Hi guys,

I'm going to give a WIP update regarding the next Project, Nina Kosaka.

I would say that the modeling process is going pretty okay. Nina's model is not as hard as other models, like Finana or Pomu. Nina's model is probably one of the easiest models that I have to deal with, besides Selen.

There are hurdles and obstacles like any other project. Nina's model is less of a challenge but feels tedious. It kind of reminds me of making Enna's model, where I have to deal with her feathers and wings. But this time, I have to deal with mostly her spiky hair and her fluffy ears.

Besides that, this week is also easter week. Happy easter everyone. However, It also means that I have to spend more time hanging out with my family this week to keep things cool. So there are moments when I cannot allocate my time to work on the Project.

Based on the preview, I think you already notice that I did not include her outer kimono (Red Kimono). It is intentional. I already know that her red kimono would require a special mechanism (like shape keys) because the red kimono would be all over the place when you try to move it. Since her red kimono is located below her elbow (it is already bad enough if it is below the shoulder), when you try to make a t-pose, it will either overstretch the model or some parts get stuck because it has to follow different bones (either the arm bone, the chest bone, or the breast bone).

My general opinion from Nina's design sheet is that it is kind of bad. There are some parts of the design that are not detailed or missing. Her base head looks a lot more oval (instead of spherical) than other Niji livers. I spent almost a day reworking the head and adding additional hair to fix it. However, the worst offense that her design sheet has ever made is that her chest or shoulder is bigger than the waist. This makes Nina's model with the weirdest model proportion out of other Niji Livers.

A good body proportion of a female model is that the waist should always be wider than the shoulder (specifically the armpit area).

As such, I will take a liberal approach to her design to make Nina's model more attractive by making her waists larger. Sigh. This would usually require a lot of work because the buttcheek area would require additional sculpting.

Her model after texture looks quite good. I will make the more detailed texture (kimono stencils, face tattoo) later on after this update. I got lots of things ongoing, like packing up Rosemi models and writing diaries. But this WIP needs to come out first.

I hope you enjoy this week's progress!
