About how the show is so fast paced and you hardly find good timing to talk, I think that's ok with the people who want you to watch it. Rather than a reaction, people want you to experience this show :D

Rozcat

My parrot once accidentally bit my finger and pried the piece of nail that's under the skin with his beak. So if you look at your nail, you can see it going down and then under the skin. Right there, on the side, a piece of nail was pried from underneath the skin and overlapped the skin. It's hard to explain, but anyway... As the finger nail grew, that piece of nail got pushed upwards over time, eventually it became the top part of the nail that you cut. So nails grow from within the finger. If you marked the bottom of your nail (right above where it goes under the skin) with a drop of nail polish, that drop would move up the nail over time :P

Ignartz

If you make a scratch on your nail you can see how it moves up until it reaches the end of the nail. The full nail grows :)

Will

All of the music and songs are custom produced by Riot for the show. That said, other reactors have had all sorts of issues with videos being taken down, so it's probably a good idea to mute the songs when you do your edits.

Episode 3 absolutely should be on YouTube. (The show was released in three sets of 3 episodes each.) After that, you can decide to go Patreon only. It's not an alternate Earth. It's an entirely separate world called Runeterra. You actually see the globe in the intro flashback when Jayce and his mom get teleported. The point where the moon stops moving is directly over where the city of Piltover is. As for characters from the game: While it can be fun to know who is who, I think it works much better as a story if you don't. Don't treat it as an adaptation of a video game, where the game tells you what can and cannot happen, what people's powers are, and all the rest. None of that matters. Just watch and be immersed in the story.

Mirikal

"Is this a fantasy world?" Yep. However, when you see Shruima, it'll blow your top. ;) Nothing is created in a vacuum. Yes, that was Jayce and his mother being saved from being frozen to death by Ryze. Yes, there are many, many forms of power, but in this case, this was Singe's first human experiment with "Shimmer," facilitated by Silco. Anyone who has played LoL to a good extent will recognize names here and there and be excited, but it is enjoyable from both perspectives. You aren't losing out on any sort of experience by being ignorant here, it is more that you are coming at it from the ground up rather than having read/watched extensive lore about these characters. Also, as of this episode, we are up to having seen 11 future Champions of the League of Legends, w00t w00t.

almost got it, Violet is actually offering herself to be sentenced for the crime; she gave her bunny that was stuck high in the wires to Powder as memorabilia, but on the bar, Vander saw the bunny and realized something was wrong ;) BTW, the easter eggs are a nice addition but they're not very in-your-face so everyone can just enjoy this spectacle of a show ALSO, I recommend listening to the songs at the end of an episode just so you can process what you just saw... ESPECIALLY after ep.3

Sentinel

Hello, i just wanted to add that series is based not on actual gameplay from league of legends but +/- on stories of the characters who u can play in game

The Talanton

7:22 - "Authoritarian" is the word you're looking for to describe Piltover. Oligarchy also fits.

Tarek Jamous

Great reaction ! As for your questions, the characters in the game are : Vi ( Violet ), her sister Powder ( blue hair girl ), Jayce ( The one with the blue gem) Caitlyn ( his friend who held the umbrella), Ekko ( the little boy with white hair ), Singed ( the old guy who tested the purple drink on the rat ) and Viktor ! yes i was like " oh shit it's Viktor ! " for the third episode you're in for a treat, i won't spoil anything but i think you should know something before watching it because it will add more emotion to it, Powder's in game name is JINX you will know why watching the third episode, the rest of the characters are just in the lore not in the game itself, i hope this cleared some things up !

Fernando Lahude

Finally I got your patreon, had to download paypal haha

Edward Of DOOM

Awesome deductive reasoning at the end of the episode there, Luke! As we have stated many times before (not to beat a dead horse) these were released in 3 episode arcs so people could watch 3 at a time, digest them, discuss them, come to their own conclusions, then await the next arc. I look forward to finishing this arc with you NEXT Friday *painful smirk attempted*

Fernando Lahude

Violet decided to turn herself off because she was the only one the magic-scientist guy saw in the invasion before he passed out.

