I love the fact that Attack on Titan never lied to it's audience. All of it is hidden in plain sight and falls right into place when rewatching it.

Ref Wall Religion. You say they were built by humans. Well, sure. But don't you think it's ODD that 3 massive walls were built 1. BEFORE Titans showed up (who knew ahead of time) or 2. AFTER the Titans showed up. This is a world with, at best, 19th century technology. I haven't even seen a railroad. How could they be built WHILE humanity is being destroyed by rampaging Titans? This is a construction bigger (in terms of mass) the US Interstate Highway System and it got built in a year or two?

Thank you. I only watch BTS. But I appreciate you post on Patreon 😁

Attack on Titan in 9 minutes is a comedy edit of season 1. While it is quite funny and I highly recommend it, there are some potential spoilers, so you should wait until after season 2, should you choose to watch it. Additionally, the other episodes people are telling you to watch are called OVAs, and are episodes that do not add anything to the plot, though they do greatly expand the lore and backstories of certain characters. Whether or not you watch them is totally up to you, however, if you do choose to watch them, Google 'Attack on Titan OVA watch order' so you know when is the best time to watch each one. Anyway, keep up the great vids and by the time you read this, I'm sure you're already excitedly waiting to start season 2.

Awwww, Marlow is the best! You seemed confused by the actions of the main military police members? It's already been suggested that those best at fighting (top 10 cadets in each class are the only ones eligible to join the military police), are those furthest from the fighting. So, why wouldn't those same people then get used to the cushy life, take it easy, find ways to cheat the system and overall be corrupt? Esp when their leader, Nile Dok, has no backbone. (He's the one that wanted to execute Eren in the courtroom). He's pretty to look at, but overall useless.

'Attack on Titan in 9 minutes' is a parody comedy recap of season 1. It is worth a watch as it's hilarious, but not till you're at the end of season 1. The other storylines worth checking out are the OVA's (Original Video Animation), which are about 24 minutes long each- same as a normal episode. Actually; looking on Australia's Crunchyroll; the episodes are called 'OAD's'. Not sure what platform you're watching on, if it has the OVA's, or if they are called OVA's on there or not. But they are coming up separate from the AOT series and movies on Aus Crunchyroll. Hope that helps. The two to watch are called: Ilse's Notebook: Memoirs of a scout regiment member, No Regrets Part 1 & 2 The ones that are SAFE to watch are: Distress, The Sudden Visitor: The torturous curse of youth, Lost Girls: Lost in the Cruel World The two-parter NOT safe to watch is: Lost Girls: Wall Sina, Goodbye

PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT LUKE After finishing season 1 you should watch the 'No Regret' OVA, it is made of two episodes, after that watch ONLY EPISODE 1 of season 2. Then watch the 'Ilse's notebook' OVA, then you can watch the rest of season 2 normally. Trust me, this order of episodes will give you the best possible watching experience.

Rich

how has no one said it's 25 episodes not 24 in this season lmao

Watch order: - SEASON ONE - Ilse’s Notebook OVA - The Sudden Visitor: The Torturous Curse of Youth OVA - Distress OVA - No Regrets – Episodes 1 and 2 OVA - SEASON TWO - Wall Sina, Goodbye – Episodes 1 and 2 OVA - SEASON THREE - Episodes 1 to 12 - Lost in the Cruel World OVA - SEASON THREE - Episodes 13 to finale - SEASON FOUR

Anders Pike

Can confirm this is correct, but I would say it's better to watch Ilse's notebook AFTER the first episode of season 2. It doesn't actual spoil anything per se, but I think the impact is better in that order. Also Ilse's Notebook and No Regrets are the only two I'd say are essential. The others are good but have less bearing on characterization and worldbuilding. And I say that being a big fan of Wall Sina, Goodbye.

Love your reactions. I was waiting for you to get to this episode to see that you were right lol can't wait for you to see the next episode!

Ando

Loving your reactions man! There are 25 episodes in season one so you still have 2 episodes to go until the finale! Also do not forget before the credites scene in last episodes. Basically if you don't see "to be continued" at the end of the episode, it means that there is an after credit scene

Breanne

I have seen up till the most recent season (not the most recent season, but up to it) and I'm really loving watching these episodes with you. A lot of info went straight over my head and I didn't understand a lot that really happened while trying to connect pieces. I think I watched one season with my brother and he looked over at me at a moment and he was like 'why aren't you reacting???? you're supposed to be gasping right now!!!' LOL so I missed a lot of puzzle pieces apparently hahahaha. So I'm loving hearing you talk about your theories and connecting pieces out loud. Thank you for the videos as always!

