Hot take: I think Gurenge is the weakest Opening of DS. I don't think the song is bad, but it's not that good either. Even the 2nd Opening by LiSA is better, it's darker, has better vibe, i love the melody and the instruments use (it has also that Type-Moon sound, like it could fit into Fate series, which i love aswell). In my order they go like this: Mugen=Kizuna no Kiseki>Zankyousanka>Akeboshi>Gurenge.

I believe you did almost all of the fate/zero and fate UBW openings, I think missed the 1st Fate UBW OP, but you never reacted to any of their EDs and skipped all of them when you watched the series.

I agree with you that Demon Slayer's been a great journey so far. The story is simple, but that just leaves more room for you to get attached to the characters. Despite being a simple story there was also plenty of twists and lots of stuff to speculate and make theories about (which I love doing). Really looking forward to getting this next arc, since I want to see what happens! Will be fun to see if any of my theories were right, or if I'm just totally wrong. Demon Slayer isn't my favourite anime but it's definitely fantastic and one I'd recommend to anyone.

naaah they did good leaving it in for people like who even i see a spoiler it makes me look forward to it more. i have had alot of animes i have come back to after seeing the amv, fight scene, or some random scene that made me say ok i need to watch this now. plus even i saw him i would have no idea who he is or if he was a upper moon or not let alone which one.

this is one of those things where Luke is not recognizing his bias as he is now watching the opening with the context of the movie he has already seen. The thing with spoilers is they generally require context and without that context people are not generally going to remember or be able to draw the parallel in real time between the story and the abstract scene they saw in an opening. Also that opening was actually released long after the movie release. That opening was created for the show version of the movie that came way after the movie had already been released.

i actually like LiSA's first take gurenge version much much more. She's a phenomenal singer, and while it IS a hot take for Gurenge opening, it IS famous for a reason, and it's because it's a bit of an ear worm vs the other ones. You recognize it immediately for the first few notes. I still like the First Take version solo vocalist version more though:)

The thing about these 60fps re-edits of openings, if when you’re uploading a video and it takes more time and effort to bypass and defeat copyright detection than it took to make the video in the first place, then maybe the person should take the hint and not upload it.

It's funny, the first 2 or 3 times I heard OP 4, I disliked it, but over time after that, I grew to love it, and I have it on the top of my list for OPs now lol
