The bones over the city are behemoth's. And we did see one last episode (it was big white creature, casually walking on a desert in background). About your question of what would happen if Rudy stayed in university. It is answered later in LN, so it may be answered in anime when it will get to that point, so you just need to wait for now.

Keep in mind that the reunion between Roxy and Rudy is something exceptional. From the moment they separated, fate seemed to have arranged for them to never meet again, like when they were in the same city but they always went their separate ways. If you think about it, they shouldn't have met now either.

The book Rudy took with him is not some random book. It was the book Sylphy recommended him to read in episode 5 of season 2 when he told her he's researching teleportation incident shortly after he came to magic university. Book is about teleportation labirynth, since city Rapan is know for labirynths he decided it might be useful

But as you are right now, you can already guess some concequences if he decided to stay. You just have to think about what happen in this episode and what if ruddy was not there.

They may explain Roxys monthlong adventure down there in the next episode, so not gonna spoil it (There's a Roxy POV in the books before Rudy saves her), but no, she did not just stand there fighting for a month straight. Even if she could physically withstand it, which she cannot, her mana pool would've drained quite a few times during such a fight, so she has to have had downtime to recover during the battle. Also, it's a bit up in the air how "convenient" things are here. Remember, Rudy found that book by Hitogami instruction...

Three things to know: Rudeus is actually meant to be the same height as Paul, but for some reason, the production team forgot to make him taller. Also, in the LN, Rudeus actually smells Roxy. That's how he found her. One last thing, you will find out about the other choice the Man God gave Rudeus (to marry one of the beast girls). It's gigantosaurous spoilers and related to a VERY VERY VERY important part of the story and turning point 4. But you won't find it out for another 3 or 4 years until the next season comes out.

The skeleton of the city is from a creature called Behemoth and it was shown in the previous chapter, it is the white creature that looked like a turtle and moved on the background of Rudeus and Elinalise, this creature reaches a diameter of 100 meters to 1 kilometer, even so it is a very quiet and not at all violent creature while not attacking it and they are very difficult to kill because of how resistant and massive they are

The 2 girls you didn't recognize are 2 sisters, Vierra and Shierra. Shierra is the one who's almost hiding behind her hair and is traumatized because she and her sister ended up as slaves after the teleportation incident. Vierra then started wearing bikini armor for a while when they were saved by Paul and joined him, so that male looks focus on her and not on women like Shierra who are scared of/traumatized by them.

As others have said the bones the city was built under is from a creature called a Behemoth. A live one was visible in a background last episode walking in the same direction as Rudy and Elen-a-leez-A. It was the white turtle looking thing. As for Eris, not a spoiler but there was a hint as to where she was and what she was doing in last cour, specifically in the Episode titled The Fiancé of Disaster. You would just have to put the pieces together.

Paul did not plan to sleep with Lilia until he met with Zenith. But when they were travelling through the desert, he was affected by the succubus. Shierra, the girl with gloomy face, could use detoxification magic but she was too terrified of paul in a lustful state, as shes had trauma from being a sex slave and victim of multiple rapes before she was rescued by paul. So they had no other choice but to have paul do it with Lilia to cure his condition. People affected by the scent of succubus can actually die if they dont detoxify or do it. The Dwarf guy who was looking at Rudeus is actually gay so he was not affected by succubus. (Plot convenience you can say). Also the girl Vierra which Luke recognizes from her previous outfit, she was wearing that outfit for a reason. She is the elder sister of Shierra. Shierra has very bad trauma and earlier she use to get terrified even if a man just looked at her. So Vierra wore that outfit to get the attention of all men around them and protect her sister.

By the whay the book vas not an anime convenience if you remember the Director of the School gave him that book with another one saying he can take it on his journey. As an old knoledgable mage he probably knew it could come handy considering where Rudy was going

Im pretty sure they will cut Roxy's POV. He struggle with fighting monsters was pretty much all we are getting. You can see some subtle scenes modified, like Elinalise not revealing to paul that she is Slyphy's grandmother so rudeus just has the inner monologue about it. Likewise I think they will do a small dialogue where Roxy will fail to recognize Rudeus at first but then they will move on.

I'm surprised this is all moving so fast. I was sure Ghislaine and Eris were going to be there too, but I guess without teleportation they're half a year away most likely. Which means either there's going to be big complications that delay things in the future, or we're not seeing them here at all and we'll bump into them somewhere else? Also asking for help that's months away would be so awkward to deal with, since if you found Zenith before the help got there what do you do? Just leave someone in that area for like a year, just to let anyone that shows up to help that the problem has been solved? Seems extremely inconvenient, thank goodness we have phones / internet now. Maybe Rudy can make magical communication one day, that'd be nice.

