I don't know about Japan, but at least where I'm from, we don't have TVs in our room. Watching TV is a family thing, so there is only 1 TV in the living room. But everyone got a PC in their rooms. Judging from the anime i've seen, they follow the same trend.

I'm convinced that the dust/spores bit is a reference to Studio Ghibli's first movie "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind". Would be nice if something so iconic that it influences other anime didn't consistently get ignored in every single movie vote! (Barely anyone in twitch chat care about the classics, no shade towards you, Luke)

To answer your question if the story goes further into the process of them becoming a notable band; yes it does. Without saying too much; currently in the manga they are saving up money to buy a band van so they can play at more clubs than STARRY without needing to drag a bunch of equipment through public transit.

My interpretation/headcanon is that After being exposed to a lot of Bocchi time, others just go along with it and make their own impro comedy. Aka Bocchi doesn't turn to ash and just freezes up and the other two just pretend she turned into ash, infecting their lungs and they act like a downer on purpose. Btw, there is a compilation of every time Bocchi dies.