Lmao, I love the “NO!” at the cliffhanger. They tried to get Annie underground so she couldn’t transform. In the experiment with Eren in the well Hange learnt that you need sunlight to be able to transform as titans get energy via a form of photosynthesis.

Juli

didnt they said in earlier episodes that the walls were always there? i dont remember them ever mentioning that someone built the walls

Tyler Rimmel

Annie didn't sneak off. She's military police, not survey core. She is not in their unit so she was not with them when they went beyond the walls.

Dist

Seems like you missed the part, when Armin explained, that he detected Marco's gear on Annie on the day 2 captured titans were killed

I’d say there are at least five ways they’d know or suspect her to be the female titan. 1. They say it would most likely have to be someone from the 104th training corps. 2. They also say i’d have to be someone who saw eren leave his titan form when he first transformed. 3. She just looks like the female titan and the anime points this out at some point. 4. she’s in a different regiment, a particularly lazy and uncaring one at that, so her disappearance for a bit wouldn’t raise too many alarms. 5. She had marcos maneuver gear around the time sawney and bean were killed. Those are just a couple off the top of my head. hope i helped. also i have a neat thing i want to point out about what i think annie means when she says that whole thing about wanting the weak to be apart of humanity too. I think she considers herself weak. when eren and the gang confronts her she says she’s a weak girl but i don’t think she means physically or even mentally weak but when she was talking with marco they are referring to weak people in the sense of just going with the flow and i think she considers herself to be weak as in she just goes with the flow and does what others tell her to and by saying that she just means she wants her and people like her to just be considered apart of humanity and be allowed to do what they want and still be respected and all that. i’d go into more detail but i would wanna risk spoiling anymore than i already have.

Wolfi

Dude, all of that was explained in next episode -_-

Ishtar1339

Her fighting style, too.

Karman Wilmot

The partial sentence of the day is!........"You fucking-". Lol. You were really struggling huh😆?

Natasha Sullivan

Obviously it's been a while. But, did you hear the part where Armin knew something early on was up with her? because she submitted Marco's gear for inspection instead of her own. because she'd used her own to kill the 2 Titans. So, he knew something was up. So when he saw her in titan form during the mission. I think it was cemented for him. So yes, this whole thing was planned out. Because he'd figured it out. And told everyone else

Flair

Theres a bunch of clues and eliminators too it. 1. It had to be someone that was present at Trost. Thats not a small as you think though. It essentially could be anyone that survived Trost, which is the entire years cadet core + Trost's Garrison. 2. It most likely (although technically not absolute) that they weren't a member of the expedition and therefore was someone that didn't join the scouts. That doesn't eliminate many people to be honest, as the Trost Garrison are obviously not part of the scouts, and the majority of the cadets from that year did not join the scouts. Most went to the Garrison and a few to the MPs. 3. Armin is working on the idea that the female titan is like the other two vastly different titans we have met (asides from Eren) the Collosus and the Armored. Since they had not be sighted before Shingashina, if one of them had infiltrated the military it would have been after then and therefore would be new recruits. This elimiates it down to just the cadet core. 4. Someone killed the captured Titan's. Armin noticed Annie presented Marco's gear for inspection when that inspection took place rather then her own. No other people we found to have used gear. Annie obviously also has her own gear that was not presented. That makes its likely she killed the Titans. 5. Due to Armin already being suspicious of her due to point 4, it led to two things happening during the Female Titan attack. a.) Armin confirms it was someone who was part of thier training group by stopping her dead in her tracks by shouting about that suicidal maniac. Only someone in thier group with be aware those words meant Eren. b.) I think he also just has that same moment you do. Because his already thinking about them being people, someone that he knows and being suspicious of Annie, he realised that the Female Titan looks a hell of a lot like Annie. Being smart as he is, he probably then realised that when Eren transforms it also bears some sort of resembelance to Eren, adding a bonus point to his thought. Also, the reason they were taking her underground was to stop her transforming. The same reason Eren is always imprisoned in underground cells, due to the cramped space it makes transforming impossible/extremly dangerous and unreliable. EDIT: Also, Annie is suspicious from the start because she knows how clever Armin is. She puts the ring on before she even starts following him.
