Here is the FULL and UNBLURRED reaction to Eureka Seven Openings!!

Enjoy!!

Comments

Cedrick Buendia

Luke, please react to kuroko no basket openings or the asterisk war openings.

Spat1000

Thankyou for reacting to this!

Palemlem

Please listen to the Black Butler Openings NANA Endings and Paradise Kiss Opening and Ending

Jc

Oh hell yeah, now you gotta react to the endings. They're super good as well

seansky

Omg really!?!?!? Man these are one of the first songs I ever had on my anime playlist list…. Had the original soundtrack CD too hahaha

Nicholas Le

OP 1 is Days by FLOW, you’re correct.

Moriyasha01

Openings and endings from dropkick on my devil please

Spikà

Eureka Seven is fantastic. And the 4th opening is by far my favorite.

Shymonk

It is a fantastic anime, I would love to see You react to it.

seansky

I just can’t pick a favorite tbh…. Hell all its OST kicks ass. The anime is super fun and dark and emotional and it’s one of the more original mech idea. One my very favorite older anime. They made a sequel for it, I gave it a taste but it just didn’t live up to the feel of the old one for me….. might just be a nostalgia thing. Didn’t finish and pretending it didn’t exist lol.

Bersain Balbuena

Good openings that you haven't seen yet: INU X BOKU SS KIMI NI TODOKE HIGASHI NO EDÉN SEIKAISURU KADO KIZNAIVER ROBOTIC NOTES SHINGEKI NO BAHAMUT BECK PING PONG THE ANIMATION GATCHAMAN CROWDS EUREKA SEVEN ( OST STORYWRITER) TIGER AND BUNNY ANOHANA KYOUSOGIGA ISEKAI OJISAN SAKAMOTO DESU GA? YAMADA-KUN TO 7-NIN NO MAJO MONOGATARI SERIES SAYONARA ZETSUBOU SENSEI BLOOD + AIR GEAR GOD OF HIGHSCHOOL FREEDOM (This is love) FLCL (OST RIDE ON SHOOTING STAR)

Bersain Balbuena

How good the group Nirgilis was, they have many good old school anime songs, how I miss them 🥲

Spat1000

Sent you a dm on here with more detail on the anime without any spoilers

TheMightyAnt

God damnit now I gotta watch eureka seven again

Bersain Balbuena

I didn't like the sequel, I prefer to stay with the old one. As soon as I heard that they gave the same Holland voice to the adult renton I left it.

CurseMark4Life

On your comments about tons of characters in anime being young. It's because anime typically is targeting a young demographic, so of course they're going to make relatable characters.

Bersain Balbuena

If you are referring to the openings of the 2020 version, it already has a video of that. I don't know if you're talking about the old version.

Explorian

Here are my 5 + 2 classic recommendations for your next OP & ED reactions: 1. (2004) Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha OP & ED (with 5 series, 4 movies and 2 games; OPs & some movie EDs sung by that era's anisong queen: Mizuki Nana) 2. (2000) Vandread OP & ED (fire retro 90s/00s songs)(check out the EDs for cheekiness) 3. (2011) Horizon in the middle of Nowhere OP & ED 4. (2003) Chrono Crusade OP & ED 5. (2011) Anohana OP & ED Special mention: (2008) Macross Frontier ED & insert (esp the EDs like "Diamond Crevasse" & "Northern Cross" are a MUST! and their longer forms!, insert songs: Ao no Ether, Yousei) classic 1. (2000) Inuyasha OP & ED 2. (1996) Rurouni Kenshin (the 1996 series) OP & ED

Devon Gilliam

One of the first anime I ever remember watching. S-cry-ed and Project ARMS are the other two I have vivid memories of watching when I was really young.

Craig A

The anime is basically a coming of age story centered around a boy named renton, who misses his sister who disappeared. As a naive young boy, he finds his first love, a girl, Who he finds out might have clues to finding his sister. So he sets off on a journey, not knowing what the world is really like and what he will have to do to survive it. Believing in his love for a girl, and his mission to find his sister, he tries to come to terms that the people, the girl, and the world that he thought he knew when he first set off as a boy from a small town, are not what he imagined and thought them to be.

PSadlon

Tensura has more than a few older/adult main characters except maybe Shuna. Requesting Blood+ again

Jeff

This show is such a classic - one of those gems for sure.😁

Cedrick Buendia

Unfortunately he still doesn't react to the things that i mentioned, but i hope soon he will.

Maltheus

Reminding you to react to Tragedy:Eternity and Door from Re:Zero

StrykerEvol

Holy... I never noticed the similarity back then. But now that you mention it, the ship does kinda look like mix of a Romulan Valdore-type Warbird and a Klingon Vor'Cha class attack cruiser.

