Code Geass's success doesn't have anything to do with any YouTuber. From my PoV there are 2 major reasons why Code Geass is still so loved even after almost 20 years. It's because of Lelouch as a character and the finale of the show. Lelouch is a smart mc like Light from Death Note, but he also has his emotional side. He started everything for the purpose of creating a better world for Nunnally, but ended up with a whole organization that depends on him, and he accepted that burden. For instance, in these last few episodes, it is clear that he cares for other people, like Kallen. So while Light is more of 'smart cynical person', Lelouch is more of a 'human person' that is also very smart. Then the finale of Code Geass, is just one of the most unpredictable and perfect finales there is, so once you watch it you just don't forget it. Be it 10 or 20 years later.

Code Geass's success has nothing to do with any streamer or influencer. Probably for most people it's ending is what made it into one of the most memorable and loved anime.
