James Perrott

Now that youre done with the anime, once you’ve listened to the openings and endings, i SERIOUSLY cannot reccomend enough to listen to the entire soundtrack of this show, especialy for season 2, some songs didnt play at ALL, and many of them the best parts arent used, its criminal, i dont understand why at all but i think it would make for 3 amazing streams in the future, just listening to season 1s ost, then the movie ost, and then season 2s ost all 3 are absolute masterpieces and every single song in them deserves attention IMO, id absolutely watch reactions to all of it, and you wouldnt be dissapointed it would just take far too long to react to the soundtrack 1 at a time for youtube videos, but you could upload clips of your favourites

stevmaster11

Our Boy Kevin did it again with the OST in MIA, binged it when part 3 got released, so good.

Lex

Kaja's true body was the smell. he could change vesseles, and faputa carried the entire season2, nanachi used to be the fan favorite for so many years, until faputa showed up. The existence of s2 is to bring out the other major character which is faputa, this method is widely used in most of the anime, sometimes you cut out the main path a bit to sellect new allies than back to business.

Barbietube

now that it's over for the next decade, i really recommend watching some of the OSTS they're so good and we know that, my fav have to be Dark reg nightmare fuel(reg berserk scene from the movie) and SAN-KEN(plays during Faputa's speech)

Acubens

man, i did not want to watch vuekos death a second time, she deserved better

Soulseller33

Iam happy that you enjoyed the show the same most of us did. And like some already said, consider reacting to the OST's they are absolutly masterpieces. Season 3 is still a long wait unfortunatly, since there is not much source material to go on in the moment. See you with Mushoku Tensai, the second anime i would consider easily one of the best out there, story /character wise. See i watch anime for over 15 years now, and those 2 are the ONLY ones that EVER compelled me to read the light novel/manga to get the rest of the story. (btw Mushoku Tensai is completly finished with the story) And i watched pretty much everything out there.

Suichoku

Faputa is basically like an animal, so I guess it is same as with some animals for example dogs sniffing each others butts (her saying her scent is good). It might be also to add some humour and author is really weird, but the things often have some purpose or at least explanation.. they might be weird and totally unnecessary, but I wouldn't say they are forced. Some of the things are there to give the show a primal and raw feeling and atmosphere, it is a totally different world than the world we live in.

Animeter

Maybe faputa ia part of the team now... We will see in Season 3

mjaomjao2

Makijaas main body is made out of smells, the outer form he has is just a mechanical doll he controls to be able to interact with other people.

Vincenzo

100%. She was my favorite character of the show. When she died, I cried fountains of tears.

Hakimchi

MAN i cant wait for S3

Thomas Juino

I know it's a bit messy around the end, but I'll tell you since season 3 won't be coming out for a long time : Faputa will be going with them !!!!!

Thomas Juino

sadly season 3 won't be coming out, because the manga have only a few chapter following the end of season 2 and so there not enough material to adapt the next arc...

DeliveryBoy

Hopefully the comments won't be too harsh due to your opinion on s2, since it is preference. S2 was focused way more on presenting deeper characters that grew up deep in the abyss, on the details of the location and monsters and on telling a way more concrete story, whereas S1 was focused more on the basic premise and the sudden shifts in the world when we switch layers. I can totally see both perspectives in choosing a favourite. (for me it was S2 also due to the fact that the OST here is my favourite in any anime and Faputa's VA showed one of the best voice acting performances in all of anime IMO)

Tomáš Votruba

In your assessment of the show you always go over Season 1 and Season 2. Where does the movie stand though? How would you rate it against Season 2?