TigerX

I played LoL like 5-7 years ago for a couple of months, so I was skeptical about the series, but because of you I might watch it, waiting for new episode from you is too much of a cliffhanger, I want to know what happens next :D

Miklar Sihn

On the fingernail thing. You fingernail grows at the "bottom" towards your fingertip. If you have ever had a fingernail ripped off, which hurts like hell both during and after, your nail will grow back starting at the bottom and slowly push towards the fingertip.

MJ Eid

Tip bro. Listen to the end credit songs even through the credits. You wont regret it. some of them even the next one hit hard.

Nepherenia

Regarding fingernails: It grows from the cuticle (the little line at the base of the nail closest to the knuckle - if you paint your nail, you can watch the nail grow from the base.

Eric Brose

17:15 - Glad to see that you are thinking about the show lmao

Uladzimir Lykshyn

League players and everyone else are on the same page with Arcane. You really can't tell who are playable champions, every character is well designed in this show.

Mikropp

i'll just throw this out there since you keep mentioning that you're interested in the world of league of legends..... i guess it can also serve as a warning for the kind of rabbit hole you're closing in on... on youtube there is a channel by the name of Necrit he makes videos about league lore... to give an idea of how much there is in total to the league universe well he has made over 500 videos xD... if you just wanna go through the most popular stuff and not dive into every detail then i'd say there is about 70-100 videos or so worth checking out xD there is afterall more than 150+ characters in the game and they all (except like 5.... tehe) have an extensive background ^^ if you're interested in more info about it all or have questions feel free to pm me and i'll help all i can there is alot of awesome stuff but yea take it at your pace cus there is as said alot too xD although i'd personally love seeing you react to more league stuff

The Talanton

A general note on the symbolism without relying on the in-universe justifications and descriptions for it. "Blue stone/crystal power" is Arcane energy, and in modern Western cinema and gaming, blue is typically the energy of pure magic/the light side/clean power. "Purple ooze power" is Shimmer, and in the same overarching context, that shade of purple is "the color of corruption." Lightning and bruises.

Jacob

To clarify on what it means in league to have abilities there really isn't one power system, there is a little girl who fused with a god and can travel between realities and shoot stars and also a masked serial killer with a gun obsessed with the number 4 so the "abilities" are kinda whatever the game wants. Also if you want to dive deeper into the lore, there is a universe tab on the league of legends website that has an interactive map, comics, and short animations.

Clotilde Ries

Haha yes your WHOLE fingernail grows from the pink part to the white part out. If you have some sort of little injury an the nail you can watch it grow out. Same goes for your hair xDD

Matias Dautel

Just so you know, every episode as a song/music video with music made for the series and as far as I know Riot doesn't really enforce copyright infringement on youtube for their music (other than the Worlds 2015 song for some reason)

MAH1RO

The name is "Vi" (short form for "Violet"). And well, about half of the important characters of the show are champions in LoL, but its really nice that for most of them you don't really recognize who is and who not. Because they put their effort into every character, the champions from LoL and the ones just for the show. And Arcane shows the way of how some of them developed to become the characters we know from the game.

Travis

the "its viktor" scene was a very hype moment yes. that announcement had some feelings behind it for sure. the names that really matter when youre talking about playable characters from the game to remember are VI, powder, jinx, caitlyn, jayce, ekko, and viktor to name a few that you will recognize.

Chyro Nighthowler

Heh. Think I missed this detail the first times I watched. The children's toy (like a rubics cube) that Karma picks up and says 'good' when the other guy explains that its a toy for children. Then hands it to the old councilor as a birthday gift and says 'only the brightest minds can solve it' xD

RenegadeSamurai

It's Mel not Karma xD Karma is from Ionia and Mel from Noxus, so this doesn't make sense^^

Dethrox

how did you came to that conclusion.. ? :DD dont tell me its cause she have dark skin..
