September 2023 Update (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

Well, I forgot this past weekend was Labour Day here in Canada - that's what happens when you do freelance work and base your career on an online platform like this. I quickly got sucked into some family things that I didn't have on my radar, so this update is coming a little later than I expected it to.

August Recap

August was a big month! Other than kicking off Year 2 of this Patreon, we had a big month of growth which was really encouraging to see despite the weird-isms of Patreon's system deciding to make things harder on creators.

It was also a month of slow progress on a lot of things - writing almost everything took much longer than I expected on every project, and I didn't even get the Commissions out that I wanted to. To run down the list of successes and misses from last update:

- I broke 100 releases on Literotica! This doesn't really feel like an achievement, but it's a milestone so I thought I would mention it. AMA and OFG do the heavy lifting for most of the numbers, and my 'Your Works' tab has gotten a lot more crowded.

- We saw 3/4 releases for AMA and OFG, so close but not as much as I wanted. I definitely screwed up the 'Getting ahead of schedule' on them though. I'm looking forward to getting back to both of them though!

- FoF got it's release, and QTNW is getting it's release alongside this update, so take that as you will. Both have new chapters finally though!

- No Compilation bundles were completed. This is a task item that I really want to get done, but stands dramatically in front of the actual writing because it's a time sink to edit so much content.

- Starship Repo got a bit of planning done, but no writing worth releasing. The planning is good though!

- With Character Art, we got Terra out! We're also waiting on the Butts 2 commission from Bayushi, who is hard at work to deliver us Wanda, Becca and Terra. We also got the super awesome Becca and Wanda beach pinup from TheDarkToon, and a new face for me to use as an Avatar! I am super happy with the work he's done so far and am keeping my mind open to what else I could work with him on.

- Reddit Advertising: I advertised over on r/Romance_for_men and r/Harem. Neither had the engagement or numbers that the confrontation on r/FantasyHaremLit did, but I'm hoping some of our new folks from last month did find us that way!

- Personal Goal: My 'get outside more' goal was only moderately successful. I didn't do nearly as much exercise as I should have most weeks, but then I got a whole LOT of exercise in when I went to Toronto Fan Expo and walked/carried a heavy bag for hours on end. It was a fun time, I got to reconnect with a buddy, and I bought some cool art prints and some old comics. Didn't meet any hot cosplayers looking for a relationship though, so no Real Life AMA for me... yet...

- Surprise Release: One thing that DID get released that wasn't planned was a new story called 'Porcelain' as an Alpha draft. It's a one-shot that I had stuck in my head for a while and have chipped away at here and there for a few months. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and the Beta version will release sometime in September to all patrons. It's a story meant to fit into the 'Interracial' category on 

Plans for September

Primary Goals

- OFG and AMA should get 4+ total releases. This is one of my primary goals for the month to get ahead.

- FoF and QT:NW will also each get a release this month.

- Porcelain will get a Beta release to all patrons

- At least one release for Le Francais and Growing Affections

Secondary Goals

- At least one chapter release for Starship Repo

- OFG Compilation Bundles

Other Stuff

- Editing is in progress for the All 4 1 Harem Anthology Project!

- Another Character Art release from Bayushi

- Starting the Illustrated Novela project!

Patron Goal Achieved!

We have officially passed 600 Patrons (the official number for August is currently 633, but that goes up as more declined payments are fixed)

That means that the community has unlocked the Illustrated Novella goal! As a reminder, the aim for this project is to create a Novella-sized story (~25-30,000 words) that is accompanied by a series of in-story images. AKA an adult picture novel. These are sometimes called 'Light Novels'.

Unlike the Butts! goal, this is a more long-term project and YOU, the patrons, will have a hand in directing it. A poll is being put out alongside this Update, so go check that out for more info on the first steps of the project.

As a reminder, the next Goal for the community is keeping 750 patrons over a month turnover; at that point, we'll start looking at making a full Erotica Comic as another long-term project.