Keith Merrington

I liked season 1 better too, but season 2 had a very strong ending. I agree that the first 6 episodes were too slow and confusing and brought S2 down a bit, but the end sure made up for it. Some specific points... Faputa noticed that Nanachi smelled good and that Reg was now with Nanachi and not looking for Faputa (because he'd lost his memory - but Faputa didn't know that then). So Faputa was just remarking that she smelled good too. She used her butt to scent mark things, so it was natural for her to think it smelled good. Makes perfect sense and is not weird in any way (at least no weirder than the rest of the show). Majikaja was a holo whose form was gaseous, so he needed a vehicle to interact with others. That's why his 'body' appeared to be mechanical and why he was able to swap to a bigger version when required. He didn't possess Faputa, but fed his holo body to her which fed and revived her (it fed his value to her). Faputa didn't commit to going with the other 3 at the end, but strongly implied that she would do so ("Faputa will think about it, sosu").

Keith Merrington

Looking forward to MT. As a story it's easier to follow than MIA even though S1 of MT is only a small part of the overall story and its world (which gets quite complex).

I personally have this show at my #2 of all time right behind Evangelion. Absolute masterclass in storytelling and world building. The manga only goes on for 1 1/2 chapters after this so what I’m about to say IS NOT a spoiler rather just my head-cannon. We’ll see both the giraffe and the crimson snake thing again in season 3. In season 1 we never explicitly saw the crimson snake die we just saw it fall from layer 3 and pass through some clouds, there’s a chance it’s still alive and was unable to go back up from layer 4. And the giraffe had that whole unnecessary scene of it killing its other and walking into the darkness. My guess is that they’ll serve some kind of big purpose such as targeting the main squad and possibly killing someone important. Other than that all we know about layer 7 is what Ozen said about that white ring of light, and we know the ending will probably be disappointing, or will be feigned disappointment that the trio must overcome likely as their final challenge. I’m very interested in seeing where this story goes!

Ohms

Ok so here is my final Ohm's Reaction to Made in Abyss S2 Well, this episode was intense. Not only explaining the meeting and Naming of Faputa and the robot (Gaburuun?), but also the whole value system as noted by the symbolism shown earlier in the show. Additionally, the questions and curiosities that showed up with Faputa's first encounter with the travelers, and Riko's soul especially, really got me to thinking, with the resulting speculations coming later. Faputa's power and intensity has definitely heightened when facing off against these enemies. She's actively healing, passively retaliating against opponents (the biting monster burned its teeth!) and clearly much much stronger. It also sounds like her mission is clear: Returning the value that the villagers stole and converting it into a way that would finally put her mother to rest. Majikaja doing the work by shifting into and even larger body and carrying everyone! Then they went to see Wazukyuan, who clearly was on the verge of death, having expended basically all his energy. His final words were cryptic, and his death without the closure of his acknowledgement of how he manipulated things to be the way they are. Vueko's ascent and sudden transformation was... distressing. She didn't deserve to die so tortuously, and her friends appearance to save her life made it worse. All in all, the fact the villagers willingly sacrificed themselves to her was... touching, in a way. And with their value/power combined, she could finally achieve her desired dream to save her mother. Majikaja's possession of her body was... weird but considering he's been controlling inanimate objects this whole time its not surprising. It also sounds like he in the process fed himself to Faputa. And Maa disappeared soon after, the final transformed villager to disappear. So now they're all potentially a team descending together in the future. And with the fighting power they have between Reg and Faputa, they should be able to survive the horrors that exist further down, I would think. ~Final Speculation~ Faputa's comment on Riko's soul got me thinking: The item that preserved and animated her body... given how things seem to work the further down you go in the abyss, it might be that that same value system is key to almost every working relic down there. If so, it was probably due to the nature of how much Riko's mother wanted her, and how she struggled to bring the relic all the way up with her inside, that it basically brought forth a soul from the abyss itself. Because otherwise it would be difficult to distinguish her from the animated meat that Ozen experimented with, as she is not undead in any sense of the word otherwise. All in all, this show is one trip of an adventure! I look forward to Season 3 and watching it with you all!

Raok Verad

faputa join them don't worry

Shiwa chan

Logically speaking Faputa must join their party . Why would you spend an entire season telling a characters story only to not include them later on. She said she considers it and her "see you later "saying at the end got to mean something .

