January has continued to be a bitch, but surprisingly we're still on track for the releases by the end of the month because despite what I said about focusing on one story I ended up doing some jumping around with planning. To be frank, I over-wrote FoF 15, then did another draft where I under-wrote it, then found a balance between the two that I was happy enough to move on from. Frustrating, but necessary.

It did bring up some other questions I had that I'm interested in hearing from folks about - recently I've noticed my big sex scenes haven't been hitting the same level of detail as some of my older chapters and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. One the one hand, I was a little wordy and very detailed which meant the scenes could drag on. On the other, they were hot. These days I'm finding the scenes move faster from beat to beat but don't necessarily hit the same. If anyone has thoughts I'd love to hear them, as this is directly tied to my other ever-present second guessing about how much to balance sex scenes with plot progression.

Anyways, 2 QT:NW chapters should be coming out very soon (a day or two), followed by double-releases of OFG and AMA. The Patreon is now going to have 2 Alpha chapters and 2 Beta chapters for the big series at a time for the tiers, and I'll be getting the CHYOA series streamlined.

Personally I'm a fan of the extra detail and length the big scenes had, it was engaging and felt like a good speed. As you said now it's a bit less detail, I'd prefer the extra detail and length

Gonna give +1 to the extra detail scenes, some of the recent ones have felt a little rushed and not as intimate

I personally prefer your current style of sex scenes to your old one, but I read you material more because of the characters and your writing style in general than for the sex. I agree the older more detailed scenes were hotter so maybe you can dip your toe back into that style when a really plot relevant scene comes up just to make it feel extra special instead of just hot people doing hot things. I don't know, I can understand where you would struggle with this because as a reader I feel like both styles have their place. I know that is probably not helpful, but... it's what I personally feel and you did ask.

I personally prefer the older style they were very hot. The newer style is good but they do feel a little cut down.

I too ike plot over the sex but just do one god sex scean per chapter and more plot please.

my thoughts on sex scenes are: the more I am invested in a story, the less interested I am in the smut. Not your stories so much but I have read stories where I completely lose interest in it and tend to skim past the smut to get back to the story. So I am not fussed either way.

I like the mix of sex to other action you usually give us. Just like in life, there are only just so many ways one person can fuck/make love/do the hunka-chunka, or whatever. Of course your descriptions will run a little shorter over time; you've already described them before in the most likely way they'd get together. I suppose you could break out some 20-sided dice to choose your page from the kama sutra to describe your characters' activity to keep it fresh, but really? Keep up your great writing and keep asking questions ... I love giving answers I'm Not responsible for, lol!

The thing I love about your stories is no matter how fantastical the plot the characters are real people. They laugh, love, cry, worry, and get angry just like we do. The sex scenes are part of that but they are the least real. Sometimes we have deep meaningful detailed erotic encounters… sometimes we just fuck. So I guess my vote is a mixture of the two styles… whichever fits the storyline best. Keep doing what you do, we’ll be here.

This is a really kind and sweet set of feedback. Thank you so much! I'm hoping that I'm striking this balance, or getting close to it, with all of the series right now. I'm most worried about the 'big scenes' where I feel like I've lost a touch of the nitty-gritty details.
