This render engine is beautiful but complex.
you all know I'm a visual guy, so I will not go into all the lengthy problems we faced as a team using Octane.

As you all see in these outdoors shots, after weeks of trial and error, she looks good, even hair works excellent, but it will take months to perfect this...

After initial testing of different engines like luxcore, we decided to try out Octane, since it was the best visually for us. Little did we know, all of these had swapped out the much advanced nodenetwork that made our work the way it was.

So everything had to be made from the ground up.

Some funny results where saved for later ideas and use like these.

After some days Njori was starting to look good.

Every tiny thing in the scene had to be rebuilt, even the eyes.

Here we figured out a good Sub surface scattering value from a tutorial online.
Some behind the scenes of how she ended up looking so good on screen.

Then we found a hidden bug in the mesh, it was a tricky one, butt all sorted out now.

Short - Its best for simple scenes and architecture visualization, not so good for strange fantasy scenarios.

So we headed back to using E-cycles for now until a better alternative comes along, or the author continues it.

I'm sorry for the delay, I really though we could surprice you all with some stellar artwork and animations in December.

I can't even imagine the complexity of the program you're working with to build this model! You have my respect!