Frentzy

weakest of them all, No hate to the movie. They forced prushka death on our throat. I know someone had to die to get to level 6 but let's be honest, even the original crew 150y ago, had a hollow in there randomly placed and they descended. So no one had to die.

Frentzy

majikaja did not control her body. When she eat someone she become that person, so she acted like majikaja and went crazy, that's why reg laughed.

Thomas M

Poor young lad born too late to enjoy a culture where dick and fart jokes can be laughed at by anyone.

BRUNO Marques

Faputa will go with them eventualy, she's just shy, and an amazing addition for reasons, haha. Maybe the reason why S2 seems like a detour from the main story is because it omits some extra bits from the manga side stories. Also you seemed to miss a lot of foreshadowing and got the completely wrong idea about where the show was going. Probably because watching 2 eps a week didn't help you remember key moments. The village is referenced a couple times in s1, Riko not really caring about finding her mother and would continue her journey regardless in the movie. That her mother is in the 7th not 6th layer, and many others. Finding out what "city" was in the 6th layer was always the plan haha. It's also not the real golden city but provides some interesting clues.

James Perrott

Stev ive been listening to all 3 soundtracks all the time to this day lol, personal favourite is the movies OST

James Perrott

Nanachi is still a far better, and far cuter character than Faputa faputa will need time to develop more and become more normal... shes a bit overly clingy to reg, hopefully she stays more calm now, and hopefully isnt immortal anymore

James Perrott

theres honestly just too many to reccomend from all 3 soundtracks, hes gotta stream reactions to the full OST

BRUNO Marques

There are 6 chapters after this (including side stories, which will likely be ep 1 of S3). The Gigachad side story is essential to the plot. There about 4 ish eps worth of chapters, and 1 more chapter should be coming out soon to finish vol 12.

Silvio Guidi

did anyone understand what happened to maaa? after 2 full s2 watch, i still cant figure out

James Perrott

Majikaja underrated character, hes so likable and funny and helped everyone out so many times, including saving rikos life i just wish we got to see who he was as a human in the flashbacks, we got no backstory for him sadly and yeah his "body" is just gas, and he went into faputa to control her and protect everyone trying to escape, he was also the happiest hes ever been cause he finally got a real body instead of a vessel, he died by dissapearing while inside her, so he went out happy

James Perrott

I agree that the first half of season 2 wasnt amazing, but still enjoyed a lot of it. Season 2 is the weakest overall to me, but by no means bad. From the poison scene in season 1, until the end of the movie, is the best of the best for Made in Abyss to me, absolute 10/10 masterpiece, it was gonna be insanely hard to top that

James Perrott

Faputa obviously implied she is going to join Reg, she is just going to do her own thing for a bit it seems, then she will come and adventure with the main group she isnt just gonna go off and leave for good

James Perrott

Vueko really had the most tragic life from start to finish man she didnt deserve this

Animeter

I actually didn't think season 2 was totally different. For me it was basically the same show. The golden city was mentioned in season 1 and i was waiting to find out more about it. That's the reason why I was a little confused about the fact you were surprised about the village arc. It was a huge foreshadowing and one goal in our journey to encounder this village at some point.

BRUNO Marques

Faputa is perfectly immortal. It's not made clear in the anime but she is immortal not because she regenerates but because her conscience would endure forever even without a body. She regenerates by burning value but does not have much left after the village.

2023-07-29 22:08:31 Spoiler for anyone that wants to know what Faputa does after this episode. *********************She just follows the group around and then joins them lol. When season 3 comes out it will probably just be the plot of the first episode. Faputa quite literally doesn't go further than 100 meters from Reg lol

People are missing that scents are signs of the soul, and can store memories. Majikaja is made up entirely of smells. Belaf shared his memories with Nanachi and Faputa through smell. The 2 characters said to smell nice were the recipients of extremely strong wishes, becoming blessed in the process. The forcefield is depicted as a gas multiple times. The abyss is said to react to peoples conscience as seen with the orbed piercer and cradles. It's fantastic world building. It's just not explicitly stated.

