Quick backstory:

So as you know, I’m going on a journey of Ren’s music soon so I’ve got his music in my Watch Later list. This caused the algorithm to present one of his instrumentals to me. I still haven’t listened to his version yet so I’m very interested to hear what he did to this beat. As soon as I heard it, it sounded like an old video game I used to play but don’t remember the name of (it’s been annoying me for weeks), anyway I recorded this weeks ago and then out of the blue, some kid messaged me on Instagram saying he was 16 and his dream was to become a producer. So I gave him the raw vocals and just asked him to be creative - I told him I wanted it to sound like every 4 to 8 bars was being rapped by somebody or something different, representing the schizophrenic way I write sometimes and tbh he nailed it. He even added something personal from the channel in the beginning which I thought was pretty cool too.

I don’t put out everything I record because the whole process is therapeutic for me and I enjoy going back through them to see where my mental state was at. It also helps with memory and/or the repression of. But this was something fun I made in under an hour because I felt creative and the lad didn’t do half bad so, have at it 🫶
