Ok, if I were listing my projects chronologically, then this one would have to go at the bottom of the post because it’s the last thing I made in September. But. It’s my favorite thing I made that month and I am the Queen of this Newsletter Domain, so who’s gunna stop me from showing you this first:

Like, there’s a whole-ass post explaining why and how I made this, along with links to the tutorial and printable template I used, and what teeny tiny book I traded for it at the Ultra Tiny Little Free Library, all of which I really hope you read, because, again: I MADE A TEENY TINY BOOK OUT OF MY NORMAL-SIZE BOOK and I am FUCKING! DELIGHTED!!! (But just a little bit.)

Horrifying bibliophiles everywhere, I continued to commit the blasphemy of cutting up old picture-heavy books to turn into weird little collages! Each cobbled-together piece answers a prompt from Lucy Bellwood’s ongoing What She Knows art course-thing.

What She Knows collages:

Of course, it wouldn’t be a month without me working away on my Letters From Space Camp graphic novel revisions! These posts may be of particular interest to the über comic artist nerds out there, as I really get into the weeds explaining how and why I changed my page layouts to better suit my script re-writes. Ooh, I also get into it on when to deviate from purely documenting what exactly happened in a real life story and when it’s time to fudge with the timeline (guess which link take you to that post?).

Letters From Space Camp

Oh! Haha, I also made a dumb little video about planting some garlic bulbs.

I’ll wrap up this September project summary with a little teaser of what you can expect to see me working on here next month…
