Players like Hanimiya are really frustrating and confusing at exactly the same time. There are some players out there that plays dirty but as an athlete I can’t say we dislike them or like them because they usually have a backstory, a legacy or has made a noticeable impact on the sport that you have to respect. They also can be a completely different person when they’re not in that “athlete mode”, that can actually make them a likable or even lovable person. I have a friend that plays fairly dirty on the pitch and court but when he’s not in that “athlete mode” he’s one of the kindest, and most caring people I’ve ever met. I don’t like what his dirty play style on the court but I definitely respect how good of a player he is, same goes for Hanemiya.

That's the thing - people on court and off can be total opposites! The fact that they gave him a backstory and made him this super smart guy with an IQ of idkwhat I'm like damn I wish he used that big brain instead 😩 but it is what it is. Just his style of playing ig

Continuing on what I was saying last episode, this is precisely why I hate Makoto and find it disgusting how he goes full sadistic. He's FUCKING TALENTED, this idiot could be an even more incredible player if he played things fair and square, or at least to a level that's acceptable (this is highly unrealistic, this never happens in games lol) like what Nohebi was doing in Haikyuu! That was realistic "dirty" plays, and it wasn't even that bad really. Happy Baba Marta (I hope I don't butcher it) to all concerned!

Hanamiya ngl giving me Lelouch and Light vibes lol. Sneaky and smart af, playing mind games and loves it when their plans fall through. Ppl of his intellect oftentimes are too smart and bored of the things around them. Thats probably one reason why he goes for these sneaky and dirty approaches because playing the game by the book is too boring. Ofc, since this is a sports game, its just dirty play. But damn put this guy in another genre and he wud be a menace

Street ball in America can get ruff like this game too. It's something you just get used to. If you really think about it, that's why Aomine plays the way he does. To absorb contact or avoid contact. This is so different from the Haikyuu love every team festival.
