Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Tsukihime remakeisn't an anime, it's a Visual Novel developed by TYPE-MOON, the same one who made the Fate/Stay Night series (hence the similarities), and yes, the animation were done by Ufotable. The remake itself is stuck behind PS4 and Nintendo Switch jail, so you can't play it on PC, but you can play the original Tsukihime VN on PC. If there is a god in this world, I would beg them to make Ufotable do an anime of this remake.

Ufotable is known for their dazzling animations. Why I like the art style of Demon Slayer.

The Tsukihime remake is actually a visual novel and is excellent. Some day Ufotable probably would make an actual anime adaptation tho. Also on a side note there is an older anime for Tsukihime that even tho ain’t a great adaptation of the visual novel it has a good solid opening that I think is worth checking out as well. Lunar Legend Tsukihime is the name of the old Tsukihime anime to find the opening.

Tsukihime is an absolute 10/10, one of the CLASSIC and ORIGINAL visual novels that helped kick-start Fate into existence!

I truly believe we will get Tsukihime Remake anime at some point maybe even news about it next year. You should do the old anime opening for Tsukihime too, it's very good too. Although that first anime wasn't really too well done for Tsukihime story

If you get a chance, it'd be worth watching the regular mv for the mushoku tensei song. It has ccs and it's a beautiful video.

Tsukihimi (or Moon Princess) is a visual novel set in the Nasuverse, the same setting as Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night, but follows very different characters and events. And yes the trailer/game intro's are animated by the same studio, Ufotable, as well

I'm with you, when I first heard this song while watching the show, when Rudy was depressed, it stuck in my head for 2 weeks, I don't know what it's about, but when I hear it I feel sad and hopeful at the same time. It's like the OP from oshi no ko with the context it hits harder

Those two videos are for each route of tsukihime remake(visual novel). Just like fate stay night, tsukihime has different routes. And tsu-key(to open a door)-he(he/she)-meh is how to read the title. I suppose in most of Japanese/Korean written in English, (consonant + i) can be pronunced as short version of 'ee' sound.

You are correct all were from the new Visual Novel game of Tsukihime, which I understood did really well. So I have high expectations that will lead to actual remake of Tsukihime anime.

In my opinion, the fact that Rudy and Sylphie go around like this is also good for their relationship, so that it doesn't become a simple reunion of childhood friends, this time spent together allows them to show themselves from a different side, to start from scratch, and allows them to grow in their feelings for each other. Of course, Rudy now doubts his orientation, but this is the comedic part that I really like 😂

The original Tsukihime is a visual novel from the year 2000 and you can actually read it in english on a web browser holofield.fr/tsukiweb. It has an old anime that its not the best adaptation but since you seem to enjoy Type Moon works I would recommend Garden of Sinners movies.

Tsukihime is the same "universe" as Fate, but you could call it a different timeline of that universe enough so that its not really Fate anymore but most of the same concepts are still there. On that note you should watch Garden of Sinners sometime on Patreon. It's also a Fate "parallel" and the main character there shares some powers with the Tsukihime one. It would have to be Patreon though because there is some nudity.

As most have already mentioned, Tsukihime remake is a remake of the visual novel game. They did announce that the remake is getting an official English port on Switch in early 2024 so you could play it if you wanted to.

To pronounce tsukihime is tsu-ki-hime with hime being the Japanese word for princess and produced as such. Might be wrong with this bit if spelled as sound be hemay I believe.

The birds represent Roxy (blue), Eris (Red) and Sylphy (Green turning to White). The 3 most important love interests in Rudy's life. Also I believe the girl in white is supposed to represent the combination of Red/Blue/Green = White - i.e the combination of Roxy, Eris and Sylphy being the ideal partner for Rudy.

It is significantly different. The main part of the first series was the adventuring arc where Rudy & Eris journey to get home. The current school arc is far more settled, concentrating on the various characters, and in particular on the Rudy & Fitz/Sylphy interaction.

Tsukihime one is a remake of a Visual Novel (A type of game) Not an anime (At least not yet) It came out in 2000 and takes place in the same universe as the Fate series (Tsukihime actually came out before Fate and established a lot of the worldbuilding and magic system.) A Novel series set in the same universe that also has an anime adaptation called Kara No Kyouka (Or Garden of Sinners) Was also released around the same time. That along with Fate, Notes, and Witch On a Holy Night are part of the same bigger world known as the Nasuverse or Type Moon depending on who you ask.

Tsukihime (Moon Princess) is a very old anime. Not well done. This op is for the remake of the visual novel, unfortunately not an anime. It's is a very good story though, and is in the same universe as fate.

It's pronounced as Su-key-he-may (Tsukihime). Tsuki means moon and hime means princess. So together it means 'Moon Princess.' This anime is based on the visual novel (game) made by Type Moon, a Japanese game company which is also responsible for making the original Fate series visual novels. You will notice some of the characters in this anime look oddly similar to some of the characters from the Fate series. It's not a coincidence. Fate visual novel characters are made by the company and draw inspiration from Tsukihime's characters. I watched this anime a long time ago. I actually don't remember what happens in the anime but I do remember it had a lot of thriller scenes and it was somewhat good. According to my myanimelist rating, it's 7/10 which I rated a long time ago.

So I'd like to clarify that the girl in the opening song is definitely Sylphie. I see some people mistake her for Eris, due to the setting of the scene. But thats very much intentional. Allow me to explain: The opening starts with opening the tent (same place Rudeus & Eris first slept together). On the bed is a white haired girl. As Rudeus grabs this white hair girls hand, it turns into red rose petals and Rudeus wakes up. This symbolizes his lingering trauma with intimacy, left by Eris. We then see a scene of the white haired girl transforming into a white bird. That's important. Why would Eris transform into a white bird, if that was her? Later on we see both a Red bird and a Blue bird (one symbolizing Eris. The other Roxy). We then see a green bird fly past Rudeus in school, and then fly through both Luke & Ariel, transforming once again into a White bird. The same white bird that the girl with white hair turned into. This symbolizes Sylphie transforming into Fitz, her new persona/character. Finally we see Rudeus, carrying a green feather, leave the same tent as the one at the start of the opening. This symbolizes Rudeus overcoming his trauma left by Eris (his ED) as he reaches up towards the white bird (Sylphie).
