Tbf i dont know much about his discography however Hikikomori has been in my playlist for ages. It’s very different from this, it’s very emotional so just putting that out there:)

Yesss! Thank you Ksenia! Just recently been made aware of this guy and he’s amazing! Definitely check out Hikikomori, it’s seriously emotional, but also just one of the most beautiful/creative songs. Also, he just released a new Mini album. Ride or Die is the title. It’s got a MV. The whole albums is pretty great. He’s from a kpop band called BAP, they had a lot of issues with their company and being mistreated. So a lot of his kpop references have to do with that. But that’s all I really know. Only been a fan for like a week. Haha.

I requested this song too and to see you say: NO NO NO NO was worth the wait. Since ksenia took my thunder lol :) Please react to Bang Yongguk- XIA XIA. He has many good songs with no MV...please don't hear it all by yourself...the views lie, he's a great artist.

So, back story Bang Yongguk was a part of B.A.P one the the most promising groups that came out of South Korea. A lot of their music and m/vs spoke out against the establishment and government. Many people believe that if they would have been under a better company they would have been one of the biggest kpop groups in the world right now. The company they were under was an absolute shit show. Almost every single artist under them sued them for mistreatment and stealing money from the artists. They had to sue the company and never recovered from it. Besides Bang Yongguk they also had a rapper named Zelo who was at one point the fastest Kpop rapper in the industry. Bang Yongguk was the leader and the first out of the group to not renew his contract. Zelo followed soon after. And the remaining members also did not renew their contracts in solidarity. Everyone says they disbanded but all the members are in agreement that they have not and that they are still a group. They all have pursued solo careers and non have had much success because a lot of their old fans either no longer listen to kpop or have moved on to other groups and forgot about them. Bang Yongguk wrote and produced almost all his groups music. He also continues to write and produce for other artists and groups. So that's what the lyric "Kpop wants me, I am stacking my beats" is referring to. He just released his 3rd solo album in May and just finished his first solo US tour. He is getting ready to go on tour in Europe. This song was an experimental song for him because he never released a Drill Beat song before. He openly addresses the bad side of the music industry and struggling with mental illness in a lot of his earlier music. I recommend his older songs Yamazaki or Xie Xie if you prefer hype songs. His new album I suggest Ride or Die and Rain On Me. One of the most lyrically slept on Kpop songs is the song Pray (주소서) by Bang Yongguk and Zelo. B.A.P's song Ribbon in the Sky calls out the corrupt government and media. He has never been afraid to use his platform to address corruption and social issues.
