This is a revival of a DIY article on modular synthesizers that appeared in Electronics Magazine in the 1970s.

The schematics are all hand-written.

Nicknamed "Yamashita Synth," and is famous as a project undertaken by students who wanted a synthesizer but didn't have the money. (Synthesizers in the 1970s were very expensive.)

I would like to introduce "Yamashita Synth" another time.

The book is 200 pages long and is aimed at intermediate users, and the schematics are based on old electronic components from the 1970s, so it may be difficult to reproduce them with today's components.

It's a valuable book that gives you an idea of what DIYers in the 1970s were thinking when they made modular synths.
