Here are three of my favorite albums of my life.

1.ELP "TARKUS"

I love the distorted sound of the Hammond organ and the fat synth leads on the MOOG synthesizer.

When I first started working out of college, I was designing generators for cars. The Hammond organ's tone wheel is very similar to the construction of an automobile generator in that it is accelerated by a starter motor and the crank signal is detected by a pickup coil. My interest in generators led to my interest in Hammond organs, which led me to listen to ELP.

2. Yellow Magic Orchestra "Yellow Magic Orchestra".

Ryuichi Sakamoto was a member of this band, and you can hear the sounds of MOOG modular synthesizers and analog synthesizers from around 1980.

Major pentatonic, a traditional Japanese scale, and modern harmony like Debussy's are wonderful. The main composer, Ryuichi Sakamoto, studied composition at one of Japan's most prestigious art universities. Therefore, his compositional approach is very academic and theoretical.

3.MARVIN GAYE "what's going on"

I was impressed by the album's theme, lyrics, and social context.

The electric bass played by James Jemerson and lo-fi strings are also great.

All of these albums are several decades old now.

I am not a fan of music with loud sound pressure levels after 1990.

I like older music with the right amount of intonation (like the level meter swings off with the sound of a snare).
