If you know Japanese a little you will notice the Prince uses Boku when he says I which is more for children or men that are not that confident. Thorfinn and others use Ore when they say I used buy more manly men. Women can also say Boku but they usually use Atashi.

You should definitely do the full version of Drown, it's so good. It has been said many times before, but you really need to watch episodes 23 and 24 together. It would flow so much better than finishing season 1 and starting season 2 back to back.

About the Thorfinn not looking like Thors thing, you're definitely right there. I don't look anything like my dad either, I'm a carbon copy of my granddad and great granddad on my mom's side. Also about Milet, you might already know this, but she lived in Canada for quite a while.

If i am not wrong, you missed to react this ending in the past, is my favorite song from Milet, and was the first time i heard her. Drown is a powerful ending. !!... is really good for the anime as well, basically when you go to deep into something you can drown on it.

I did say woman can also use Boku. I myself hear Atashi more than Watshi bc I heard the short hand versions when stationed in Japan. However they may just wanted to be cute.

Mentioning the fact that action is not as important as plot and character development every single episode makes it sound like you're coping. I absolutely do agree that action is secondary in this story but PLEASE stop hyping yourself up every episode with this same talk, we know. We love Vinland because it is a seinen and not another trashy battle shounen.

Notice that Askeladd always had a roman armor, it was even emphasized as some characters found the armor weird. The foreshadowing aside, it more or less shows that he really cares about his Welsh side.

Some of my early memories are of the rare snow falling in England, grass peaking through the thin white covering. Fun for a kid. Of course, then I moved to Canada and got more snow than I ever needed...

For Thorfinn it's not just that he inherited his mother's hair and fair appearance, but also he's been malnourished as hell. He went through his entire puberty on a battlefield. He had to scavenge and raid for food. He was a low ranking member and didnt get much. What he did get was usually not well processed or nicely cooked meals, but more like scraps of meat over a fire. He never got the nutrition to gain his father's size. Maybe in a better life he would have ended up as big as his dad.

I agree you should watch JoJo sometime soon. I love all the anime and the Manga just keep getting better. PART 7 and 8 are my favorite. Anime wise I love Part 2, 4 and 5 the most.
