Pretty sure Sukuna pact was he cant harm anyone while he switch so even if he switched he would just have to run away or something.. and we know.. Sukuna is not running away :D and Sukuna is still not in danger even if Itadori die.. he said there are still other fingers where he ''could'' manifest or something.. i think

TSunsett

One of the only problems I had with this episode was Choso's final line, in the manga he says "What the hell is this? Why are you there..?" I don't know if it was ever explained but the way it was shown in both anime and manga was that Yuji didn't do anything, this is something that happened inside Choso, Sukuna wasn't part of it.

Austin Sorenson

Yes, the girls at the end are Geto's girls

Some0neElse

tbh im starting to think its Itadori's cursed technique or something... Same thing happened with Todo and Junpei but i though its just comedy thing with Todo Please dont confirm or deny this statement if you know for sure. I dont want to unintentionally spoil it for me or anyone else watching it for the first time

TheMagicSeal

I think you were too angry to notice the lead they gave in the memories.

LuciusArtoriusCastus

I won’t spoil it for u but I should let u know that the answer is not in the anime or manga so u will never know. It is something Gege talked about in an interview.

Sebastian

my guess is that's Yuji's technique idk tho

LuciusArtoriusCastus

If you pay attention to the dialogue in the memories of choso, it’s pretty easy to tell what’s being implied

MasterMaster

I loved this episode. The end scene was masterfully done.

Bersain Balbuena

I'll just say one thing, remember when Todo was about to beat Juji and he suddenly started having memories of him and Juji being his best friend?

Jason

That's what I meant by choso is stronger 🔥 🔥

The thing with Choso is quite cool tbh. The real explanation for what it is though is a bit of a spoiler. But I can say that Sukuna nor Itadori had anything to do with it. It's not Itadori's technique as some people theorised. As for what it was I'll explain now, SPOILER WARNING! Once again, SPOILER WARNING! (Cause it seems like I accidentally spoiled it for one guy who didn't see the warning in all caps. sorry) So Choso, as a death painting (those little jar creatures), he can sense when his brothers die. i.e. what happened with Eso and Kechizu. So when he almost killed Itadori he got that sense. Recognising Itadori as one of his brothers. Which he is, since the creator of the death paintings, Noritoshi Kamo (Kenjaku) also gave birth to Itadori, yes literally. He was Itadori's mother. So Choso just found out Itadori was his brother and no longer wants to kill him. Which is great cause Choso is a brilliant character with my favourite technique.

Jason Frasier

Bad news friend. That ending is not explained for a while. Still lots left of this season though. Buckle up.

Juho Kaartoaho

I have not read on the Jujutsu kaisen and this might be totally pulling out of my ass but that memory flash made me think that in a way it's not too unsimilar to what Todo experienced and became his brotha. Maby Todo was also effected by this weird power back then.

Sebastian Stróż

Man I really love how they went full HxH with this season...

Anonymous

Back in season 1, Megumi said Yuji would beat all the STUDENTS in a fist fight (including Todo, not Gojo), specifically without cursed energy to enhance blows and defense. Choso here as a special grade still has tons of cursed energy for enhancing his body, and he’s still able to use his technique on blood inside his body to “dope” as Megumi said when he was fighting Kamo by changing the property of his blood. So just because it’s a fistfight doesn’t put it in the category of “Yuji would beat everyone” that you are thinking of.

Sai

These people at the start are NOT having a good day. It was a scene from hell down there. The animators also dying animating a whole ep of combat.

Nate Ming

HOLY SHIT THAT RAID 2 REFERENCE

Nate Ming

AND THE INSTRUMENTAL VERSION OF "REMEMBER" FROM S1

Anonymous

CHOOOOSOOOOOO <3 <3 <3 so happy he got an entire episode, he is my fav character <3

Kytsunix

As a manga reader, I’ll say that you’re not the first to come up with that theory

Pinoux

To answer some of your questions: Eso and Kechizu were special grades and there are nine of them (the cursed wombs if you remember, their mother was impregnated and then avorted nine times by kamo noritoshi, the greatest villian sorcerer - it's from the last episode of s1 ;)). All of them are special grades technically.

Matthew Valentine

One of the best looking episodes of the series so far! WE EATING THE REST OF THIS ARC IF THEY KEEP UP THIS QUALITY

Austin Deery

It was made to be a funny reference to that, whether it is the same thing or not you'll find out in the rest of this season

Austin Deery

Shibuya best new gen arc, it's been said to be since it came out in the manga. Everything that's happen up until now is just the warm up the rest of this season will go even crazier.

