Upcoming changes and explanation for slowed content release (Patreon)

I hope you're all doing well so far this year. I just needed to drop a couple of quick updates since I know my posting for the last month has been very slow. I already have five New stories that are either already ready to go up or just need a bit of final editing to be ready but I've been a little delayed and reluctant and posting them because of a continuing problem. All of my work is still being taken from here and uploaded for free on that patreon piracy site. And it's usually uploaded within one or two days at most after I share it

I don't know why one of my followers thinks it's okay to steal my work directly in contradiction to my explicit direction that My work is not for any reason to be shared by anyone else on any other website besides where I post it or when I give someone specific permission to post it on my behalf. You want to steal from Walmart that's fine they've stolen enough from society that's morally justifiable. You want a pirate games from EA go for it they do the same thing those big companies have been fucking over people for decades. But I am a small time writer trying to make a living for myself doing something that i Love but for whatever reason either people seem to think that $3 is too much to ask for seeing my work. And it's not even like you have to wait that long if you don't want to pay that. I usually post the story publicly only a week or so after it goes up here. So it only means either you have absolutely no respect for me as a creator and a fellow human being trying to pay his bills or you're one of those people that use that dumbass argument of well I wasn't going to pay for anyway so I might as well get it for free.

For all of my legitimate supporters that aren't stealing and sharing my work I apologize that this is causing a delay in me providing you more of my work in exchange for your support.

The short version is I'm going to be radically changing how my work is distributed to curtail the majority of this theft and illegal redistribution. Unfortunately that's by definition going to add another hoop or two to have to jump through for me to share that work with you both on my site and on yours. For that I apologize. But if you want to blame anyone blame the people that can't wait a goddamn week or spare three bucks to see my work.

More than likely I'm going to wind up having to give my supporters access to a platform where my stories are hosted that you will have to access via your email. I'm playing around with another idea that I would like to think would be a little easier but I don't know if it's going to work out. Because my games are easy to manage this with for the most part since itch.io actually has patreon support but from a stories there's not very many good options.

Another change that will be happening is I've decided that I'm going to extend the exclusivity period Of my work. Now all stories will be exclusive to patreon for a minimum of 30 days. I feel like I want to give at least some kind of a perk to you guys for sticking around and supporting me so you guys will still get to see all of my work early you'll just get to see it a lot earlier now.

As soon as I have that system in place I'll have several new stories to share with you all.

Ask for the game update me and Articus are putting the final touches on the next update for a date with Fang. I've got most of the second stage laid out, some of it fully written some of it with placeholder text but at least enough that it will function properly so we can thoroughly test the transition how it's working so far. And also, personally, I think you all will enjoy the second stage as things start to get a little spicier. I'm hoping to have the rest of the writing done by tomorrow and hand it off to him for him to finish implementing so our goal is tentatively to have this out by the weekend. We're still doing a lot of tweaks and adjustments on the back end, playing around with features were considering to make it a more interactive experience so I hope once we get a little bit further into the development process it will have been worth the wait.

So again sorry that My legitimate supporters have to deal with this shit. I still wish I could find better words than just thank you to express how genuinely appreciative I am for so many of you being willing to support me in this endeavor to make my passion a livable career. Stay tuned for when I have the new system in place to share work with you all. For at least a small consolation for the extra hoop she'll have to jump through if everything works like I intended to you'll all have easier access to the full library of my work instead of having to sort through the myriad of patreon posts to find stuff as I plan to upload the entire catalog up to this point on the new hosting system.
