I have to be honest, it is wild to me that you have reacted to Nightmare and this song, but somehow missed Hail to the King, easily one of their best songs

No genre of music can evoke every emotion or make us think as deeply as rock can. Not only are the vocalists usually the best you'll ever hear but most rockers place utmost importance in their actual lyrics and not afraid to expose their emotions honestly. Something we can all learn from. You'll find a lot have both heavy tracks as well as more like this, as you've experienced with the contrast with "nightmare", and slipknot "snuff". It's why I love rock. Depending on my mood I can always listen to rock☺️ If you ever want a break from the heavier suggestions, I can recommend disturbed "a reason to fight", alterbridge "blackbird" and halestorm ft Amy Lee " break in" ...stunning duet with two queens of rock.
