Hello everyone! I really hope you've had a good year or if it's been rough like I know a lot of people have had that the coming year is looking to be a little brighter.

I wanted to take a moment to announce some changes I've been thinking about as far as content I was going to be producing here on my patreon.

The first and most important one is going to be that I think I'm going to be switching to a bi-monthly release of updates for Changing Perspectives Again. The main reason is that creating updates for that has become increasingly time consuming and while it's absolutely a project i have no intention of abandoning there are other projects that I've been wanting to work on to share with you all such as "A Date with Fang" and a couple of other projects that I've already worked on a bit but haven't had the time or energy to get to a playable/ shareable point yet.

On top of that the last few months I've been struggling pretty hard with writers block as some of you may have seen or heard. It's spawned from a myriad of minor issues But I don't really want to get into that culminated into a larger problem the last quarter of this year but I'm getting past a good number of those problems and working my way through it so hopefully I'll be able to get my productivity at least back to where it was the first half of last year if not, I hope, better.

Especially the last few months I found myself reminiscing about when I first started working on scientific espionage and thinking about how I enjoyed making a game like that. Unfortunately I don't think it's something I'll be able to go back to just because of how tangled up the code for that game is since it was the first game like that I ever made and it wound up becoming way larger than I intended and that only compounded the convoluted nature of its back end. If I were to try to add more to it I would basically have to rebuild the game from the ground up. I want to make more interactive experiences like that, which is part of why I was experimenting with the visual novels that I shared with you all and a couple of other things I haven't yet shared that I'm really hoping I can make some progress on and have something tangible to show for this coming year.

I don't want to make a bunch of promises because I know how these things can go but I do want to give all of you a few hints of things already in production and a few ideas of things I intend to try to realize this year because I would not have been able to get this far without all of you fantastic people helping to support me make creating things I love like these stories in games as a viable way to support myself.

You've already seen A Date with Fang in its prototype stage, one of the first things I'm hoping to have done this coming year is a more complete version of that. Me and Articus also already have another game of a similar type tentatively planned out that will expand on the mechanics and add some new ones that were really excited to work on next. On top of that we've played around with a few preliminary pieces for a macro micro themed clicker/idle game and a text-based RPG in the planning stages.

Another thing that is still very much in the planning stage but is extremely high on the list of things I would love to make real this coming year is something new in the setting of changing perspectives. Specifically, a visual novel. It kind of got mentioned off-handedly with a friend of mine but ever since then it's kind of hit me that I never realized how unintentionally perfect the cast of changing perspectives is for a visual novel style dating sim. Ever since I've desperately craved to create something like that and my first experiment with visual novels before the two I shared was actually an extremely basic prototype of something to that effect. Though it's not really in a state where I feel like that in particular is worth sharing but if I can find an artist to work with me on the visual assets if there was only one project I could realize next year it would be that one.

This is on top of other various one-off stories and additions to changing perspectives again that I have planned and a couple of different ideas for novels that I've been fine tuning and sitting on for a couple of years now that I'm going to make another attempt to write in hopes of getting past my imposter syndrome.

All in all I have a lot of things planned for the coming year and while I don't know and don't want to promise how much of it will become fully realized I plan to work on as much of it as possible because I love creating things like this and I love sharing them with all of you. At the end of the day there's pretty much nothing else that makes me as happy as being able to create literary artwork that people enjoy.

So again thank you all so much for all of your support through this last year and I hope with this coming year I can continue to create things that you all enjoy enough to continue supporting me.

Love all of you and I hope you all have the greatest New Year possible <3
