Couple things I thought you might like clarified. Victor is the scientist not the villain, the villains name (as said by Benzo right before he died) is Silco. The woman smoking was NOT the one threatening the merchant, she was the one who said Vander looked weak when he refused to fight back last episode. Also they said several times that not all the stones were gone, they were locked up by the enforcers (along will all Jayce's other equipment) after the explosion. Powder only stole a handful. I'm only halfway through so I'll add more if I see it.

This is the ONE show that successfully makes the ending of episode 3 feel like an end of an anime arc of 12-13 episodes.. emotionally, story-wise, everything

Yeah... Powder fucked things up... But it is worth mentioning that she had no idea that they were actually making things work. From what powder was seeing, things were falling apart and a monster was about to break through the door and murder them all.

I will give people that this is one of the highlights... But i am not sure it is my favourite. I think the one with the best action scene and strange opening is my favourite, as i think it adds in some really fantastic themes to the show, which makes the world more nuanced. (I am purposefully not giving an episode name or many specifics.)

I always find it crazy that this show won 4 Emmys out of 5 nominations, and yet none were for this stand-alone episode. That should tell you something: it gets even better. Thanks for your watchalong! I never get tired of this show!

can't wait for ep 4 :) and the thing with arcane is that there is a lot of gray character and marcus is one of them he is neither good or bad he is in between so trying to put them in good box et bad box will be useless strugle he is a reckless and "racist"? (don't know the word) toward the poor but not enterly bad since he regret his action and the death of the sherif

You kinda passed the hype train with reaction to this series. Maybe thats the reason there are not that many views than expected. Because i know they were highly viewed for like 6 months after release. Anyway, nice reaction, keep up the good work and I see YOU in one week (maybe sooner).

It's left up to interpretation whether or not Power "completely" messed up their escape plan. Yes, Claggor had the hole in the wall, yes; Milo had finally gotten the shackles off, yes, there was a door in between. But Deker had already dented the door in quite a bit and may have broken it all the way through if not for Poweder's distraction.

just to help with keeping characters straight: Victor is the young scientist/assistant who is helping Jayce make hextech in Piltover (the topside city). Silco is the man in the undercity with the purple ooze who took Vander hostage.

Fun fact in the game there are a ton of voice lines that characters say when running into each other in game. One of these is between jinx(powder) and fiddlesticks who is basically a demon of fear, well when they run into each other in game fiddlesticks screams "jinx, it's all your fault! All your fault! All your fault!" And no one knew what the voice line was referencing untill this episode came out.

The "evil" guy you mean is named "Silco". Victor is one of the two hextech-developers. But to make it clear: there is absolutely NO good or evil in this show, the characters are never absolutely good or bad, they are just human. They all try to do what they think is best, but sometimes this ends in an even worse result. Like Marcus (the police officer), he was never "bad". He just thought he could do better than Ms. Grayson (the sheriff) and acted on his own - only to make things worse in the end. I've NEVER seen a series portraying the emotions and personality of its character as human as in Arcane. And this was only act 1, the exposition. Look forward to the next act ;)

In their room, Vi told all of them where Ekko followed them to, thats how Powder knew. Also, to finally lift the confusion, you can see the blue stones as some kind of magical battery for big time magic. Mage with staff can use them because he was born with arcane talents, Jayce and everyone else try to recreate this with science. The purple Ooze on the other hand... its hard to explain without going to spoilerville, so ill keep it simple. See it as some recently discovered undercity chemicals. Theres much more behind it, but even this show doesnt go there, so take the easy road :) The Villain's name is Silco, the assistant scientist is Viktor, u mixed them up a few times (that will pass). love your reaction and seeing you think about all of it :) Also, the darker-skinned lady isnt the one with the trader in episode I, she is the one calling Vander weak in episode 2. Last but not least, from what i understand, Riot had all songs written exactly for this show and stated that they wont pursue copyright-stuff, since they want it to spread. There is one exception though. The intro song "enemy" is owned by another studio and they dont like a spread word, so keep that song out at all costs :) Love your energy. I came for Arcane but i think i will stay for a while. Cheers, mate.
