Lustgard Status Update - April 2021 (Patreon)

Hello old and new Lustgardians!

So many new residents of Lustgard!
Welcome and huge thanks for believing in me and Lustgard!
Your support helps me as an artist towards doing this full time and not part-time after my current job.

Today I wanted to show you what we have been struggling with as of late, and the new technology we are laying the groundwork for.

First off!

The mesh of "LGGF" (Lustgards Generic Female) - Njorijanna version (See video 1)
It was broken....
After 12 months of quick fixes, shortcuts and hasted bad choices to try and meet deadlines. It finally was enough, it was in dire need of maintenance.
So we decided to focus on fixing it once and for all, we have the money to buy the addons, scripts and tools needed for it now, and its soon completed.
Now LGGF has a brand new optimized mesh, a mesh that will work for a curvy woman like Njorijanna. It was required to have physics play the way we wanted. Good retopo is crucial for that kind of thing. And now it has been forged in the Lustgard fires to stand the test of time.

We experienced also many errors and corruptions on the way. (See end of video 1) At one point, we had such a bad corruption of data, we had to revert back 10 updates with our LGGF. Which is at probably version 5k about now to get it working again.
Blender threw so many curve balls at us that a real thorough cleanse of the main lggf file was the only way forward. This took much work and time to complete, as such a complex system like LGGF with Njorijanna is a house of cards. And we are humans, we forget things, leave things. So that is now done. And completed. She runs better than ever before.


The previous work. Snowboard video, Halloween spank video, Christmas dance, Dildo ride.
They are not scrapped. Only on hold. The renders where not good enough to publish. We where still in early development at that time with the LGGF.
Many animations require mocap (like the dildo ride and snowboard) or it will look terrible, and will be made as soon as we can. I will not break a promise.

ARP! (See video 2-4)
https://blendermarket.com/products/auto-rig-pro  We are proud to say we are going to be using the fantastic and affordable ARP for all future animations. Not only is it way simpler than what we used before, which was a very heavily modified version of the rigify system. With ARP, we will be able to make animations faster and easier thanks to its many features such as corrective shapekey bindings, auto weight bind and adjustable settings at any time.

Physics was a success! We ported all the different parts that make Njorijanna or (LGGF) have the drooling Lustgard quality jiggle physics. What is left to figure out is the deformation and collision of all surfaces.


The future is motion capture.
Yes.
Lustgard is investing in motion capture equipment for our Curvaceous Blonde Norwegian voice actress use for all of Njorijannas animations.
No longer will I need to sit months on end animating by hand to deliver.
Motion capture is not perfect, but damn close.
So it does not put me out of a job hah. Still needs some touchup post capture work.
It does not only mean body mocap. Facial mocap is being invested in too.
We need more funding to have that goal reached. But if all goes well, maybe by fall.

What does this mean for you?

Well, in short. When we can afford to get our hands on mocap, and finished up the groundwork for our LGGF model in both the body and facial department for that tech, we will have paved the way for many of my other written characters in Lustgard to come to life! For example, our Azzetar queen can read the mocap data, and come alive just like Njorijanna.

The website is still in heavy development, and will have a forum option with discord pass and reads info from patreons and subscribestars to give those fine Lustgardians the proper V.I.P treatment.

You can guess, but we really cannot say anything about it at this time. :)))