The book wouldn't tell you not to use fireballs in a labyrinth just as a guide to the Grand Canyon wouldn't tell you not to drive over the edge. (although guide books might do that!)

When I was reading the light novel I was sus of the man god but I was unsure of what was his goal. It was really on volume 12 that I went from "he is sus" to "he is a piece of shit". But hey he is doing a fantastic job by tricking people, it will make turning point 4 a great experience for a lot lof people.

(I've seen many people from US/UK butcher many names that are so easy to pronounce ._., what's about the language that makes it hard to say elinalise)

I guess spoiler I never trusted the man god and it was mostly because rudy was suspicious at the beginning but then when he got the demon eye I thought rudy would choose meeting roxy over getting a demon eye.

Start at the beginning of vol 13 if you want to pick it up where it leaves off. Otherwise, starting from the beginning isn't a bad idea since the anime leaves out A LOT.

Someone a few episodes ago mentioned how the man god is a bad guy and geese is one of his disciples, saying that he (Luke) could probably guess by now that Hitogami had bad intentions. Definitely the worst spoiler I've seen in the comments for the series. I fucking hate people like that.

probably it just has to do with the way english speakers make the sounds of the words (pronunciation) for me that spanish is my mother tongue, there are some words in english that i find hard to pronounce because i have not practiced that much how to make that sound but with the japanese since its almost the same phonetically as spanish its really easy to pronounce things

The city was built in the remains of a Behemoth; the big ReZero white whale lookin thing you saw last episode. Except a MASSIVE ONE. The book being there actually makes a lot of sense. Rudy wasn't sure about using the teleportation circles so he brought one of the few remaining books about teleportation with him. Just so happens that its an account of the labyrinth. Funny how the man-god told him to research teleportation at the university and this book is what the result was. Also, the elf's name is pronounced Eh-Lean-Uh-Lease. Rudy sent letters but it takes 6 months for an express emergency communication to reach Rudy so it can take almost a year or more for a regular non-express letter to reach Paul. The book only details the actual labyrinth, not the basics for labyrinth exploring. Essentially its a not a beginners guide, its a specific manual. They unfortunately had to skip over a lot with Roxy. She's basically been living in a hole for a month occasionally trying to get out only to be teleported back to the hole. She's been fighting but now the monsters caught on to the hole so she's trapped. Finally after I think 40 something episodes, Roxy is back. Now we just need to see Eris again. Possible mld spoiler (no specifics) for an arc that wont be animated for many many years but there is an allusion to what could have happened if Rudy stayed and ended up with the beast girls.

You did see one of those giant creatures alive, it was a behemoth, the white huge thing that was walking in the BG on last episode. Although that was a smaller one. They rushed many things, but after focusing on many details, he realized that a wall had a different color than the rest of the earth. That was because earth created by magic had different coloration than natural earth. The Mud Skull (golem looking creature) had created an "Earth Wall" to block the entrance to the room where Roxy was trapped. Once Rudy got close, he got a bit of her scent, then screamed "FATHER! I CAN SENSE GOD NEARBY!" and started punching holes through walls sensing that he needed to act quickly. The Book give us Roxy's POV but the Drama CD gives us Rudy's POV.

In case you don't remember, now you can think back to season 1 when Roxy explains to Elinalise how she imagines meeting her Prince Charming: that was exactly what happens here ^^. So far, I think the pace of the "labyrinth arc" a little bit too fast. It's understandable, there aren't many episodes left to finish this arc before the end of the season, and you can feel that the studio is cutting a TON of content from the light novel and has to move fast in what it adapts. I think if they'd had 1 or 2 extra episodes in the season, the pace would have been more appropriate. But still, I'm fu#@in' loving this !

Mushoku Tensei does such a good job at just grabbing your emotions and play with them. I swear its just a rollercoaster. I already know what's gonna happen since I've read the LN but it still grabs my heart and plays with it cause of extra scenes they decide to add.

I have spent years with friends whose main language is English (and some people who study Languages as well) and it is well known that depending on your mother tongue, it will be easier for you to learn/speak other languages (phrases, names, etc). Spanish is one of the examples, since our language (Spanish in my case) forces us to use more our vocal cords than other languages, it is easier for us to pronounce words in another language. English speakers are not used to using their vocal cords in the same way, therefore, they struggle more trying to learn them or pronounce them, same thing happens with Japanese speakers when trying to say something in English, Spanish, etc. Of course, this differs for each person, but the handicap is already there. Using an analogy, a person that exercises and one that doesn't, if they see a body movement and they try to replicate it, it will be easier for the person that already exercises than for the other one that does no

Vol 13 and 14 are gonna blow you away. Likely the greatest plot twist in fiction, but I'm bias. All of the calm we've had for the past season fucking explodes. The calm before the storm type of thing. Those volumes are turning point 4 btw. The best turning point by far. You couldn't guess it if you spent a 1000 years theorizing what happens.

