I did totally forget to upload these, didn't I?

To be fair, "A Promise Written In Blood" was done at EF and I couldn't access my patreon account from there, but the other two I could have shared with you earlier XD

Anyway, First up, "Friend". Based on another Inktober prompt, I was inspired by Portishead's Glory Box, as I wrote in the public post. The music underlines everything I wanted to have going on in this piece and while I did have a specific narrator in mind, you guys pointed out that there's a fair amount of ambiguousness, which I'm going to elect to uphold, unless you folks tell me otherwise ;3

Second is "Don't Get Mad ..." which, funnily enough, is a twitter shitstorm non-starter. Apparently someone had a bit of an opinionated reaction to it (which I'll grant, is part of the point - art is meant to provoke and inspire thought) and tried to get people worked up about it. It wasn't until someone unrelated actually bothered to ask me what my inspiration for the image was and I answered truthfully, that said person then decided to abate and the tweet was gone a day later.

Having said that, I'm not going to claim some of my art doesn't come from a dark place somewhere inside of me that wants to press that big red button and see the world in flames.

Which brings us nicely to "A Promise Written In Blood" a piece inspired by KMFDM's Professional Killer - the song serves as inspiration as a whole, even if the title and description line were pulled directly from the lyrics and the songs actual point is an entirely different one (death penalty executioners).

The background idea I'd had while working was pretty much exactly what Sherbniz ended up suggesting in the comment section; a hit(wo)man who enjoys using her natural assets for her job just a fair bit too much. While originally a little worried about pursuing the concept, I've since been encouraged to dive a little deeper by some artist friends, which I might do, even if I'm a little apprehensive about where that might lead me, both personally and artistically <_<

Lastly, a follow up image, which likely wont be finished as is, but will rather end up part of the exploration I just mentioned. A certain someone described it as "eyes that see the face of death looking right into them. With a smile on her muzzle." and that's about as close to what I want to explore as we'll get, until I can dedicate some time to it.

As always, let me know what you think :3

I guess I'm glad that I don't pay much attention to Twitter :P Also, I am not a bit tempted to put a hit(wo)man like that in my D&D game. Although, knowing my players they would find a way to never encounter her. Regardless, lots of cool stuff here :) Edit: If you ever need a prompt (probably not but who knows), I came across this one I rather liked: "For those who stood in the face of annihilation and said "More"."

2023-02-06 08:57:50 Good :b Not paying attention to twitter is plenty healthy, believe you me <_< Players do tend to be like that. It took a lot of work to guide my players into the campaign without railroading them (at least not without them knowing about it). Thank you! :3

Yeah, that's the challenge... we'll see how this one goes. If it doesn't work out, maybe I can use the idea for an HSD campaign instead :)