DevDSilver

ah one of my favourite classics

Maltheus

@Kobury Yeah, probably my favourite of the Re:Zero insert songs tied with Straight Bet.

Kobury

You don't have enough older audience to vote for series with older main characters xD

Linikins

Man, we really need to get Luke to watch some mecha. Code Geass doesn't really count because that one's popular not because it's mecha but despite being mecha.

Guido Muñoz

op 3 was so copyright heavy that even patreon couldn't handle it LUL

Venn

If you want a spoiler free synopsis then ill give you what the DVD and blu ray box says : "It's the greatest love story ever animated!". Story telling and world building is on the same level as FMA despite being diffrent genres plus both sub and dub are good

Venn

I think Ao was just as good but people don't seem to be happy that things cant just end so happy go lucky. I like the fact that there's consequences in place

slipstride

I think you'd love both this and gundum iron blooded orphans based off of your love for sci-fi

DevDSilver

also the reason 98% of characters in anime are young is japan is obsessed with stories with youth most ranging from middle to high school and rarely elementary or college. shounen and shoujo meaning young boy and young girl are the most popular and over saturated genres while seinen and josei meaning young male and young woman while still love are so small in comparison to shounen to the point it is niche. for this reason outside of japan for those who want more mature characters they tend to read/ watch korean or chinese series since they tend to have more focus on adult characters mostly.

ModernHog

OMG!!! I wasn't expecting you to react to this!!! Eureka Seven is one of my favourite anime, so this was cool to see! I think you'd love the show itself, too! It's got some very chill and fun surfer-type vibes but there's a lot of interesting things that happen. I really think you'd get a kick out of it! Definitely watch it someday, for sure!

Rei

I absolutely love Eureka Seven, it's my de facto favourite Anime of all time, so I'm super happy you've reacted to the openings. I hope it'll win one of the anime tournaments so you can watch it, just don't watch any variation of sequels/alternatives of the series, we don't do that here, especially AO

Andy Hinton

Holyyyyy wow, finally you reacted to this. Thank you, this my favorite anime and the one that really got me into anime. You would love this anime!!!. Eureka Seven is a Mech, coming of age but more of a mature coming of age, with light romance.

StrykerEvol

Since you mentioned it. There is a good old anime which heavily focuses on environment, pollution, consumption culture, social manipulation and similar heavy topics. Thinking back on it, that anime was definitely way ahead of it's time. The anime in question is called "Earth Maiden Arjuna" (Chikyū Shōjo Arujuna). It's a 12 episode anime from 2001.

Andy Hinton

It actually came in 2nd place in a tournament he did already. Has not been in another since.

Andy Hinton

First opening is Days by FLOW

Andy Hinton

Eureka Seven 2005 Eureka Seven: Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers (first movie) 2009 Eureka Seven Ao (second series) Eureka seven HI-Evolution(three movie trilogy) 2017,2018,2021

Lichmourne

Eureka 7 was either my 2nd or 3rd anime I'd ever seen as a kid and has a special place in my heart. It's what catapulted me into binging every anime out at the time because I needed more of THAT. God it's story is so special and showcased to me how unique anime story could be.

yuzu hibiki

Requesting all of world trigger op and ed

seansky

Good summary, tho I do observe if you go to CR and select Seinen genre, a lot of them still depict younger protagonists. It usually refers to the themes and level of maturity of the material rather than how old the characters are, which was specifically what Luke was referring to. One good example of a show with mainly mature characters is Ghost in The Shell, hopefully Luke gets to watch that one day.

Nikkelz

FINALLY! THANK YOU LUKE! If you do check out the endings (#3 is my bias) Please also check out the OST Storywriter aswell) Yes the first opening was flow that was a good catch and you're probably thinking of a klingon bird of prey I've though it myself in the past. The energy the show gives off is similar to code geass, A lot of dark elements mixed with small bouts of levity and mystery thrown in for you to piece together. Also the young lead trope is usually more present in shounen (Young boy) anime which you'll encounter a lot. If you want more anime centered around adults you need to watch more seinen anime (young man) like psycho pass they also tend to be darker themed. The last song is by Nirgilis that has done quite a few songs in anime. You've seen deadman wonderlands OP but Nirgilis has done another song for it aswell as Birdy the Decode which is another OP I'd highly recommend.