Daniel Griffiths

im glad to have your honest opinion on made in abyss im very much looking forward to mushoku tensei :D and thank you for making this a single reaction its much appreciated:)

Demo

Ah, the pirate site that I read it on only had 1 1/2 chapters afterwards. Good to know there are others out there!

Tendo HD

i guess its becouse maa was outside of the village he vanished like mitty did becouse anything created inside the village cant exist outside off it

vaste

next season wont be out for at least 3 years. some people will wanna know. but i did separate the paragraph a little to give people more of a chance to avoid it

LemonSaucyPants

way more than 3 years theres like an episode or 2 worth of content in the manga left rn

vaste

OH TRUST ME I KNOW..... been up to date for about 6 years now. Last year we got 4-5 chapters lol. itll be a while lol.

Some0neElse

The thing with season 2 was that it had to spend several episodes fleshing out the villagers so we can understand Faputa and the Abyss a bit better and i think most of what we learned will be essential in season 3 Also i cant wait for MT reactions but man i think you are not ready for it

Louispul5

Notice she did not say Sosu the entire time she was scary eyed monster Faputa? Just after she came to her senses? And it's not weird. Imagine you have a boyfriend. Imagine you are a fluffy bunny girl that smells nice. Imagine your boyfriend leaves for 500 years and comes back with another good smelling bunny girl. You've been replaced, and where did he even find such a specific replacement?!

Eggicus Roundplumpius

Okay, so, I have a theory about where Riko's soul came from. What about that girl-type Riko's Mother mentioned in her notes? What if she was very important to Reg, but she died, so she was reincarnated as Riko? That would explain why Reg was on a mission to find "HAKU". He was literally looking for the lost soul of this girl who died. It would also explain why Riko named Reg "Reg" despite him being already called that.

2023-07-29 23:20:59 I'm going to have to call crap on your opinion of S2, simply because you can't say that the last half of the season blew it out the water without understanding that the first half was THE SETUP for the LAST HALF. without the setup there would be no last half that has left you in tears and smiling the last 4/5 reactions I've seen. I get that you didn't expect the buildup, but literally every single arc of MiA has had this buildup. Arc1: The time they spent above the abyss, school, hanging with friends made the starting dive that much more impactful. Arc2: Getting to know bondwend / the orphaned children made the last half of the movie completely breathtaking / impactful. s2: Literally the same thing. MIA is literally not about the destination, It's the friends we mutated along the way. If they just kept it surface shallow without deeper dives, do you really think you'd care for anything that happened to anyone except Reg/Riku?

You have to react to the warning, it is a Mexican rock band that is made up of 3 sisters. They have 3 albums and they are under 23 years old. I recommend you listen to their cover of enter sandman de metalica, from when they had Daniela - Guitar - 14 yrs old. Paulina - Drums - 12 yrs old. Alejandra - Bass Guitar - 9 yrs old. The metalica drummer said that the little drummer was a beast when he heard the cover. https://youtu.be/1boUYB9LFJY You should also listen to their songs in their live performances disciple https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wo0odllVq8g&t=196s&pp=ygUUZGlzY2lwbGUgdGhlIHdhcm5pbmc%3D dust to dust https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeIbG8nkOiU&pp=ygUYZHVzdCB0byBkdXN0IHRoZSB3YXJuaW5n evolve https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxy5WOQ4qfg&pp=ygUSZXZvbHZlIHRoZSB3YXJuaW5n Thanks.

AnimeCenter

Faputa is actually joining them. I know it's a bit of a spoiler but she comes with them right away in the next chapter in the manga.

