Howdy! Here’s what we did:

This week I’ve been writing for the farm, did some promo work, updated our page, and this post contains our bugfix.

Note: Everyone who got their saves stuck at “black screen” - load them and press “H” key.

First of all, I want to warn you about the autosave change, and this is quite important:

We will fix our crashes and freezes, it’s not an unsolvable problem - but we need more time to do that, “autosave” is a bandaid, a temporary solution.

We picked our previous autosave because it worked with older saves, and our new one - doesnt.

This doesn't break your saves, it just won’t work with them. If you want to play with the autosave option you’ll have to start a new game and “turn it on” in the options (It works best when you look seductively at it, while gently pressing on your mouse).

By default autosave is “off”, if you’re playing with old savefiles - do not turn it on (it won’t corrupt them, but you’ll be unable to save at all and have to restart the game, after turning autosave off again).

Note: Defenestration is not linear - you don’t need to complete everything if you’re starting a new game. For example, our gym is available right at the start. “Farm” will have only one requirement (you’ll have to unlock the “city gate” to leave the city). On top of that, we will layer all our events and edit the text in them in the coming months, so keep in mind that older content will be changed again - there’s really no reason for you to replay everything (unless you just want to).

New autosave saves in three separate slots, and you can tell it when to save - in the menu, during location change or never. “Location change” means during “teleport”, so it also saves mid dialogue (it basically saves every 30 seconds).

Saving eats memory - so the game may freeze, it will eventually unfreeze, but it’s quicker to restart it. So keep in mind that picking both “save in menu” and “save during location change” ironically increases the chances of freezes & crashes.

- Made some suggested changes in code to help with crashing issue;

- Updated ingame menu picture to include useful info;

- Temporarily lowered Lust requirements from 10 to 5 in gym “grope” events;

- Separated Katya from her “Shop” (Aug’s shop now has a “terminal” thingy);

- Removed second bed option (sewer) from the game (it was causing a ton of problems);

- Changed Takeshi logic (Each time you get arrested he’ll have new dialogue, first time - intro, second - tramp stamp tattoo, third - crotch tattoo);

- Changed logic in “Dream” event (have “Red Kira” unlocked, gather 5 things with a “star” on them, pick “fuck off” option - now you’ll be able to pick absolutely everything, including 50 Lust boost);

- Changed the hospital elevator to let you know when you can use it (the circle will appear).

Bugfixes:

- Fixed pink hair issue in grope events;

- Fixed 4th breast size issue in grope event;

- Fixed big lips issue in grope events;

- Fixed “body writings” in gym squat events;

- Fixed “Slut” crotch tattoo in gym squat events;

- Fixed “hair salon” pink/white hair issue;

- Fixed “black screen” during park event;

- Fixed Legion box not appearing;

- Fixed breast enlargement order issue (you previously couldn’t get 4th size, if you’ve seen “Dream” event before “Experimental serum” event);

- Fixed “revealing ghost outfit” being transparent (yep, that wasn’t a weird artistic choice).

-Fixed Legion1 event showing zero pictures for 4th size Kira’s.

Honestly, thank you all for allowing us to do this with your moral and financial support, we love working on Defenestration and we’ll do our best to continue creating our silly quests and interesting events!
