GTS Electronics & Appliances Chapter 10: The Connection! (Patreon)

Kyle went about his days pretty much on the edge. WIth every step he took it felt like he had a whole pack of dynamite strapped to his waist a pack that could go off at any second.

With every street he found himself walking down He always felt like he was always being watched, and therefor he felt like he always had to look over his shoulder even though deep down he knew that it was nearly his imagination.

This Saturday morning was no different. In fact for some reason Kyle felt more nervous than ever before. He didn't even want to leave the house, today was important. Today was the day that He was going to visit Derrick in the hospital.

It had been two day since the fight that pretty much leveled half of the town, and ever since the giant fight had pretty much been on every channel, which made the whole thing hard to forget.

Kyle felt horrible for ever since that day he had locked himself in his room, never paying Derrick a visit in the hospital, Derrick who had been lying unconscious in the hospital.

Kyle while getting dressed remembered the talk he had, had with Derricks mom over the phone. She explained how the doctors found nothing wrong with Derrick, and couldn't understand why he remained unconscious.

Today on this Saturday morning Kyle had received a call from Derricks mom once again and with joy explained how earlier in the morning Derrick had woken up.

Kyle looked into the bed room mirror, his eyes worried and filled with exhaustion. Deep down he was happy, happy that his best friend seemed to be ok, but deep down he knew that this was only the beginning.

["Derrick what happened to you?"] Kyle thought to himself. ["Why where you unconscious for two day?"]

[IT IS BECAUSE OF THE LOST CONNECTION BETWEEN ELECTRONIC AND CONDUCTOR MASTER.]

Kyle looked over at his iPhone 8 that rested on his  far off dresser. He was very careful not to touch it or even acknowledge its presence ever sense their previous conversation.

"What do you mean list connection?" Kyle asked turning his attention towards his phone.

["REMEMBER MASTER THAT THEIR ID A CONNECTION BETWEEN CONDUCTORS AND ALL OF THE DEVICES THAT THEY USE."]

"Yea I remember that you where talking about something like that."

["PRECISELY THIS CONNECTION OR BOND IS WHAT STRENGTHENS BOTH A CONDUCTOR AND THEIR ELECTRONIC, BUT IT CAN ALSO BE DAMAGING AS WELL."]

Kyle could feel his heart almost come right out if his chest as he listened to such words. "What how!?"

["WHEN A CONDUCTOR LOSES THEIR ELECTRONIC, OR A ELECTRONIC LOSES THEIR MASTER, THE BOND BETWEEN THEM WILL BE BROKEN..."]

The room went silent as the iPhone 8 paused in her explanation. Kyle couldn't see a face but he could tell that the conversation was becoming uncomfortable.

["WHEN THAT HAPPENS DAMAGE OCCURS TO BOTH PARTIES... DAMAGE THAT CAN SOMETIMES RESULT IN DEATH."]

Kyle covered his mouth with his right hand. "That sounds sick."

"So then why did Derricks phone try to attack him?"

[IM AFRAID NOT EVERY DEVICE WILL BE AS BENEVOLENT TO THEIR OWNERS LIKE ME MASTER. IN FACT SOME WILL HARBOR SUCH DARK FEELINGS FOR THEIR OWNERS THAT MANY WILL TAKE THE RISK AND REBEL AGAINST THEIR MASTERS."]

"Gulp."

["WORRY NOT MASTER I HAVE NO SUCH INTENTIONS. FOR IF I WERE TO DO SO THE DAMAGE TAKEN WOULD BE IMMENSE. THE STRONGER THE BOND THE GREATER THE DAMAGE."]

"So you mean that I could be killed if the bond between us is severed?!" Kyle yelled out.

["YES MASTER."]

For a moment Kyle lost the will to breath as he with tears in his eyes fell back onto his bed.

"My life is over."

["WORRY NOT MASTER I WILL NEVER LET ANY HARM COME TO YOU."]

Kyle looked towards the small device on his dresser.

"You know you never told me..."

"Bang!"

Kyle stopped talking as his door busted wide open, revealing his mother Hilda Baum who appeared to be in a panicked sweat.

"Kyle!" She yelled.

Kyle sat up from his bed "Mom what's wrong?"

"You can't go to the hospital!" Hilda took a few steps forward.

"What why!?" Kyle asked filling a little upset, he had to make it to the hospital, he really wanted to see Derrick.

"It's being attacked by a giant woman!"

Kyle opened his eyes in surprise. "Wait what?"