Hawk of Battle

Yeah I still don't get the criticism of the first half of s2. Watching those first few episodes you seemed to be complaining that the show slowed down and the "main plot" wasn't going anywhere, but the main plot has always been about exploring the Abyss, and the show is allowed to spend more than 2 episodes in 1 location to do that. Tbh, one could just as easily complain the opposite way about s1; that we rushed through certain layers far too quickly. Maybe the faster pace set a tone for you that you expected it to maintain throughout? I dunno. But, for those of us who've watched a lot of anime, s2 is hardly slow paced. Hell, try watching something like Fairy Tail or Black Clover, where a single story arc among dozens of story arcs can last longer than this entire season, and try comparing the pacing then. If you're so hung up on the show spending 6 episodes to set up a story for the arc then something like Hunter X Hunter, which spends about 15 episodes on a combined 5 minutes of real-time events which have nothing to do with "the main story" is going to give you real trouble, despite being one of the best parts of said show. (Not to mention the 20 or more episodes prior to it setting up all of THAT!) I think it was clear to the rest of us that most of s1 was really just a prologue to the rest of the story, a story which is nowhere near close to conclusion and will likely take years to play out. We're probably going to spend an entire season on the next layer too (after we get there, however long that even takes), and we'll have to learn what that layer is all about too, same as we did this season. THAT'S going to be the formula for the show, and by the end of the series s1 is going to be the one that's out of place compared to the rest. Saying that, I enjoyed your reaction to this and I'm glad somebody finally reacted to it (can't find a reactor who has besides you). This was my first time subscribing to a patreon just for this show and I'll be sticking around for Mushuko Tensei too.

Flutter0Shy

Yeah, I can understand the feelings about first half. It's like what if the meeting with Ozen and the training montage were stretched to a whole half season, but also let's remember that manga wasn't and is not very far even today so they had to at least keep the 12 episodes fit for a season in a way... At least you can see it as one of the many things to encounter as an "obstacle" in one of those unkown layers... As the rest will be 100% blind to any foreshadowing other than the White Whistles so far.

Gregery stunt double

I do hope now that you've finished the show you'll react to some of the songs, I think you'd really enjoy them. If you do see this comment I recommend listening to any out of these: Tomorrow, Old stories, stingerhead nest, prayer and immolation, encounter the umbra hands, tozo hanoline, juroimoh mutation, or relinquish. There's alot of great songs, but I think out of all of them these are my personal favorites

Christopher Peavy

Derek comes form the gothic name Þiudareiks which means “ruler of the people”

Steven H.

YaboyRoshi is a reaction channel and he, his wife, and his best friend are a trio that watched this together. They’re my favorite reaction channel, but I enjoy watching with luke just as much as i watch with them.

Taraster33

I was hesitant about this series because of all the complaints I heard about the odd sexual stuff and children, but that aside, this series is excellent and I am glad I got to enjoy it. I can 100% say Id never have watched this if you didn't do a react series. Definitely down to keep watching more with you and see many more anime I never even heard of before

Jason Tam

What a ride. I wish the manga came out at a more regular schedule, releases are very infrequent. Its really not much further then where season 2 ended. I'll have to go back and reread it.

Pete Bickmore

We are finally getting some momentum with it. A chapter between every 1-2 months. Think the mangaka got somewhat distracted with the anime releases. But now if he wants to have more adapted, he has the write it now haha.

Pete Bickmore

There is somewhat a divide on the preference between season 1 and 2 in general. Some people have the same opinion as yourself. Whereas some, like myself, felt season 1 skipped too quickly through the upper part of the abyss and would have been better if it could have slowed down a bit. But that was always a problem with having to get to it’s jumping off point after 12/13 episodes. I loved the movie for it’s focus on one story for the full length. I loved this arc because of the way it’s weaved it’s narrative and paid it off so damn beautifully in these final 4 or 5 episodes. I loved how you summed up the collective thought’s on Faputa. She’s an absolutely psycho murder loaf but she’s so damn adorable that we don’t care. All her feelings are completely justifiable in her context because what happened to her mother is extremely fucked up and she didn’t have the context of “they did it to survive.” To start with either. The chapters are starting to come and we know it’s extremely likely that once we have enough material, it’ll get adapted. Whether that’s a season 3 or a movie we don’t know yet.