Nikkelz

Didn't know it made it on any tourneys would love to see Luke react to it. Though with the similarities with code geass I hope the comments keep civil if he does XD

Nikkelz

As a bias observer to AO I didn't think the series was the worst but when we heard there was going to be a continuation at first I was super excited for more Eureka and Renton but once we found out the lead was different it just hit less. If it had instead of trying to do a "passing of the torch" had just taken any random character in the universe and wanted to continue world building people would most likely have received it better.

Hiruman

One of the better mecha anime. Which doesn't say much because 90% of them sucks lol

Zer0

Main character in Kaiju No. 8 is 32. Light is 23 at the end of Death Note. Uncle from another World, Main Character is 34. Yōji Itami from GATE is 33.

Zer0

Luke catches 17:57 but misses 3:02.

Vicente Gómez

For any Eureka fans wondering, it's not just good because of the nostalgia. Watched it not too long ago and it is one of the best stories I've ever experienced

Chavakun

Yes first one is flow

rostikowb

If you take the anime you've seen, for example: - The main character in Overlord is not young. - Also MC from Mushoku Tensei is 40+ years old, - Frieren is 1000+ years old (lol), - MC from Solo Leveling seems to be 25+ years old - MC from Spy x Family (Lloyd) is an adult - MC from Gate is an adult - Saitama from One Punch Man etc. You probably saw more, but I'm tired of counting :) There are also 2 anime coming out right now, one of which (Kaiju #8) the main character is 30+ years old, and in the other one he is 70+ years old. I think there are quite a few anime where the main characters are older than students, but I agree that most of them are about children

DevDSilver

true and yes i do hope he watches that at some point it is a very good classic

Abraham Perez

Considering that Code Geass amd Eureka 7 are both made by the same studio, you should get the similar vibes

charlymoon

I haven't seen this anime but I saw the openings before and when I watched opening 3 what I noticed on the "evil" pilot is hesitation, they probably know the main characters and doesn't really wanna hurt them is what I get

rostikowb

I did the math, and among the anime Luke watched, the percentage of MCs of school age is about 85%

Varnius

Luke, since you liked the 4th OP also check these other anime songs made by NIRGILIS: - Tetsuwan Birdy Decode OP - D. Gray Man ED1 - Deadman Wonderland ED

U87PM

Please react to the Land of the Lustrou op & ed

Zack Shumate

Here are 2 romcom anime that are about adult office workers: - Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, https://www.amazon.com/Wotakoi-Love-Hard-Otaku/dp/B07C3WL3VP - My Senpai is Annoying, https://www.crunchyroll.com/series/GP5HJ815K/my-senpai-is-annoying Also, that Wotaqkoi op is amazing and worth reacting to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjHqfhOcK_0 My Senpai is Annoying's op is good as well but not as good as Wotakoi's in my opinion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXtfzKaKr4I

Facio

This reminder me to request the Last Exile OPs, there's only 2 but they're interesting

Guymelef

YAY! May I suggest the following website to find more obscure openings: https://animethemes.moe/ . Youtube takes some of the older ones down. Sousei no Aquarion and Tekkaman Blade (1992) have pretty cool openings

かもめのたまご

after 18-19 years still a masterpiece for me, hope you react to the show one day!

Andy Hinton

If you do end up watching this you must watch the Dub version! I'm my opinion it's alot better.

Justin Anderson

highly recommend, I can not say this enough, this one is a sleeper hit!

Kigeki

FizzyRamzy

If you have an interest in mecha anime, I think, you must watch Gundam 00 series. The storyline, OP - ED of the Gundam 00 is really great! Even the OVA is a masterpiece!

Kalbenus

Eureka Seven is such a great anime. The best song in the series, in my opinion, is an instrumental song called Get It by Your Hands. Brings back so much nostalgia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5T9Yygju9IY

Evertt

Luke, Momonga/Ains from Overlord was a working adult before it was isekai’ed. No “main character is a high-schooler/child” in that anime.

Ristaroth

Chihayafuru openings and Land of the Lustrous openings next would be great . Both great animes! ❤️

MegumiMary

This anime is amazing and should not be slept on!

FabledJarl

The amount of elation that I felt seeing this video posted… Luke, thank you for reacting to these openings of one of my favorite anime.

anime boss

The plot is quite complex and the story is quite emotional but its a good show

thewizardninja

In this episode, Luke discovers that anime aimed at young boys tend to follow the stories of young boys.

Ty L

Anime with plenty of adults - Legend of Galactic Heroes

Zardh

Yes the First OP is Flow music name DAYS

Docz

Check out Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans or Gundam 00 if you’re interested in some solid mecha anime. Both are in their own timeline so they’re solid entry points.

MrGrimReaper

plz react to Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans
