Blood+, to this day, remains my #1 favorite anime of all time. Colors of the Heart by UVERworld is still in my top 10 favorite anime intro's as well.

I think you would like Blood+. It is an older anime, and is completely finished. If I were to make a broad comparison to something you've already watched, it does have a few similar elements to Parasyte. If I say anymore it would probably be a spoiler.

I have watched anime for 20+ years and seen hundreds of anime and somehow I haven't seen blood+ yet... I need to put it on my list to watch it before I die. My life is basically 1/3 worth living because i want to consume more anime.