Cédric Michaud

Did I just hear Doki Doki Literature Club? Because I would love to watch you playing to this game too. Also this non-existent memory at the end was such an interesting new mystery added to the multiple mysteries already in this anime.

Cédric Michaud

So Yuji would be one of these S tier artifacts too? That would be crazy, but I'm not sure I can believe this now. Let's wait and see.

LuciusArtoriusCastus

I can’t tell you anything else without spoiling, all I can say is you will be surprised, but I don’t think we will get much information on this topic this season if I remember correctly

Cédric Michaud

He will probably run to every finger and eat them, that would be the only thing he could make that wouln't harm anyone. Also we don't know what happens if all the fingers are eaten by Yuji Itadori but I would guess that Sukuna takes over the body with all the fingers.

Cédric Michaud

4:17 Yes! There was a guy named Kamo (from the Kamo family that is one of the three major families of sorcerers (Gojou (the family of our boy Gojou), Kamo (that guy I mentioned, plus one other guy that made some mad scientific experiment back then) and Zenin (Maki, Mei and Toji, plus the old man with Maki right now who does nothing)))

Vick Ramos

they were memories that don’t exist they said it too 😭

malkuuusha

This “non-existent” memory of Choso will be explained only at the very end of this arc. Somewhat of a spoiler down below. But the thing we’ve seen here is that Choso could physically feel that Yuji is dying and he can only feel it with those who are blood related to him like his brothers (at the end of season 1 we’ve seen how Choso knew his brothers died even though he wasn’t there with them). And also his blood being in contact with Yuji’s created this memory in his head

Anonymous

Daniel, if you actually look at the comments you’ll see a lot of people don’t know. So for people curious and not minding spoilers I explain it. And even put a spoiler warning to let the people who don’t want to know be able to avoid spoilers. People who are invested in a series like to share information about topics they find interesting about it, answer questions, theorise etc. This isn't a new concept and is all I was doing

nicolassngf

He clearly put a spoiler warning, those how where curious and check the rest of the comment can't blame anyone but themselves for get spoiled

Trowa

Pretty sure Sakuna said he would only add the no damage/hurting people if Yuji won against him. If he (Sakuna) won (which he did) then its back to his original proposal which had no such thing added to protect anyone.

Eric

Is frieren not going be Thursday? i know he said it would be random when he uploads.

Trowa

You could just not post the spoiler as requested? Because these comments dont have a spoiler tag simply scrolling too fast can have someone missing your warning.

malkuuusha

But Choso really is (you know what). So I’m not sure that he was “made to believe” that. Quite a strange coincidence for that (by “that” I mean supposedly Itadori’s powers) to be true. I don’t think the thing with Todo has anything to do with what happened here with Choso. Todo is just a quirky dude who exaggerating too much. And the memories of Choso were created by his blood being in contact with Yuji’s blood and by the feelings Choso felt while Yuji was dying. I think it makes much more sense. Choso wasn’t “made to believe” that he did what he did, he ACTUALLY did it

Frentzy

The ending of this episode is like a ruined orgasm. It is what it is, I'd say what it matter is the journey not the destination. In this case, the fight that was for like 17m was more than enough even tho the ending made no sense (even if it might make sense next episode, as for now make no sense) I am still satisfied. EDIT: CHOSO was one of the three that kept gojo at bay, so he is more stronger than we gave credit.

Abiyah

Respectfully, I think it's best to not tell the viewer these things because they ARE spoilers. Allow the viewer to experience the ride of emotions as they are presented naturally in the show/manga. I'm pretty sure Luke would only want an explanation if the source material does a bad job explaining it.

Toasterfinal5

Not a manga reader. I tend to forget the names of half of the characters. Yet, I still enjoy watching this anime. I will definitely rewatch this because it’s so good to me.

Captain Warcrime

Cliffhanger wise, you are not much better off if you were reading the manga instead right now. Gege Akutami just loves to permanently edge the fans.

Mychael Dark

Sounds like a personal issue then. Considering you have to slick to expand text to get the warning, they only have their own stupidity to blame.

Dethrox

No :D he said if Yuji win he ressurrect them with no pact, he didn't so the pact is active and I'm 99% positive with no harm to others additional condition :D and yes it is only for a minute

LuciusArtoriusCastus

He didn’t really keep gojo at bay, but his combo with mahito massacring a bunch of people did make gojo open his domain

LuciusArtoriusCastus

This is unrelated, you can tell by the purposeful shift in animation style and the hints given through choso manipulating yujis blood at the end and the dialogue in the memories. Todos was nothing but a fictitious gag, chosos memories were very purposeful implied by the little details

Vinegar

There is a lot about Choso that you should try to disregard for now, he's a very spoiler heavy character and information about him will be given slowly

malkuuusha

True. He is such a great character and such a shame he will appear again only at the end of this arc

Samir Larras

I'd take a narrator over characters standing around and giving us a play by play anyday.

