Very good Anime. Not what it seems

Szayel H

YES a must watch indeed

BlekDimon

Madoka Magica is safe for twitch.

MrGaldor123

A must-watch in my opinion, among my absolute favorite animes!

Demo

Madoka Magica is both great and bat-shit insane. (Sorry if cussing is against the rules here, new to patreon) You can for sure watch it on twitch though.

Frank Stendal

one of my friends used some of this music at her wedding, and it really worked

BlekDimon

Madoka Magica is one of the few animes I rated 10/10 and one of my favourites. It's very short, just 12 episodes + a movie (sequel). It has a lot more OSTs I could recommend, but with some of them it would be going a bit into spoiler teritory with titles and feels of the soundtracks alone. The anime is made by Shaft, the studio that also made Monogatari series which u have openings yet to react. Monogatari series also kills it with OSTs, "etoile et toi" for example, is a soundtrack you would never expect to be in a anime and it's freaking amazing.

David M

You should make a contract and become a Magical Girl!

Michał Koczorowski

Oh my oh my, Steins Gate, Hellsing Ultimate, now Made in Abyss and Madoka? You will get overstimulated my man, that's too much good anime juice at once! (not that i'm complaining, of course)

Suichoku

Fun fact about "Sis Puella Magica", it is sing in language made by its composer Kajiura Yuki

GENESIS

It's a short anime with 12 episodes and a movie. Another movie was also recently announced which should be coming soon™

FaerieRose

12+movie. We can watch this over 3 weeks.

Yuki Kajiura composed the OST for Madoka (and a bunch of other animes) and her music is always so haunting and ethereal. She's absolutely incredible! The entire reason I sat down and watched Madoka for the first time back in the day was BECAUSE I found out Yuki Kajiura did the soundtrack, and then it proceeded to be my favorite anime for the next 8 years until I watched Haikyuu lol. She's also done the OSTs for shows like Demon Slayer, Sword Art Online, .hack//SIGN, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Erased, one of the Fate animes, and Noir off the top of my head.

dg_2drunk

please don't watch this anime on twitch, it's much better without any distractions

Some0neElse

Another anime you should add to the list next to Madoka Magica is Wonder egg priority.

Ceeneon

Didn't Mother's Basement say they absolutely flubbed the ending of it or something

HorriblyUnoriginal

"Is it Twitch safe." It depends on how they define nudity. There's some brief "nudity" scenes where the girls are completely naked, but without any details drawn, like a Barbie doll. I will say that I prefer the non-Twitch format, such as how you cover Death Note. But on the other hand, it's a really good show to binge.

Ceeneon

If you love the OST here, I think you'll enjoy Yuki Kajiura's work from older anime such as .hack//SIGN and .hack//ROOT. She might be credited under her prior group See-Saw, or her current (but I think not so active) group/project FictionJunction

Tom Boggess

/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\contract?

Tom Boggess

i'd love to see you react to magia by kalafina, it's the first track you hear when you start madoka magica

Emilis2023

I don't really know where Twitch draws the line. The show is relatively tame in terms of nudity or sexual content, but there are some featureless nude scenes kind of reminiscent of Sailor Moon transformations but more skin toned.

Some0neElse

search it up. He already reacted to the openings and endings of Madoka Magica

Some0neElse

Twitch might get a bit trigger happy in some scenes... it is a "Magical girl" anime and as such it uses the signature thing of all magical girl shows - transformation of the clothes while the character is shown naked but only as outline

Slipstream

Yeah, another original story that starts strong and goes off a cliff 2/3 way through.

ベルベット

I do highly recommend watching this show, I think it may be better as a youtube reaction (it is still quite popular as a reaction show even to this day despite its age) but if you do do it on twitch, I would certainly avoid looking at chat to much, and to tell your mods to be a little stricter because genuinely its hard for some people to keep spoilers about this show in their pants lmao

Slipstream

The OST for this anime is powerful. It hits you right in the feels. The OST will mean so much more to you once you've completed the journey. Madoka is Twitch safe, but Youtube worthy.

Sai

Watch Overlord, but go into it blind.

Martin Boudrias

This is an amazing anime, and the soundtrack is spectacular. Seriously, Yuki Kajiura is a musical genius, one of the best composers in anime. and I agree with the others, it is probably safe for twitch, but would go better on youtube. Also, Madoka is pretty short. 12 episodes plus a sequel movie. there are some sidestories as well, following different characters, but the main series is just 12+the movie

NikoCat11

Kajiura Yuki. Just.

Bluestar

Really hope it wins the tourney. Been a while since I watched Madoka, I think its about time.

Metal

Puella Madoka Magica is short. I liked it.

William Pina

Watching Madoka on YouTube is a sure way of adding a few hundred million views to your channel

Mercurium

I don't think there's anything too bad in Madoka Magica. A little blood from time to time, I don't think there's any nudity (thank the gods!! these characters are pretty young). I don't even know if there's much swearing in the show. Just lots of physiological trauma.

Mercurium

BTW there are MANY amazing music score pieces in the series. Sadly I don't think it's very copyright friendly because of all the great music in it.

yorgash

Oh come on, Madoka has way less nudity than a pre 2010 children show had, and frankly this is an amount that doesn't feel annoying at all, neither is it in-your-face.

ベルベット

oh i dont think anyone would care generally about it, but i mean Luke should know that there is nudity instead of simply being told there is none at all and then being surprised when suddenly there is.

Matt Thompson

Such a happy show. 😈😈😈

Some0neElse

eeeh its just like Game of thrones to me :D I erase the ending from my mind :D

Mad Goldsmith

To me personally, the Madoka OSTs always gave me a pre-christmas sort of vibe (we call that time „advent“ here, not sure if it‘s similar for the uk).

David Stowe

This makes me want to do a throw back and watch you react to the .hack sign soundtrack

Mr. Dog

Twitch safe yes it is. Though I don't recommend you watch Madoka Magica yet until you watch a few standard "Magical Girl" genre anime. I won't make you sit through a full lllength standard magical girl show as the genre isn't usually meant for grown men that like dark shows and action. Maybe a few OVA's that are short (4 eps long type stories). You should not get any spoilers on Madoka Magica and shoudl watch it blind. But I'll insist that you at least need to know the genre of Magical Girl first.

Louispul5

While it is probably best you watch something else in the Magical Girl Genre first, I cannot think of anything else in the genre you'd enjoy. So watching it before you're spoiled on it becomes more important. It's good, but just like Made in Abyss, it's one of those "Doesn't achieve lift off until episode 3" shows. So watching just one episode will not hook you.

BlekDimon

I watched before this one episode od Sailor Moon and saw quite a few of various clips from this anime and other mahou shoujo and it was enough to get me familiar with what this is. It's nothing complicated, tho u need at least know what this genre is before u start Madoka.

Sorcerer

One of my top 5 anime. Give it 3 episodes.

Yan Kozyrenko

Frankly speaking, top 1 anime for me. I notice that we are quite similar in tastes, so i would highly recommend this anime because this is the most fucking unique anime in the history so far. Though to understand why it is unique you must at least get acquainted with the genre itself because this anime is what it called "genre deconstruction". I guarantee you a very heartbreaking experience throughout the show and psychological trauma as well. These OST's are my personally best among all anime OST's, you may not notice this, but in each OST there bunch of sadness behind it. Though they might sound chill, but i was almost dropped a tear while listening to Decretum. Also, to mention, the language used in sis puella magica isnt the real language at all, it is an artificial language that i guess it made of other langauages such as Italian, latin, french. This is really impressing.
