Burrito envy was born of a stupid remark between me and Kota, because he felt left out when Antar and Tankana went out on their dinner date. There's a penis joke in there somewhere, but I'm not going to go looking for it. Suffice to say, anyone who is eight times your weight will also need eight times as many callories to burn.

Images 2 and 3 are more or less the same topic. Another bit in the saga of the ever-grumpy commando fennec, though 3 was actually meant to become more than just a sketch. I never did get around to finishing either of them beyond what you see here, but maybe they'll pop up again somewhere down the line. I know the fennec certainly will, as the topic of anthros on humans is something close to both my heart and yours :b

No work outside work. Something both I and Chiral have to remind Caccia of constantly.

And lastly, a series of Sandow's Amber making a move on some lucky fellow in an undefined location, with an unlucky fellow along for the ride. In-jokes. Oh no, another one. Haha. GodI'mhorribleHELP! XD

Now that I'm finally finding my way into this whole posting thing, I figure I can take some time aside and start talking about the background stuff I promissed to give you guys. So, in addition to the regular sketches allotted to this upload, here's a big load of WIP images for Kalahari's paint and RetroInferno's line image :3

Those of you who've commissioned me before know that I like to offer some variants of an image to choose from, before moving forward with anything. When painting, I usually make a very rought doodle and then add values, so we know roughly in what direction we're going to be moving.

With Kalahari's image, all three of them were highly dynamic proposals, though they all feature the protagonists slightly differently. Version three ended up winning, as you can tell, on account of the focus being on both characters (almost) equally, with the other two favoring either Aleutia or Kalahari respectively.

Next is a set of lines to allocate details and focal points, before I start with the painting process proper. The rest is more or less apint by numbers. Take each object of the painting in turn and work them up to the desired level of detail.

If the image is in color, the final level of detail is painted on top, after color layers have been added to the individual objects, because colors put over greyscale values behave slightly differently from how they would naturally look, but I don't actually have a WIP image to showcase what I mean. Maybe I can do that with a future paint some time.

The process is very similar with lined images, however the value and detailing steps are reversed, because lined images have to pay attention to how many lines are used and where, so as not to clutter up the image (or alternatively, guide the eye to where it's supposed to be).

The lining process is, again, somewhat paint by numbers. Sketch - Definition - Lines. In this case, since the characters in question had no real ref, I went in and offered some variations on the fur tone ( as snow leopards aren't quite as grey as our fandom likes to portray them as :b~ ).

Finally, add shading/lighting and put in highlights. Again, final detailing is not applied to the actual working layers, but to one or several separate layers, to avoid messing up what's there, so if you need to take something away because it doesn't look right, you can just erase without damaging the image, or just delete the layer outright.

And that's all folks! More, as usual, in future posts. The next one should be scheduled for the 20th of April and I'll make sure to get it right this time too :b

Hope you're all enjoying what I'm putting out for you and that everyone's healthy and safe in these strange times.

Yeah, she's a big'un. Not the biggest I've seen around, and I know there's definitely folks out there who've begun to watch me in hopes I'd increase the characters' sizes even more XD

Ah, the old problem. Nothing is ever big enough ;) BTW, seeing some of the alternate sketches is very cool too! As is grumpy commando fennec :)
