COMIC(s): My First Vibrator (Patreon)

Ok, so I wrote up this big ol' post on the Oh Joy Sex Toy Patreon and then I realized... it'd actually be a fitting post to share here too? Ok! On to my double-dipping post!

Way, way back as a 20 year old, I made a comic for the anthology True Porn. As the name implies, it was all about true life sexual experiences the contributors had had- though not as the name implies, it definitely did not have to be titillating or sexy, because a lot (most?) of sex is actually really ridiculous or awkward or humbling or funny. So here was a book to showcase that!

In 2003, I made a comic for this anthology about my first vibrator and, consequently, my first orgasm. And then, ten years later, in 2013, Matt and I launched Oh Joy Sex Toy and I made a brand new comic about that same experience- but this time as a toy review for our site!

The True Porn book is decades out of print and I don't even remember when my original website back then crumpled to dust, so as far as I know: this is the only place you can read my original vibrator story in the last twenty years!

I've got the 2003 version first, and then below you can read the full 2013 OJST review. Personally, I love to compare the older work of artists, to see how their approach has changed and what quirks persist throughout the years. Maybe you will too? Only one way to find out!

If I had been on the ball, I would have told this story again in 2023, to keep my unintentional decade-long tradition running. Well, I never was good at math anyway, maybe I should still do a 2024 version.... ;)