Flippnote

He’s new so just be patient, this is a lot for a new anime fan. After all, he’s watching Jujutsu Kaisen and he really sees ITADORI as the best written character of all people, and can’t even be bothered to remember anyone else. I guess just think of all the shows you started early on and how much you didn’t appreciate until a rewatch since you didn’t have a taste of good or bad writing yet. This season will likely be one of those for him.

Flippnote

Who are the psychopaths who recommended Mushoku Tensei?? Y’all are hyping it up just to get mad at Luke when he INEVITABLY doesn’t like it for the EXACT reasons you expect. Y’all see his reaction to this show and chose that??

Arctic

By the time you reach Season 2 of Mushoku Tensei I think cour 1 of S2 will be done, so that means roughly 30ish episodes. Also after Mushoku I hope you'll put Fate and Evangelion in the running for the next exclusive

MW3InfectedROCK

Definitely agree to this statement. The story of mushoku is good but just sheer amount of sus stuffs in that show hurts it so much. Especially with how significant it is compare to made in abyss.

Flippnote

Thematically, it is a strong show with how it depicts shame and how to overcome it. But there’s VERY little to justify how they write in overly sus stuff. It’s fetishization masked in “commentary”

Flippnote

Evangelion would be a lot for him considering he’s still getting a grasp on the deep and psychological stuff, but it absolutely would’ve been a better choice than MT🤦🏽‍♂️

malkuuusha

I think you’re the one overreacting here… Luke is a really easy going guy, I don’t think he gonna hate it. And there is nothing needed to be justified, we all know that Rudy is sh*t at the start. But the plot is good, so why not give it a try. I think you’re taking all this too seriously just based on your personal dislike towards this show

Reennji

I think you might be like many others and not like Mushoku Tensei. It has good lore, a good story, great characters, and is quite spectacular, but the main character is... let's say that many dropped the series just because of the protagonist. I say this because it happened to me, and I'm not the only one.

Flippnote

“We all know” is crazy. Every channel gets shitty fans trying to back Rudy and Luke is just gonna get flamed when he gives his honest take. It was dumb choice. Plus not a single soul asked you

The GoDKing 27

Now we wait for season 3 of made in abyss UNLESS………………

Niklas Neumann

What are your top 5 anime at his point?

Thomas M

They really did Vueko dirty here. They literally just didn't want her to join Riko on her journey and there was no other place for her to go so they just killed her off. I think it would have been nice to have had her get to know Faputa.

Lyee

After finished all the episodes of Made in Abyss, please react to the opening and ending🥺🥺🥺

Roxy’s Holy Relic

Mushoku Tensei is an anime that has god-tier world building and character development. Yes, the show has incredibly flawed characters and no it’s not like many other anime’s where a “bad” character magically changes overnight into a “good” person. It’s a slow burn and the characters have depth and are extremely well written. One thing Mushoku Tensei does right is the realistic portrayal of morally questionable themes. Unfortunately this is bound to trigger sensitive people so it’s not a show I’d recommend to everyone but I think Luke can handle it and will appreciate this anime

Daniel V

he likes no game no life so when luke likes mushoku you will be the fool

Flippnote

It’s a show for pedos man and he’ll have to pretend to anyway cause it’s his job. When a bunch of Rudy defenders flood the comments after he criticizes it at all, you’ll see I was right. Your fanbase is a bunch of sex offenders

Roy Meulblok

This is my first time seeing Made in Abyss aswell and I love it, but I do agree that the first half of the 2nd season is not great.

