Taxes thingy (Patreon)

Howdy! There’s been some changes to how taxes work on patreon’s end (in a good way):

“Some patrons will see an additional line item on their receipt for sales tax starting July 1st. Since tax laws and rates vary from country to country and state to state, the amount will be different for different patrons. The money that Patreon collects as a result of these laws will be paid directly to local governments.” - Patreon

The game is free and we’re not selling anything, when you pledge to our game - you’re supporting us personally.

Each Alpha build becomes public after we release the next one, all our patrons can participate in the testings after making their pledge.

The rewards that we offer are our way of saying “thank you” for your faith in the project and kindness to us.

While we’re paying taxes for every donation we receive, I don’t see why you also need to pay extra for something that is free, so the “value” of our pledges is adjusted accordingly and you should pay a minimum amount of fees.

Today I’ve changed tier description, we no longer offer a demo as a reward, you all are now our Alpha-Testers (which is true). This way, if you’re not a part of the EU, you should be able to pay less taxes (as you should have from the beginning), and if you’re from the EU - nothing has changed for you (unfortunately).
