it's so fun watching the uninitiated dive straight into some of the most radical anime. This anime is about altruism, the value of a wish, mild philospophy of what constitutes a self, and cute middle school girls.

CLARIS is a two person vocal group who usually use masks to hide their face when on stage. They are wonderful singers who have done alot of anime music. Another one of my favorites of theirs is Irony, which is the opening to Oreimo (an anime which became controversial but personally I find it to be quite adorable and enjoyable to watch)

Madoka Magica is a wonderful anime that completely redefined the Magical Girl genre (though nothing that came after it did it quite as well as Madoka). I won't say HOW it redefined it, because it's a pretty big spoiler, but it's absolutely worth the watch. It's one season (12 episodes) but it's got I think 3 movies (though 2 of those are just recaps of the anime series, so 1 NEW movie) and a spin-off anime series called Magia Record (3 seasons, though the 2nd and 3rd seasons only have 8 and 4 episodes I think), which is based off the game of the same name. And I honestly could have missed some things, it's an absolutely huge franchise.

Yeah like others mentioned Madoka is one of those shows that are pretty opposite to what they look like at first glance. It's a phenomenal show.

In anime, their are originals and adaptations, which means did the anime base on manga novel or games, madoka is considered one of the greatest when we're talking about original, literally just turn the whole table and definition of magical girl, a founder of a new era,the opening is just a scam.

Yes, you should check out Re:CREATORS. The soundtrack and OPs are great. Every Sawano soundtrack is great, even when the anime itself isn't (e.g. Aldnoah Zero).

This is actually one of my favorite animes. Without spoiling I will say it's not what you expect. Also, if you haven't seen any magical girl animes before, yes the characters tend to be young and they will be naked during their transformation scenes. Usually they're covered by a glow or other forms of censorship.

You know.... You always mention about how your being shown the cherry picked anime, there's a lot of ones that are so bad that they go right back around to being good again in a weird sorta way. So I'd like to recommend an anime that people either LOVE or HATE, there doesn't seem to be any in between. It's called "Symphogear" (or "senki zesshou symphogear" if you want to be specific). It's a music based anime with BANGER opening and ending themes, as well as amazing ost's. It's themes include music, magical Girl, super sentai(power rangers), kaiju, mecha and especially mythology.

The group is called ClariS and there are in fact two singers like you thought at one point. Plus, there's only one season but three films and supposedly a fourth coming soon.

The name of the show is liteally "Magical Girl Madoka" and is in the same genre as Sailor Moon, so highschool girls turning into good magical girls and fighting evil monsters, it is a very nice anime and probably the most LEGENDARY anime of this genre ♥

I would love to see you watch this show. Homura is Best Girl. And F*** Kyubey. Personally, I feel the OP song choice is specifically supposed to give the impression of running towards something at all times. As if you're trying to reach a goal that is always out of reach.

This is part of the "Magical Girl" genre, which for many years was considered to be mostly light hearted, colorful, and positive. Madoka puts a twist on it, and does it well. The opening doesn't give much away, and I'd love to see you watch this as its up there with one of my all time favorites. Its deceptively dark.
