Clannad as a series is one of three animes that have changed my life for the better alongside A Silent Voice and Sound! Euphonium, and is top5 series of all time for me alongside Sound! Euhponium, Fruits Basket, Violet Evergarden and Aria the Anime. Clannad After Story is and will never budge from my number one spot. It's that good. The Dango Daikazoku ending will make sense to you don't worry about it. Also, Clannad is part of what I like to call the Key trilogy animated by Kyoto Animation : Air in 2005, Kanon in 2006, Clannad in 2007 and After Story in 2008. All three of them were originally Visual novels developed by studio Key.

clannad is one of those pieces of media where you wish you had never seen it as once its been experienced it can never be re-experienced in the same way. It is a much watch even if you arnt an anime fan for the story it tells.

Man... Clannad just changed my outlook on life, a story I'll never forget. This anime goes beyond a simple drama, it teaches you about life, love, friends, sacrifice to achieve a goal or dream, and above all, it teaches you about family. You definitely have to see it, at least experience it once in your life, and I assure you that you'll be marked for life. As for the music, you will find an incredible OST, there is no doubt that it has one of the best in history (as simple as it may be) And I find the opening theme of After Story one of my favorites, but ending 1... gosh, it just gives me goosebumps listening to it, and my eyes water... Dango, dango, dango, dango 🎶

Clannad is based on a visual novel of the same name. It's a dramatic romance and each one of the girls you see with their name listed represents a differnt route you can take. Nagisa, the first girl featured, is the main heroine of the story and technically what is considered the true route.

One way I can describe this show. It was my first heartbreak. I was in my teens when I watched the show, and had some girlfriends before watching it. But this show made me realize, I did not know what love was!

One of my top 5 shows of all time, and also one of my most nostalgic. Really hope you get around to this one some day. If you do, prepare for tears and drama, but some amazing writing. Oh man he has no idea how hard Dango Daikozoku hits if you've watched the show. Oof.

I have a recommendation Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka? or SukaSuka. Its a super good/emotional anime that will make you cry.

If you want to watch anime with full of different emotion, watch it !! It's a Treasure, especially saison 2 :D By the way, it comes from a visual novel like steins gate ;)

The moon rabbit thing is just a cultural version of what we call Man in the Moon. Only they have a whole mythology for the Moon rabbit. There's a reason every anime that features a princess from the moon gives her a rabbit motif. Even the name of Sailor Moon is Usagi, which means rabbit.

you must watch both clannad and clannad after story some day. ignore the movie please you gotta do the anime series. (movie is just part 1 squished together if i remember correctly)
