Special Note (Patreon)

Thank you all for the support on this project! I do want to reiterate that this design is completely separate from Patreon and Tribes. That being said again, I know there are some frustrations out there. 

Please try to understand, I have been working on this on the side for months and has not in any way effected the regular release schedule. Your support subscription is for Commercial License to sell any of my models as physical prints and to get 3 models a month. I try to at least make one dragon a month and working on expanding my design pool to include other collections. 

This month is not over and I hope that the regular releases will bring you just as much joy. The Infinity Dragon is a project of love for a dream I had wanted to accomplish. Doing it this way allowed me to get the time, support, and resources to not only bring such a huge project to you all but also not interfere with your normal releases. 

I hope that this brings some understanding to the why and I appreciate your continued support!

My only question is can it still be sold if we buy it as its not part of the patrion (just need to know if it goes in my personal use folder or the other)

I bought it without hesitation. You have been very clear you would not include it in the Patreon(the discount was a nice perk), and you have been very clear about what a subscription provides.

You are doing great. The infinity dragon is a brilliant concept and design. This is no different than taking a commission design. At least you are making it available for everyone to get. Keep up the great work and designs.

the point is that we pay a subscription for the dragon models. if you wanted to do something separate, it should have been something else,

No, you pay $10 a month for 3 new model designs, of the designer's choice, and a commercial license for the right to sell the prints of those designs. You may have subscribed for dragons, but that is not what the designer promised. However, even if it was, this special dragon is very different from the regular dragon models included in your subscription. It is not the same at all. It has taken way more time to design and is on a whole different level than the other dragons. It's worth a lot more. As a seller, I can do so much with this dragon, and it is well worth the extra money. It's almost infinite dragons limited only by your imagination (hence Infinity dragon). Just because it is a dragon, does not mean the designer needs to undervalue her time and effort and just give it to you because you want it. She has no contract with you or anyone else saying she owes you every dragon design she designs. It would actually bring you more business and you would be able sell it for more than the regular models because it is so customizable, but yet you have a hard time paying a small extra one-time fee for all the extra work she put into it??? Again, it is not the same as the other models. Not all dragons are made equal. This one is worth more and we will profit from it, so why should the designer not profit from her own creation?

You're sounding like a spoiled brat. No seller or creator is obligated to sell or make or not sell or make what you deem so. Are you part of the creation team, no then get over yourself. No where when I signed up for this patreon does it say only dragons and only exclusive for patreon subscribers.

are people really that petty that they are getting there knickers in a twist because of this? there is honestly nothing wrong with cinderwing selling this as a premium item because that's exactly what it is. if you don't like it then that's your problem. Myself on the other hand applaud cinderwing for branching out and making this. Well done.

Yes! As an active supporter on Patreon or Tribes you have a license to sell all of my designs as physical prints no matter where you got them! :)

the dragon is fully customisable essentially and its only $50 for anyone to sell that design which they can create any number of different dragon designs for ever. but in order for patrons to sell the design they have to purchase at $10 and then can only essentially sell the design for four $10 months active subscription and if they cancel they're patreon at any point they can no longer sell the design but may have spent well over $50, I'm not having a go at yourself or anything you're doing you should be proud of the MMF partnership however i can understand peoples frustrations when predominately 90% of designs released for the past three months have been re-release/updates, turtles or octopus with different details or modified model designs. i think you're cutting yourself out of potential long term memberships by having a commercial option through MMF as it would be cheaper in the long run for someone to pay the $50 and then be able to sell any number of dragon combinations forever without ever needing to spend another dollar or purchase anything further Don't take my comments as negative as it is not just perspective, what you should have done to have the best of both MMF partnership and patreon subscription, was do a particular Infinity dragon set with a full set of exclusive components which would have been only ever on MMF for $10 but then encouraged people to long term MMF or patreon subscriptions by having every other set of custom dragon components through the two subscription services, keeps long term memberships happy as they get an option without a further purchase, but still need to make that purchase if they want the exclusive design, and encourages people to join with you long term to further receive designs and components as they're further developed and designed.

and before i am crucified I have purchased the infinity dragon design and i love it and intend on having small tubs with the various pieces, and allowing people to build and create their own designs prior to purchase

Cinderwing, You have been meeting and often exceeding your commitments to us, and it is appreciated. We all look forward to what the new models are and become easily excited with surprises. The infinity dragon was something completely separate that you were working on, and you negotiated with the MyMiniFactory folks on our behalf to share some love back to us. I appreciate it and continue to look forward to what is next for your models, and the community. The community has been helpful and positive and helped me dive much further into 3D printing than I had expected. Thank you for your hard work, and I eagerly await what is next.