This is because in English there are no pronunciation rules, the same letters are pronounced differently, and if the letters are in a specific order, their pronunciation can change again, so they cannot read the name correctly from the English text, they need to hear it, and the Japanese cannot pronounce foreign names correctly, especially with the letter L. Therefore, in such cases, they cannot pronounce the name correctly either from the text or by ear. I am a native speaker of a language in which words are written the same way as they are read (similar to German), so we have no problem pronouncing something in subtitles

That skeleton in the beginning belongs to a monster Behemoth. We've seen it a little bit in a previous episode. That giant white creature walking in the same direction as Rudeus and Elinalise. The North God, Karuman The Second, and his companions killed the one in Lapan. Also, that city was founded because of the death of that creature.

I think they’ve set up that Paul is incredibly fine with asking Rudy for help in the fact that their fight in season one took place because Paul expected Rudy, who was like 10 at the time, to have gone around and found everyone after the mass teleportation.

the book is not exactly anime convenience, it was introduced very early, when the man god told him to go to the university and study teleportation magic, "Fitz" recommended that book to him, and when the Masked girl mentioned using teleportation circles as an option to get there faster, he was worried (because of what he went through the first time he got teleported) and decided to take the book for more information on the circles when he got to them in case of traps or malfunction and that is why he has the book

Fun fact about thr girl in the skimpy Armour that the anime skipped for time is that she and her sister were victims of the teliportation incident and were assaulted by men before they were rescued by Paul and because of that the shy/gloomy looking one is still scarred and terrified of men to the point if they even look at her she feels uncomfortable because of this her sister wore that extremely revealing Armour so that all the mens eyes would be on her and not on her sister to protect her.

Luke, something to keep in mind: I understand your thoughts on being the best parent you can be and why you think Rudy shouldn't have left. But to that, i'd like to remind you Rudy would have died on his own after the Teleportation Incident if it wasn't for Rujurd. And Rudy has seen that Paul (someone he looks up to for strength) has struggled so much just to get all of his family back together after the incident. Why is that important? Rudy KNOWS that if something like that happened again, he wouldn't be able to find all his family on his own quick enough. He would need to reach out to others who he's helped to help him. It just so happens some of the most capable people are his family. Helping them now ensures that they would return the favor /be there to help in the future. Rudy has also been fully over powered (it's been awhile but he knows he still doesn't stand a chance). He knows that Ornstiens not the only person capable of that. In those times when he's up against an enemy he knows he can't beat outright, an enemy he needs to defeat to keep his family safe, who would he turn to if he didn't save Paul and the others now? Rujurd maybe, but he knows Rujurd has a limit to what he can do on his own. Strength in numbers, intelligence gathering, etc would be far more helpful. So I see both of these as reasons for why Rudy SHOULD go. Because in doing so, he is doing what he needs to to protect HIS future family (his wife and kids) because he knows there are things in this world that he'd fail to stop on his own, even with his family on the line.

As for the Roxy scene: lets be honest - we all doing the same thing if theres bunch of giant maggots spiders and w/e else monsters coming at us About stuff going too good - remember Man-God said Rudy will regret going. We still dont know what that regret will be. Is it going to be finding Zenith dead or losing someone else he cares about from the party... or missing his kid's birth or even something bad happening with Sylphy... this still keeps me on edge

When it comes to what misfortune is going to befall Rudy to prevent him from making it back home in time, I think that there are two matters that are unresolved that could pose a problem. 1) When Rudy and Alinalise first come through the teleporter, Alinalise goes back to make sure that it works both way, she then returns with a time delay. Her and Rudy shrug it off assuming it is inconsequential. this seems like a prime example of where the mishap could occur when he tries to return home. Or this could simply be introducing the idea that teleports can have a time delay and in a dungeon full of them who knows how much time they could lose. 2) this one is a bit of a darker possibility. Early on Silphy mentions that the her being an elf and Rudy being a human could cause problems for conceiving a child. she even begrudgingly brings up the idea that Rudy might need to have a kid with some other consort. This combined with the man-god suggesting that Rudy stay and get it on with one of the beast girls leaves me concerned the Rudy could get back home just fine, only to find out that Silphy lost the baby.