Ultraporing

I got no clue but here is my speculation: If you noticed Scunas Eyes, it got rings in that scene. Then he complains, and opens them again. Then It cuts shortly to the puddle of blood with rings in it too. I'm guessing Scuna used some memory manipulation to insert Yuji into a fictional memory of the dude, where he is one of his loved brothers. Saving Yujis ass.

Frentzy

Look my point is this. If you fight an enemy that you know 100% can kill you. Would you still fight it? most people won't. There are those who are CONFIDENT enough that worse case scenario they can flee from that certain enemy. Which means AT MINIMUM you should have confidence in your fleeing skills. That dude stood near gojo with the other two. he's a range user anyway. It would be weird to go head to head with gojo. So in theory none of them 3 kept gojo at bay. All they did was run around and buy time. even if he was the weakest of them three, I'd say overall most people would assume yuji would win. In my case was a 50/50 from the start.

Tom Horne

Luke, sometimes you just have to wait for answers in a show. They aren't always given seconds after an event occurs and sometimes you are too impatient with questioning what it is (as it might just be answered later in the episode). Also, Sukuna's name isn't pronounced as "scuna", its pronounced "soo-koo-nah". I know you listen to characters and how they pronounce names, but when it comes to japanese and romaji, its a little different. They are still saying "soo-koo-nah", the first part is usually just very fast and subtle due to the nature of their language. It's the same with them mixing up words which contain L and R, its just something you get used to for anime and japanese shows / movies. A good example would be like how english people pronounce "bo-ule" for the word bottle (and yes, I'm english), or even "woh-tah) for water. It's just pronunciation Either way, still a good reaction. Loved the animation and it was such a great fight. Don't worry, you will get answers soon

Dinh Duy Nguyen

I think it is pronounced “scuna”, like sasuke is pronounced saske, they don’t speak the ‘u’ fast, it’s silence like the ‘h’ in france, they say ‘umor’ instead of ‘humor’

Tom Horne

Except for the fact that it's just not though. It's pronounced as I said "soo-koo-nah". His name is spelled スクナ. ス is equivalent to す or "su". Like I said previously, its purely just dialect in which its pronounced which makes it sound like the "u" is not being said. In relation to sasuke, it's pretty much the same thing. His name sounds like "sass-keh", but due to how the letter s sounds, it basically makes the "u" sound but you are saying it fast enough to not hear it clearly. Try saying "sass-keh" slowly and you will hear the "u" slightly after the end of the s. And here is an example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbjeVZ_U4ns

TOMfoolery

Even without using his techniques, Gojo would not loose to Yuji in a fist fight. Current Yuji has been compared to Nanami which is already a big deal, but Gojo's raw cursed energy output is just way too damn high for him to loose to Yuji in a 1v1 of any kind.

LuciusArtoriusCastus

Yea a lot of people underestimate Gojo’s capabilities without his CT, which I guess kinda answers Geto’s question. I also noticed this guy hypes Yuji up way too much, I love yuji but he is not the powerhouse that G.O.T thinks he is. But if we’re talking no CE allowed at all, not even to reinforce your body, I think Yuji packs up the cast except for the two zenins, which I think is what Megumi meant, I don’t think he meant no CT

LuciusArtoriusCastus

I would like to remind you as it’s been pointed out before that Sukuna does not gaf about yuji and would rather die and lose a few fingers than help yuji. We see him close his eyes in disappointment then open them and he says “huh?” Indicating that even Sukuna was surprised that Choso didn’t kill him, this is a small detail that a lot of people overlook but it answers a couple questions, the main one being that Sukuna did not help yuji at all and was prepared to die alongside yuji. Now without spoiling, I urge you to look at the details a little bit harder. First notice Yujis blood and what happens when it mixes with Chosos, then if you remember what happens in s1 when chosos brothers died, choso knew they were dying even before fake geto did because of their blood bond or whatever, then notice the dialogue in the memories.

TOMfoolery

yeah because he's already stronger than the average human without reinforcing his body with CE. Plus he's a pretty good close combat fighter with decently high battle IQ.

Crunchy Potato

Gotta say, JJK is the first anime I've seen that made blood manipulation actually interesting. Some just go with "make-blood-into-a-weapon" and never expand beyond it. This? This is really cool. (Haven't gotten into the blood-bending part of Avatar yet)

cant believe luke really said yuji cant lose a 1v1 and that he's even better than gojo in them, dude got a reality check real quick