Siffzigeuner

I hope "Another" might be become an Patreon option. If I remember correctly you often ask for horror stuff. Unfortunately there are really only a few series that could be considered as what we in the "western world" understand as "horror". Horror is often just a side element in anime and the main focus still something else. Due to their religion and culture ghosts / sprits / souls / demons etc are seen in a different way and not only as something otherwordly or scary. Your reaction to the "Another" OP song was kinda "meh" but I am still pretty sure you might enjoy "Another". It is also a complete story in 12 episodes + 1 bonus episode. After that I really hope we can start with a music anime. I highly recommend "Carole & Tuesday". It has a band forming part, festivals, a talent show part and a lot of other music related topics. Other options could be "Ya Boy Kongming" or "K-On", but there are still a lot more.

Aaren YASS

There's actually an emphasis on scents in MiA. So the "faputas butt is fragrant too" is probably relating to her scent glands (usually located near the butt, paws, head/face) which means, she's confident she has a nice scent as well (she has the scent of the sun). Im a big scent person myself, so I'd like someone more if they smelled nice 😂 (natural scent especially)-

Daniel V

insecure pedo are you projecting.Yes i guess because only people like you have problem with shows like this go back to twitter

Daniel V

no,but i am sure you can recomend some because you are king and watched every single one of them in fact i am sure you produce some as well thats the kind of people you are

Flippnote

lol self-reporting. doesn’t take much for you sickos to admit it huh

Aaren YASS

The cute cyclops girl that tried to save Vueko was basically her girlfriend before they became hollows 😭 the show just cut that out, but it's sad to think that maybe she liked Vueko more than Vueko liked her. 😩 I mean Vuekos number one was Iruumyui, she couldn't compete.

Guess morons like you dont have brain cells to understand that someone is fucking with them, but anyway take this moron sandwich full of shit and go to twitter

Season 2 felt like a detour if you only look at it from the perspective of the events occurring, but the sheer amount of lore dump, and exploration of how the abyss works and some of its rules that are revealed here in season 2 I think really made those 'pointless' episodes a lot less pointless when you pay closer attention. I recommend a re watch on your own time to catch all the details or maybe read the manga. The abyss isn't a place where 'anything goes' it has consistent rules, they just don't spoon feed them to you. Thanks for reacting to this! Its been a really fun ride watching someone else appreciate something I've grown to love so much! I'm off to go read vol 11 which picks up where this ep leaves off now, it just arrived last week and I've been holding off!

MW3InfectedROCK

It not overreacting as it literally impossible to deny that the story of main character Mushoku is a pedo. He is “fully grown man” thus his actions is quite disturbing. If you cannot see that something is wrong with you.

Daniel V

btw i never defended the mc i know he is bad person at the begining.I mean i read the entire series, but to say that the people that watch this series are pedos is insane and belongs on twitter with the twitter freaks

Rob

That, plus he missed a whole lot of informations/names during this setup, so i get why he won't connect those two parts unfortunately. There were like 2 episodes halway through the season where they started explaining a lot of things, and those episodes have been useless to him since he couldn't remember who the three sages were. He was sitting there listening to characters mentioning names and events that meant nothing to him because he forgot the first flashback :'( I hope he will give it a rewatch on his own one day or another !

EMIJAN KING osu!

Omg. Thank you for your reaction! Im absolutely grateful in first place that you reacted to this anime. So we re all waiting for friday to come. Cant wait to see your reaction to Mushouko Tensei. And again thank you very much!

Raingurr

Gonna miss your reactions, if Luke ever does Clannad, and if you haven't already seen it, I'd really enjoy hearing your thoughts through that one.

Edu S.

the clingy part does not need to be a bad trait, and why do she has to become "more normal"? thats her charisma, its cool

Edu S.

the boyfriend who can fulfill your only life wish, dont forget

malkuuusha

“this is a show for pedos”, for real, get some help and learn to divide fiction from reality and anime characters from real people

malkuuusha

“He is a fully grown man”, he is a shut-in and virgin who never interacted with people normally, had neither friends nor love interests, was bullied his entire life by literally everyone except maybe for his mother. His actions are trash, but with the life he lived you can’t call him adult. And now he can experience life for real and become better

Flippnote

*someone calls CP bad* *MT fans writing an essay saying it’s not*

Daniel V

dont interact with this moron anymore he is clearly projecting and dont have any brain cells.

