This is an entirely random thought brought on by stopping in at a bookstore while I was out buying a Father's Day gift.

A big part of writing is reading; it helps develop style, inspires emotional beats and moments, and with analysis teaches you things about what works and what doesn't. Sometimes I actually have a hard time truly enjoying books because I can see the potential and where certain things should have been changed.

Anyways, I'm just wondering if you all would want to hear about what I'm reading and what I think about it. I would try to keep it spoiler free, and most of what I read is Fantasy or Science Fiction. I could also do this for Erotica.

So that's my random question for you all today!

I’m always looking for new things to read!

i answered no, but the no option feels harsher than my opinion. i dont really want it but i wouldnt be upset if you did it🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm not really against it but I would prefer the time devoted to releases.

Bart

Like to see what you're reading, but nor at the expense of your writing time

You forgot the option "How dare you take time out from writing!"

I would rather you would continue your stories but as others have responded i would not be upset if you did. On a side note i have been read FOF since you started posting it on lit. But iI have become a huge fan of Quaranteam and am always looking for the next post.

Both life experience and reading make writers better, and if you hadn't taken time to read Quaranteam.... well, I'd still probably support you on the basis of Triple Blonde Study, but we'd all be missing out. I'll be okay with whatever path you choose. I voted for monthly, reasoning that monthly updates would weed out the less memorable stuff (positive or negative) from your commentary.

Enjoy what you want to read. However, the time spent writing about your reactions to this, would or could add additional delays in your commitment to writing further chapters of your works. I see the delays of others (Alpha to Literotica). Six months or more of a wait on Literotica. Once you start a series, those readers waiting your next posting. That is how I allowed myself to get suckered to Patreon. Keep up the good works, just know we are waiting. Stay safe.

I would appreciate knowing what you are reading, because I don't exactly have a great source for new works in those genres other than algorithms anymore. That said, I don't necessarily want a weekly bookclub review hanging over your head. However, when you would feel moved to write a review online for a book, I'd appreciate a copy paste in your next update. Also, if you use a book discussion to jumpstart your writing or getting a brain worm (idea/issue that won't go away) out, I'd appreciate that in an update as well. I just wouldn't want you tied to an obligation for it nor would I appreciate it over you telling your stories. I very much appreciate the music recommendations from corrupting power, though, my wife not so much. A book recommendation, however, I can keep to myself.

I read a lot. A lot Of that lot, is not worth commenting on. Maybe that would be a good model for you as well?

Coyote

I would enjoy a book club, but of like all available reads. Manga, light novels, fan fics and of course regular books. Most book clubs only do regular books.

Bart

Curious how much you read on Literotica?

breakthebar

I go through cycles of actively checking my preferred categories or not. With how much writing I've been doing recently I haven't been as actively searching for stories there or on CHYOA and when I do I often find there isn't anything that catches my eye, or holds my attention past the first couple of paragraphs. If anyone has suggestions of Lit authors that are currently active and releasing stories or chapters, let me know!