Ohms

I am doing reactions to Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (i held off on watching that) and yes, I've not watched Clannad, so if he watches that anime i'd probably react with him

I absolutely loved season 2. When I heard all the praise of MiA and watched season 1, I thought it was overrated, but once I got to season 2 that mindset completely changed. My biggest problem with season 1 is we never really got to explore the layers, we were always jumping to the next and never sitting and truly learning about them. Season 2 changed this by having an entire season for just layer 6, and I couldn't have been more happy about it. I guess those 6 episodes were slow and confusing for you, but I was completely engaged the entire time, though it doesn't help you kept for getting things. Not that I blame you, I had to rewind a few times to make sure I was keeping up. Still, I was a bit surprised how littlie you remembered. Most likely because I binged watched it, and you watched two episodes a weak while also watching other shows.

David Deschaintre

this is exactly how i felt about it, i was relatively sure how the village and faputa would be handled but she was the only one i didnt know what would happen of at the end, i guess killing her off was an option that made more sense to not crowd the story with too many characters but i really liked vueko :c

You might be surprised to know that many western names DO have meanings. Derrick, for example: Origin:German. Meaning:Ruler of the people. Derrick is a boy's name and surname of Germanic origin. It's a shortened form of Theodoric, which combines the elements þeud, meaning “people” with rīc, meaning “ruler” to create “ruler of the people.” Another example: David - from the Hebrew name Dawid, which evolved from the Hebrew word dod (beloved).

2023-08-02 13:37:55 With no doubt one of the greatest anime, and one of the works that left the deepest impression on me! Some like more season 1, others like more season 2 or the movie, each with good reasons. But we all agree that the whole thing is just fucking incredible. Especially since Kinema Citrus and Kevin Penkin offer magnificent visuals and music worthy of this universe and story. I can't wait to watch the anime sequel! In case anyone is interested, Made In Abyss vol 11 has just been released. It's the direct sequel to season 2. Riko, Reg, Nanachi, Meinya and Prushka continue their adventures. A brilliant new arc, a new facet of Made In Abyss ;). /!\ mini-spoiler below /!\ mini-spoiler : Of course the princess, as implied in this latest episode, joins the party sosu...from the very first pages of volume 11. And I'm so glad she did, because I love this character so much.

I'm guessing someone has filled in the blanks, but just in case, MiA like to highlight scents sometimes, and Faputa and Nanachi are the stars im thay showcase. I don't remember WHY Nanachi smells incredible, but Faputa does have a scent gland by her butthole, and it is said that her scent is like being warmed by the sun. I ADORE that line about Faputa's butt being fragrant. 🤪

47:19 I did not think it would happen this time, but....yeah, I cried. I really wanted Veuko to live somehow, or at least not get the Curse like this, however, seeing Faputa love and acknowledge Veuko, her mother's mother, in the end, was masterful. 52:40 Another reason I cherish your content. You get nearly as into anime as I do!

I did read the manga, as far as an English translation got me, and, boy, will S3 be a totally wild beast. I have been insanely upset that the manga stopped where it did!

Omegateck16 .

I think you didnt really understand alot of the themes and subtle commentary in this season more then alot of us that say season 2 is better. I feel like you were the same with the movie as well. It's a complex show on first watch, but it can be confusing to some.

Colm Barry

Faputa: "I am smol, I am fluffy, and I want your fucking heads"

Noctislolig

"You should enjoy the little detours to the fullest. Because that's where you'll find the things more important than what you want."

L.C.

I hope he ended up understanding that Faputa is going with them its just she was being hardheaded about it

Regill Derenge

you watch too many anime at once. you really didn't grasp the themes of season 2 ^^

ShoePlum

Faputa isn't evil, lol. XD

Majika's body has been explained when they met him. His true form is just a vapor made of smells. He has various "shells" that he can wear, which we see three of throughout the series.
